  1. Check the AFM... Sounds like it needs a clean...
  2. If they're setup in parallel, that'd be EASY. Each pump would have a check valve so if it does fail, fuel isn't pumped backwards through the pump. So between the pump and one way check valve, you'd installa fuel pressure gauge. Diagnosing which pump is failing isn't hard to do.
  3. Any exhaust shop will sell a cat to suit. If you want a genuine (not required as everyone would just buy a generic one anyway) you could order one through Nissan.
  4. Joe, personally I'd buy a new one. Cats are meant to be replaced every 60000km and most second hand cats are useless. That's if you actually have to do an emmisions test.
  5. The rta sets them below the safe speed because Australians have a mentality of "ten to twenty kays over is okay, I'm not a murderer" so the rta does a calculation of actual safe speed, minus the amount people will speed by (10 to 20) and then you have the speed limit. As for that Kiana section, I used to go down that road once every 2 weeks when it was a hundred zone, I passed a speed trap everytime, each time I go through there now ( a bit less often now) Ive seen a copper once... But yes, that zone change for those abiding by the limit is ridiculous, but as above people were actually doing 110 to 120 through there. Now they do 100... As for them hiding, it's to put in your mind they may be everywhere, keep to the limit all the time, unfortunately, this isn't working as people struggle to think of the consequences, hence why they now have signs up "speedin will cost you X" they wouldn't have to do any of this, if people would learn to stick to the limits, and don't drive like a tard... Unfortunately Aussies love to speed and/or crash. Oh, and I never used to be an angel on the road, but after being done twice and let off for another, I now stick strictly to the limit... I learnt my lesson the second easiest way.
  6. As for those of you botching about police gettin people for speeding on a straight section of road with nothing unsafe about it, funny statistic but 9 out of 10 crashes on highways occurs on a straight section of road. Das Kamu, I have a good group of friends, you know what's really good about them? They're all straight shooters who don't cry poor me. To the guy who's son got defected, at that time of night hwy will be on patrol looking for individuals and they'll do check ups, I've been in numerous situations like your sons, had a friendly chat with them, and they leave, on another night I've been out, seen the same copper ask the same stuff to some dip shits they were dicks back, he proceeded to hand them their ass in defects. Think when you were younger and something got you in shit, I bet you never told your parents exactly how it went down, you modified the story slightly to suit you better... Just like your son would have done to you. Just as the p plater would have done to her parents.
  7. It's been proven, time and time again, that 98% of the time, monkey see, monkey do. Why do you think most "areas" end up with a certain attitude of people? Because as kids grow up in that environment, they see it as normal behaviour to do as others. And when they've all given up, looking after your sorry ass, and every second night your house is broken into, your mothers raped and your fathers face smashed in, who will you then turn to? What you see on those police shows is NOTHING compared to what really happens. Could you even for the life of you, imagine what it would be like, being the officer who gets called out to a house because something doesn't seem right, to open the front door, and find a person has died 2 weeks ago and has been decaying since? Just that SMELL alone will haunt you for life. Grow up Das Kamu, because you, and everyone else knows, when the shit hits the fan, you'll go crying to the coppers for help. Secondly, your comments in this thread, and the other thread, show you know NOTHING of the police force and their procedures and what you have to do to get to different sectors of the police force.
  8. And this is why 99% of police officers won't do it. Although, as you admit to "giving it a hit" he could do you for street racing the other car if they were doing the same, which is most likely what prompted his attention. (The definition of "race" is fairly broad definition in regards to our Road Rules)
  9. Nope, not one bit. Basically every person who cries "They treated me poorly" after some digging, we find out they gave the copper shit, were abusive and uncooperative. Half the time those "kids just sitting in the park minding their own business" are actually being downright rude and annoying to everyperson around them. I say let the copper do it, because if we went back 30 years ago, they'd be dragged away somewhere, told what they were doing wrong, giving a hiding, and they'd never do it again. The worst an officer can do now is "Here's a fine, have a nice day". There's no respect for authority in our society any more, because people these days in Australia believe we DESERVE everything to be perfect. Go to America, say anything even slightly smart assed and you'll know about it from the copper. What does that mean for their society? Most people WILL NOT disobey an officer. Only the minority who are too stupid to know better and deserve it. Back in Australia, a guy died because he was tasered by an officer to subdue him recently, why didn't they use spray and just apprehend him you say? Well they attempted spray, but it was still to dangerous, rather then shoot him dead, they tasered him. He died. Now if he was being just a little more reasonable, he wouldn't have been sprayed, or tasered, and he'd still be alive today, probably without even getting a fine... But you know what? The NSW Police Force is now in shit for this. Because some wanker, endangered the lives of others, got bought down with some force, and died because it... I've NEVER had a run in with coppers that was bad, including when I've been busted for things, and I've been pulled over HEAPS of times, and they're always polite to me (And yes, that includes the female officers that everyone thinks are bitches)
  10. Exactly right. Secondly, the police officers side of the story was that she drove down the street with her seatbelt off, not that she took it off in the parking station. I would nearly lay money on it, from the release the police station made, that she wasn't wearing her seatbelt whilst driving, was pulled up in the parking station, told mum and dad she was booked for doing it to get a ticket from the machine so that they would feel sorry for her and help her pay the fine. I dont think 3 points and $300 is a bad fine, think about it this way. You're driving down the street, something goes wrong and you somehow have a head on accident with another driver, not wearing their seatbelt, both cars doing 50KM/H, the person with out a seat belt is most likely going to be SERIOUSLY hurt, if not killed... Now that's going to haunt you for the rest of your life because you were in an accident that should have been minor, and because they didn't do something that "only affects them" it now gives you night mares every night for the rest of your life... What would you rather, mental problems for life, or that a different driver is fined $300 and loses 3 points and hopefully learns a lesson the easy way? And as Kinks said, it is very often all about the attitude test. Most young people these days 100% fail it!
