More critical on smaller capacity engines..
My forward facing plenum makings are currently at the fabricators' being cut and welded. GTR plenum onto stock runners with flange for Q45 t/b on the front. Pretty much like the plenum on that 370rwkw RB20..
Give them some porn.
Or if you're more motivated, invite them in, make them a cuppa, sit them down then, procede to tear apart their beliefs in a completely rational and logical manner
I had problems with GTT rims binding on my stock 32 brakes and needed 3mm spacers, but when I put 33 brakes on the calipers were obviously a little further out from the hub and was enough to clear without spacers (albeit by approx. 1mm).
Stock coils make power fine, they are just getting a bit old and it's cheaper to replace with Splitfires or whatever. A good mate is making 540awhp with stock coils so they can't be that bad
My Rb20 box died within a couple of months of putting the 30 in and that's only making 183rwkw at the moment.. I think it was the 2nd gear clutch drops that killed it in the end!
wtf does that have to do with turbos dying?
My 25 turbo is still going strong, it spent about a year at 12psi on an RB20 and nearly another year on an RB30!
Mine was a lot further out than that! but no, still no idea why it happened and it's been fince since
lilmiss.. that's pretty fullon.. what sort of diff?
+1
My speedo cable snapped just before Xmas and it was a few weeks before I could get a new one, high speed steering in carparks sucked it a bit.. specially with button clutch and 2way lol
I appreciate his efforts as I have a working carPC but IMO it's way over the top. Albeit I'm not a programmer so could never do anything like that, but I'm a driver.
I have 33gtst brakes all round (I know the rears are the same but I did the lot so all the calipers were newer and matched) - $500 for full set of rotors/calipers. Braided lines, bendix ultimates and a master cylinder stopper. Stops pretty well and no fade or anything at the last track day.. also managed to pull me up after I decided to grab 4th on the short back straight at a local track (it's not a 4th gear straight ).
Roll Right has almost any size you want. I used to get lots of 17" tyres in 225/45 to 245/40 from them for like $75-$85ea. Got a pair of 2nd hand Continentals from there once (like $800 tyres new) in 245/40 and even when they got bald they had more traction than the LingLongs I had at one point.
Running new Federal 595SS's at the moment and they seem like a pretty nice street tyre, plenty of traction even in the wet..
Ant Scali's car? Twin T04Z's for what was it? 800awhp?
My mate has twin 2540's on a 30 and it's making 540awhp @ 1.3bar and is pretty damn responsive..
