  1. i'm also after the Nismo n1 sideskirts and rear pods for my gtr. thanks for pointing out where to get some from, the ones I got on mine are the very first I think the ones that came out on the 89 GTR, the side skirts and pods are pretty much non existent and make the car on the sides and at the back look a little plain. Just one question though, in order to get the rear pods, would I need to get the rear bar as well because the picture shows the pods joining onto the rear bar? I noticed on that site they sell the rear bar diffuser and pods all together for around $500 and the pods by themselves for around $100. Just thinking which I would need. Cheers
  2. damm nice car dood especially for the price. GL with it! I've always thought after my car that most GTR's are lemons. I'm beginning to think mine is a big rotting one compared to yours! have fun
  3. I spotted 53xyn on thursday or friday after work. I followed you coming out of the Brisbane tech park. Do you work in their too? Cause I saw you coming out of their a while back but I was in a different car. i'm the one in the gunmetal grey 32 GTR. We spotted eachother awhile back at the intersection at logan road there. On saturday on the way to Gold coast I spotted another Gunmetal grey 32GTR. Didn't pay much attention cause I was in a big conversation with the missus but as I passed I noticed the guy looking at my frantically lol
  4. has anyone actually seen anyone in public doing that finger gesture? If someone did it to me, I'd be confused and ask them to explain what they mean. And yes, bad add and funny pics put up guys, wd and good work on the youtube vid. nice.
  5. I think he's refferring to the backing plates that go on the back of the pads? I got new pads the other day and they squeal like all buggery, the mechanic said he can get some in from japan that would cost about $60 or so. Which reminds me I gotta call him and find out if they've arrived yet. Cheers
  6. the engagement point on the pedal so to speak can be adjusted, so that you can have the clutch engage closer to the floor or further away. Don't ask me what to do, my mechanic did it once when I got a new clutch put in. It's very quck and easy and something in or around the clutch pedal cause he stuck his head down there and fiddled with something and it took all of a few minutes if that. cheers
  7. yeah it's a tempremental thing. I don't make a habit of riding the clutch up hills in traffic for instance but sometimes if I"m just moving off slowly it's hard to avoid the shudder unless I rev it a bit perhaps 3 grand. AFter awhile I get tired of launching too quickly but in general traffic it's fine. I think the main problem is in car parks for instance, like you said finding that sweet spot it doesn't shudder but then other times it will. Other than that I'm quite happy with it. :
  8. I have an R32 GTR and it had the exact same problem. It was making a hissing noise when you push in the clutch. I got it fixed sometime last year and it's not a big thing. I think the part cost $120 or so and was charged maybe $60 for labour? Once it was done the pedal was lighter to push down on and I guess if it's vacuum assisted you know when it's really stuffed when you have to push alot harder to get it working. I would say most mechanics in brissy can replace it fairly easy for you I got it done at a local mechanic no problems. GL
  9. sorry to bring up an old thread but I ended up getting the clutch rebuilt and it feels pretty good. Only drama or issue I have is that in 1st gear and reverse at low revs it will shudder. If I rev it to 3 grand or more and slowly release it and move off slowly it's fine. But quite often at slow speeds and low revs it will shudder quite a bit. High speeds and high revs it's great though ?
  10. It's right behind mercury, about 2 streets away off newmarket road. It's on edmonstone street, I forget the number and from memory you cant see the number of it cause it's a fair way from the road. Just remember if/when you do go there to drive on their driveway really slowly! it's got very deceitful speedbumps and I bottomed out on one cause I didn't see it
  11. nice paint work. looks good. What type of body kit do you have there? I'd like something to that effect on my GTR, I'm getting sick of my front lip plastic bit almost falling off. The rear wing doesn't look too bad I think cause it's not too over the top. Have fun with it.
  12. Like Ian said: WORST WEBSITE EVER! Just another big brother fanatic who can't get enough of watching other people.......

