  1. I may consider matching this but to wear white... I reckon we can get a kitty going for both sides of this fence...
  2. Just make said form disappear unless she wears white...
  3. Lizbert, Happy barfday! Have you bought yourself the RVF yet?
  4. Engine conversions are classed as a Performance Modification, this would be illegal whether it be NA or Turbo. And since the RTA will have the engine number marked as a Turbo also, it's going to cause more problems. Keep the motor standard and do suspension mods.
  5. Why so far away Steve-O! I'll drive to yours, you drive to the pub?
  6. What do you mean out the side of the sump?
  7. We just don't want you Zane... The guys can check it, and update. Get your exhaust mani fixed up?
  8. Come on guys and girls, still a couple of spots left.
  9. It was a production car. The 427 that raced at Bathurst 24Hr, was bored, stroked, ran Corvette C5 heads and was a Monaro. The HRT427 never went into full production, but the original 12 built for crash test purposes made it to Europe.
  10. Still some spots, we'll let everyone know when it's full!
  11. Agreed! Especially those who are claiming a push rod to be outdated technology... It's actually newer then OHC (And DOHC too IIRC) In regards to them, the RB30DET conversion is not that expensive. Get a decent RB30E motor, buy an RB25DE or RB25DET head. Get the water gallery welded as per the manual, and the head shaved, this would cost you around $150 just to weld and shave, or around $500 to weld, shave and service. Grab the right timing belt for about $100, grab a VRS kit for $330. Drill and tap two tensioner positions. Everything bolts together. Go get it tuned (You will want more then an RB20/25 turbo though!)
  12. SAU:NSW is currently hold a social event on the last weekend of August. We have a couple of spots left remaining, and at $60 a piece, should prove for plenty of entertainment without the risk of needing loads of petrol, or busting an engine! Check it out: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...ay-t333325.html
  13. It's a legal engine drop in, no engineer should be required. The RB25 was available in the R32, hence as VSI06 states: Examples of minor (owner certified) modifications are: * Engine changes where the capacity increase is less than 15% above the maximum size engine available for the vehicle (providing no major structural modifications are necessary and where noise and/or exhaust emission ADRs apply, all standard equipment such as carburettors, exhaust systems, exhaust gas recirculating valves, oxygen sensors and catalytic convertors relating to noise and emission control are retained and operate correctly).

  15. SAU DOES have a good public image, maybe not so with the media and joe public, but with our law enforcement officers. Ask many of the long standing members of their run ins with the police and how they've been treated when they have the SAU NSW stick on the car, and most of the time they're not hassled too badly is the story they tell.
  16. After a track day, you want to turn around and just go again. So no, 20 minutes won't cut it!
  17. Times Mark?
  18. Plazmaman have them. Work awesome. Don't know the price though. Mine came already fitted...
  19. No, you can get a floating "earth" IE, your earth can actually be at 7Volts when compared to the negative on the battery. The sensor runs on a 5 Volt different between its positive, and it's negative.
  20. Brad, is everything in the back of that suspension wise, all parallel? Or is it setup so that there will be dynamic toe and caster etc?
  21. The strange thing is though, if you watch your AFRs as you hit "R&R" the car leans out... So not really richer... From what I've seen from the consult being connected, they just dump to 5 or 8 degrees worth of timing, fuelling stays the same and it reads "leaner" as the fuel hasn't all been burnt by the time it's going out the exhaust, and hence, reads lean.
  22. You should work for Channel 9 News... There's been so far no mention of P-Plates...
  23. Safe and proper means legal. If you get the emmisions certificate done, it states that your car already meets emmisions which means a big waste of time to send you there again to be tested. After I got my eng cert I never even got any more "random pullovers"
  24. I put $20 on the fact that when you do this day, you will either: Be a pussy at it and not hang the tail much. OR f**k up that you constantly spin out, meaning you have lots to learn either way. Oh, and if you think you have nothing to learn, we'll let Rhys teach you how to use reverse...
