  1. So, like, I couldn't get the motor out, as my missus isn't strong enough, not matter how hard I yell... (I KID! ) So the motor is still in, but we started cleaning a bit more instead. This was the start (Well, it had had a bit of a clean... The white area... ) So I scrubbed a bit... And some more... Stupid spots that aren't smooth panel! They don't want to come clean! And I need to do this all over the front of the car... Both inner guards are full of oil and grease, mainly this one though from a track day issue... Some how even more stuff fell off the front though...
  2. Guys, if you're offering photos, please remember they will need to be a high res image so that we can print them off in good quality!
  3. Ha ha ha, when you rang me at like 1:30 I was like "She's not going to be well in the morning!" My mate ended up the same way as you guys did by the sounds of it... We packed it in around 3:30AM... He had to get up at 7AM to leave mine at 8AM to be at work at 10AM... I get a message at 9:58 stating "I feel like I'm going to spew" LOL
  4. OUCH! That's better effort then my destruction of the ring landings!
  5. I forgot to ask, how'd you pull up this morning? How was your blues and roots festival, and sorry for telling you midnight it closed when it shut at 2AM... It used to shut at Midnight!
  6. You commented that you avoid the pub and shiznit at TBH... You isn't cool enough to drink with The Sheldon.
  7. He's in a totally different country guys. Where people don't sue people.
  8. There are plenty of R34 GTt floating around the gong. Open your eyes up.
  9. To determine shift points, you actually need to put them on a dyno, and perform a torque run in each gear. It has often been found while it "feels" faster revvin it's nuts off, because the motor produces peak torque a 4000RMPf or example shifting early to drop back into this peak torque is often beneficial.
  10. I told you to launch it harder!
  11. Cheers Eric!
  12. Ha ha ha, yeah I had a few goes where I spun the first two times, then nailed it pretty well two times after that... I just wasn't sure, thought those times could have been someone elses... Thanks MEL!
  13. Are these fittings the same as a from an RB25DET R33 normal motor? If so, I have some I am going to remove shortly. PM me to let me know (I don't check this section much)
  14. It has started! To pull the engine out, I just need to get my mate to give me a hand one night this week as well as: Under the tail shaft, and undo the gearbox cross member. The spare motor is stripped down to a short block, I need to get some bolts to put it on the engine stand, and strip it down to nothing and send it off to be X-Rayed and machined. Then to buy some parts to bolt it all back together! Before it goes back in though, I WILL be cleaning every bit of the engine bay, and even doing some repainting. As you can see, I've already started, for anyone who's looked where my air filter normally goes, the chassis rail that runs beside it is normally black from grease and oil... I spent around an hour and a half stripping out those little clips that no longer hold anything, and deciding how I'm going to re-route a heap of cables through the guard to tidy stuff up! It's beginning! I also need to keep an eye out for a good condition front reo bar. When someone owned it before me, they appear to have had a minor bump in the front passenger side and put a minor dent in it, of which I'm not happy with! (I'm becoming a perfectionist with this car now...)
  15. Just to let you know, that bloke you mention Duncan, well I got my Candy Red cam covers back off him. They are flucking awesome! So I handed over a few other parts to him to do. Highly recommended, Will deal with again!
  16. Who ever had the timing sheets for the morning course two, was there a vehicle number written down there as "33.5"? If so, what was the quickest time on it?
  17. So, things didn't pan out how they were planned to back in July, my white beasty is still with me, and there will be no new additions to my fleet just yet. But what does this mean for my car? Well, the huge turbo is GONE. Like, completely, manifold, dump turbo, GONE. I have a new turbo sitting here (ATR43G3), which should give a super responsive setup with a very usable rev range. I also have a new forward facing plenum. Camber arms. Coilovers All to go in. But what's happening with the motor? Well it's not 100% decided yet what products are going in, but there'll be some nice little goodies going in for a budget rebuild to handle some circuit work.
  18. I hear the Dr has the times for all courses except the GTW
  19. That was the run I convinced you to really launch it!!!
  20. I don't even know where I collected that cone from! I hope I delivered it back where it was meant to go! Thanks again Dave for the drive! That car is hell fun to chuck about! Just need to sort that camber, throw some semis on and give the keys back to me at Wakie...
  21. That bloke was a wanker, he rocked up late, proceeded to tell us he'd lost stuff, then broke the trailer, like CMON! Good work though Ben... Next time, put the race car in the ute tray and bring it too...
  22. http://cravedcoatings.com/ Nuff Said
  23. When I drive it, it felt like it was strugling to put the power down at the rear when doing the 180 turns. Felt like I had the clutch in when trying to accelerate. Thanks once again for the drive!!! I love your car!!!
  24. So, I have three people that I need to thank. Firstly, Dave, thanks for the drive, that car is a load of fun! Keep the same turbo, and get rid of some rear camber as Duncan suggested and this should help plant the back of the car. Secondly, Big Thanks to Eric for letting me take his GTR for one run. Totally different kettleof fish the GTR to a GTS-t. Third, and held last because it's the biggest thanks, to Mel, for my battery triangle... Nah, actually more so for letting me abuse the living hell out of her car and just laughing the whole time I did it! I owe you big time for letting me take that out! And I'm glad everyone was having a great time, I was getting so jealous of everyone doing skids... Until a few people lent me keys at lunch time...
