  2. i got a old mate with a 4 door PNV, havent seen him around for a long time though, he was the only other person i knew off with an r30 on the coast here, he always though that the 4 door was the only PNV produced, turns out he was wrong just that the 4door he had/has? was even more rare....he posted in the old "R30" thread before the classics section was on here.....

  4. this is mine, its a cussco (spelling) and it only uses the 2 inside bolts, i think i paid $130 for it second hand.... i'd like to know if anyone has come across rear braces before??
  5. the rear set up is very different to the fronts when you look at putting coilovers in, no need to change to hubs....
  6. here you go, i forgot i made the title about the brake upgrade... the thing is is that you have to change brakes at the same time due to the calipar mounting is different from the r30 space.. lets you run bigger calipars and larger rotors, its a good thing! http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=75610
  7. yeah your right, i just went and had a look it was just the rears i got as my fronts are retractable. LOL i think i'll just get the compliance place to do it all i think.

  9. i went to a wrecker and got ones from a MR30 aus spec car for the front $10 and they were black, just make shaw you get the whole lot, the belt and the clip... the rear i have to get the bracket made up.. i took out the parcel shelf to find the old belts bolted to the strut tops????
  10. swap the strut tops over and it should be fine for the rear do a search of this forum and theres a topic on the front coilover swap..
  11. the very first line of info on the car from the forsale thread was, "over $11,000 spent on engine conversion alone (not including parts)" so i assume that means alot of time and fabracition....

Gidday, i'm about to buy a r31 gts-x with a vg30det engine and i've been trying to get info on this engine but to not luck?? anyone know the good , the bad and the general info on these engines... its a single turbo quad cam 3L V6 which came from a nissan Cima? i have specs of the engine but just want to know the things to look for and upgrades. cheers, Matt.......
  16. i called a few places here in QLD and was quoted $1500 as well but this is with the engine swap compliance as well though, one thing i have to do though is remove the coilovers before i take it there and he wanted to know how loud the car was as well, one bloke was not shaw if the side intrusion bars were needed in my year model..
  17. i'll have to go back to the HR struts so while i'm doing this i'll have a close look at the lines or even try to get some later model MR lines as mine is a 82' HR30 so maybe the 84-85 lines are different?? cheers mate......
  18. maybe the hr and dr brake lines are different.. it looks like i have to take the coilovers out for a little bit as i was specking to a bloke about compliance he said i cant have them in for compliance....
  19. mine should be being complied in the next few weeks, but i have to put the old suspension back in for compliance, doh, w2ill be done though finally....
  20. throught i'd get around to finishing this, i need info on brake lines, what ones to use as the r30 screw ends are to big to fit into the gts-t calipars, and the lines that came with the gts-t calipars were cut... any ideas as to what to look for? cheers matt.....

  22. reminds me of my car when i first got it...mines a hr30 too, i got the rsx turbo badges off ghostrider so i'll put those on... looks great and you did it yourself? nice one....
  23. can you get miss-matched set? as i'd be looking for the 18" x 9.5" +12 offset (rear) and 18" x 8.5" +20 for the front? also is black an option? can i get a price with lock nuts and deliver to Qld 4215? cheers, Matt

  25. anyone looked into seat rails for there cars to be able to fit aftermarket seats???just got a quote on recaro ones for the r31 $440 each side.... wondering if this is good or not...