  11. PJ yes I have been booked for it before (But yes, I was speeding and did admit to a speed that was below what I was doing, but slightly over the limit) I got booked for what I admitted to. I since know 2 people who are in the force, very rarely does a police officer pull a car over on a visual estimation alone. Reason being, most of the time, it gets thrown out in court. Your problem, the court most likely won't throw it out as you're not a grandfather driving a dead standard Camry with a 10+ year clean driving record.
  12. This one is coming out and going in the bin AKA the for sale section... I'm going something a little different to my normal setup... Which means I'm starting from scratch and binning the lot...
  13. 2B only applies when 2A is also in use, you need to read the law appropriately. 2) A person in or on a motor vehicle is exempt from wearing a seatbelt if: (a) the person is engaged in the door-to-door delivery or collection of goods, or in the collection of waste or garbage, and is required to get in or out of the vehicle, or on or off the vehicle, at frequent intervals, and (b) the vehicle is not travelling over 25 kilometres per hour. This is why you don't trust people on the internet, they don't know how to read the laws appropriately.
  14. When it goes to court, video footage will be reviewed, it will then be clear cut. If it's hit the media, and they're standing behind the fine and admitting they have video footage, then they have evidence, and it's not just hearsay. For an LAC person to make a statement, they're not afraid of any bad publicity, which means, they have evidence to prove it.
  15. If a car park or private road is open to the public for use, it is classed as public thoroughfare, aka, a road, which means, police have full power.
  16. Hey Malcolm, they've recently resurfaced the top half of the National Park, and it's nice and smooth up there, the bottom section is still the "old" road that's been down for at least the last 3 years (With a few new sections) I've never come across these "causeway" dips you mention though, only the surface starting to become uneven from subsidence. The R33 should be perfectly fine to go through there, I used to take mine through their on the old road all the time and never had an issue (And it was quite low back then!). If you scrub or scrape out, then you're probably already heading for a tree, and as this is a general casual sunday cruise, this will be very relaxed and easy on the car.
  17. Before you drop the oil... Check the oil level... My old RB25 used to make the same noise when the oil got to the "low" mark on the dipstick... Add some extra oil, no more noise...
  18. Come on Gals and Guys! Lets get some more interest! Everyone has been crying out for some more activities from SAU:NSW, so we're trying to give you them!
  19. The car itself is still Radar. Hand held = LIDAR.
  20. Unanimous vote has it... Motor comes out this Saturday using just the bolts, chain and washers. If I drop it... It's not my garage floor anyway... So long as it doesn't hit the car...
  21. I'm being very untrusting of an individual bolt... I thought of doing it... But will it really take that load?
  22. So, I had some time on the weekend, and while I was looking at the car, a few things fell out... Mainly being the front half of the tail shaft, the gearbox, my airconditioner and then some blasted Rats ran off with the wiring loom... I was going to take out the engine, but the problem being, it appears that when the RB30E was pulled from my mates old car and stripped, the brackets for putting the chain onto appears to have been left on the head, when it went to the tip... So the engine is still in the car... It's being supported by just resting on the mounts and against the firewall. OMG! Someone stole my dash and aircons! Wonder how fast I'm going? But you know what the REALLY big question is, other than what's going back in... Do I remember how it goes back together...
  23. It won't be this year, most likely there'll be one next year. There just isn't enough time this year, and we have way too much on.
  24. I offered my services to the Quicks, The Handleys and Spando if you need a pit crew member. Or a camera bitch?
  25. I won't be worried about it being on the same day personally, as long as I can get a personal TV going... While I don't follow the supertaxi's any more, it is the one day of the year that is like Christmas for me. I don't miss it for the world!
