  1. they said that you can't have suspension in that can alter the height by more than 40mm..
  2. i've got the konis book here and they class the sedan and coupe as the same insert??
  3. this is just for compliance, then the s-13 hubs and coilovers will go back in.. and the hr31 struts go in my r31...
  4. if i use these struts in the hr30 do i have the use the r31 insert or will the r30 insert fit? i'm getting a set for my r31 gxe, but wanted to put them in my hr30 for compliance cause i have to take out the coilovers, i can still use the r32 calipars and rotors on the import r31 struts...
  5. most suspension places can get them in allow 2days for them to get there and call around for prices.
  6. cut out just enough of the gearbox surrounds, small semi-circle at the back
  7. the rb20 box shifter sits back about 1/2 an inch past the end of the existing hole
  8. i dont get it, Mr Gibson owned the only racing r30 before the r31? and i don't recall any harsh words being said then (other than the lag the fj offered). gts-r was and still is a very different car to the aus spec r31??? can you think of how skylines today would be if nissan japan were able to use the rb30et rather than concerntrate on the rb20 at the time.
  9. the headlights are very different though as i tryed to fit mr lights to mine (after 4months of looking for dr lights) the guards slope down more. theres proof it does work....
  10. the good thing about the S3 aus r31s is all the good stuff from the coupe can bolt in , i've got the projector head lights, front auto spoiler and a set of front struts (larger brakes) comming, new aftermarket parts are not that expensive too.
  11. this is my r31 S3 gxe http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a240/rsx84/1b38a519.jpg
  12. with that budget you should ask yourself what YOU want cause you can pretty much get anything r31 wize, with a few exceptions, gts1 or 2 should set you back a bit more than 7-15000. i'd say look for a looked after Silhouette ($2500-3000) and spend the rest on suspension, leads, plugs, pod filter, extractors and exhaust... an example for you, this one has had some work done http://forum.r31skylineclub.com/index.php?topic=31978.0
  13. there not as big as i though mate, looks great...
  14. i think they went through all that so that they can run smaller rims??????????
  15. HPI ben ellis? there was a few issues with pics of his dr30...
  16. those rims make it like crazy as is, can only imagine what it going to be like finished, makes me want to get my finger out.....
  17. i don't think you'll be able to as theres the reverse and indocater lights as a part of the set up.
  18. i think my girls just a bit pissed at the moment as instead of finishing my r30, like she wanted me too, i spent 12 and a half grand on another r31, me bad.... she'll get over it once we go for a spin....
  19. its been a while since i was on here sorry if its a repost. me bad LOL
  20. its all good to say ??years is too harsh or not harsh enough, what if it was your family member that was killed...... regardless of events if no one learns from this event then its a waste... we control the car and our own futures (and potentially others)....
  21. just a quick question about partners, does yours understand the love you have for your car??? i may be pushing it a bit with 3 cars but whats the general partner feedback you get??? with my girlfriend i don't know which she hates more the money i spend or the time involved....
