Yeah i have an old turbo diesel pajero at the moment. but have problems towing a boat! so i need to think of what i can use! i think its actually illegal to tow with a commodore and falcon! but i havnt ruled them options as they are cheep as chips! and are good on fuel and the like. my brother can source me pretty much whatever i want when it comes to cars/etc for cheep also so what may be someones 15k will be my 8-10k..

  3. fast driving my car hits a max of about 80-85 on the oil. and around about the same on the water side of things... maybe a little bit cooler 70-80's i dont really use the turbo timer much. as i dont drive like an idiot around my hood! or around anyone i knows hood. i.e. just before i pull up into someones house. after the motor way i used to let it idle for a bit. but i notice temps rise more so i just drive off boost and normal when i exit the highway/freeway etc..
  4. My gearbox removal/conversion cost me 600 i think.. i think somewhere in there there would have been a week of hoist time too damn clutch confusion!
  5. I'm after getting myself a good cheep daily driver and tow car.. it needs to pull a gtr and trailer. i guess legally.. but i am open to anything!! I'd say around 10k or under would be about ideal! Cheers Andrew
  6. Does anyone have a manual? i cant seem to find a 34 gtr one. the r34 one i have does not cover the rb26. i bought that transmax z atf to put in the box. do i fill it up at the gearstick?? cheers! Andrew
  7. I'm still unsure on what clutch i ended up getting. caus i dont think that it ended up bieng a nissan 34gtr clutch. as i also remember having to buy a converter also. or do most os clutches need this?
  8. hmm i might try releasing the clutch a bit quicker.. will see what i come up with when i drive home. it happens when i downshift comming off the free way usually. or when i downshift going through eway lane.. but not all the time on downshift.. i must be a pretty inconsistant driver

I have a tripple plate (i think).. it is for 34gtr, with nismo imput spline if that can help anyone work out which clutch i have. now on down shift some times i hear a kind of grind noise.. it dosnt happen all the time. and is usually happening when i'm just crusing. is this normal? i figure that most clutch slipping happens on down shift.. does anyone else have this happeneing Cheers Andrew
  10. i had a gti-r motor built there. i can say the build and everything was fine! no complaints but he supplied me with non genuine seals and gaskets.. my first nightmare!! all leaked and gave me head sore as a gtir motor is a c**t in and out. if i had supplied genuine kit everything would have been good! when someone sees gti-r they think sr20. similar but coompletely different rule applies here!

  12. well i'm sure the car is going to be well thrashed at the circuit and is always going to be a gtr. its power delivery characteristics may changed. but its still a gtr.
  13. haha my front rotors have 100000 hairline cracks in them. they going to go bang soon so i gotta do something about them i have f50's on the front with some squeeky ass pads!
  14. interesting! a small single would be quiet nice really! alot of benifits to come out of that i'd love to have all the room to stick my arms in there! would the single be pushing to make the power? or it a comfortable goal for it?
  15. anti lag/launch control on the power fc for the gti-r used to kill it at the lights! people were scared! I have been lookin at the bee r one tho for the gtr. school zone limiter it will become haha
  16. I have herd nothing buy the goods about them! If my fcon is an anus i will be switching to one for sure. i was quoted under 2k i think for one installed. (i think) it was a while back.

  19. Yeah they are second hand so i beleive the lugs have been removed. and i've exchnaged one hoist for the weekend for bloody knuckles!
  20. OK! So i'm ready to change my dump pipes i have got myself a set of trust front/extension, but just the pipes only! i'm looking bolts, gaskets etc etc. what do i need to go out and buy? cheers

Now heres another getrag related question. on startup and the slow driving i do before i'm up to tempature. i often find myself in gears i did not put it it. the shift is rather difficult to find anything. i often go from 4th to 1st, 2nd to 5th and so on. i'm not sure if i have an aftermarket shifter. but its very close and tight shift anyway. is this common. or could this be caused by oil that isnt too friendly untill warm?