Nothing super impressive. Improvement though nevertheless. Standard RB26DETT except pods and exhaust, with powerfc now getting just under 220 kw at all 4 wheels. Main reason for getting it done was to sort out the engine cutting out under boost which it was doing after coming back from another workshop where it had the factory ECU tuned........ But yeah, good experience with it, the only drama was waiting a bit longer than expected for the pfc to arrive, but saying that due to their rareness etc. waiting 5 days in the end wasn't so bad.
  14. absolutely, lest we forget
  15. I know some people have good experiences with dr drift and factory ecu tuning at mercury but unfortunately I fall into possibly the few number of people who had nothing but troubles with mercury and their dr drift tuning of the factory ECU. Personally I wouldn't recommend wasting time with the factory ECU, invest in a decent aftermarket ECU, I know it's more expensive but considering the dyno time that ended up wasted for me, if I had gone the aftermarket ECU straight up i would have saved alot of money. Not bashing mercury here, I know they do good work for people but I had nothing but troubles. PM for any details if interested. Cheers

I got an apexi PFC and tune through GT auto, no complaints, very professional and answered all my questions in a friendly manner.
  17. Yeah, I'm out that way some weekends, I'm based in south brisbane but I have familiy and friends out at the switch cause I grew up near there.
  18. I was in the R32 GTR gunmetal grey with the squealy brakes
  19. Spotted Toy 033 red 33 on saturday 21st outside walkers in ipswich. I was there with a mate changing head light bulbs on my car. Did Mrtoy33 end up selling that car? looks hot still.
  20. i love wide body kits and out of others I have seen this one isn't TOO wide so I think it looks great. bit pricey though but if it is what it claims to be then yeah, collectability can add to the price there.
  21. quite possibly fuel pump. If you search the forums you will find people with similar problems to yours. If the mechanic you took it to can't figure it out after servicing it or looking over your car I would recommend you take your car somewhere else, they are either not doing their job or they simply don't care about fixing the problem. An engine cutting out is pretty dangerous and an old dying fuel pump isn't too hard to figure out if you're a mechanic.
  22. Okdokey, I'll try not to confuse you here. I'm going to assume from your picture that you either took the video card out to take the picture or you are running on board video and don't require a video card. either way you have an AGP slot there so it's pointless looking at any video card that isn't AGP. That said yes AGP is being phased out and PCI express is in. Everyone has PCI slots, don't mistake these with PCIexpress slots. Just think of PCI express as the new AGP. It simply runs higher bandwith to the motherboard etc. resulting in your computer being able to utilise a better gfx card. All that said I would recommend the following. If you are on a budget and you don't want to overhaul your system (basically buying a new computer) then go for an AGP card that has at least 256 meg memory and as stated above you would be unlucky to spend anymore than $300 for a "top of the range" AGP card anyhow seeing as they don't make top of the range ones for AGP anymore. If you have money lying around like toilet paper then get yourself a computer that has a pci express slot cause all new gfx cards that are going to come out will support that type of slot. BTW those PCI 1-5 slots you have run things such as tv tuner cards, sound cards, and ethernet cards (add on cards). If/when you do get a new gfx card, make sure you install the nvidia/ati drivers(depending on what type of card it is) and update the drivers (this can be done manually through the website or sometimes there is an icon in your taskbar that will link your internet explorer with the appropriate download page). You'll just need to download the right drivers that being usually the ones for your type of gfx card and windows operating system. PM me if you need anymore help, GFX cards are one of the easiest components to install into a computer, I"ve done it countless times. IF you live in or near brisbane I'll even do it for a beer. Cheers
  23. lol, the new kia wrx. I wonder if you can get that as a combo meal deal (ref. to kia add)
  24. speculating from the trailer it looks as though you play a russian in new york. Enter the russian mafia in a big city and I'm sure there will be a fair share of worthy and entertaining violence for all. Can't wait...
