  1. I think it's a stupid idea, just for marketing really at a time when people are more fuel conscious. All that mechanical energy is being wasted by driving the inactive pistons, its just stupid. I like the idea of having a smaller capacity turbo charged engine, and using right foot to lower consumption.... Not that that actually ever works in real life hehe
  2. Yes they are electronically controlled and use a wet multi plate clutch system. Nissan only made a relatively small number of 33's with the A-LSD, I don't think it was only available on the later model 33's though, it was on option on all the models I thought, including S1. I have driven a fairly powerful R33 with A-LSD. It was a bit weird! But it think for most purposes it would be better than a viscous LSD. Certainly not worth selling your car for though!
  3. I have an R34 that had 205rwkw with the factory SMIC. The R34 ones are supposed to be good up to around 200rwkw, but I was finding it was having bad heat soak issues when i was stuck in traffic or on hot days, causing the engine to ping pretty bad. I probably could have gotten it re-tuned to help stop this, but instead I fitted an ARC turnflow FMIC. Problem solved! I think its worth doing when you are getting close to 200rwkw's on R34's.
  4. I have one on my R34 too. Fits perfectly, doesn't hang below the front bar etc. The return pipe sits behind the cooler. On the R33 it sits under the cooler.
  5. I can vouch for the batmbl / Bos importing and Catco metal cat, they are great. I have them on my R34 GT-t 4 door. I have some Nismo cat back system, but i cant comment on the sound it makes. When i was putting on the dump pipe i snapped a bolt in the turbo, and ever since all i can hear is this huge exhaust leak sound haha.
  6. Hi I have an R34 GT-t with about 205rwkw. The car has done 90,000k's and I believe it still has the factory clutch (I got it at about 60,000k's in near stock trim). Would the factory clutch be struggling at this level of power? It doesn't really feel like its slipping a lot, but when changing gears quickly it just doesn't feel like it grabs properly for a slit second, making the car feel kinda slow? It has noticeably slipped a few times, but this is after a couple of hard launches, and then it slips when changing through the higher gears. Anyway I think it is time I upgraded the clutch, but if someone could confirm that it is definitely beyond what the stock clutch should handle it will push me to go out and get a better one sooner Also would one of the more basic Jim Berry clutches be suitable for my requirements, and where is a good place in Perth to have it installed? Thanks
  7. Pretty much every Skyline I have been in has that. I got my current R34 at about 60,000km's and it had it then, so I don't think it's anything to worry about.
  8. It does affect me.
  9. Problem is it's a Jag / Ford :laughing-smiley-014: My experiences with BMW Auto Classic have almost all been fantastic.
  10. I know, what a fcking asshole. Huge surpluses, hey let increase every tax under the sun!

Because Ferrari V8's are flat plane (Like F1) and bogan V8's are cross plane. Although the M3 is a cross plane and I guess that is not really a bogan car
  12. I love the GTR to bits, but I am surprised the VR even even came in at third. The engine is not really a showcase for new tech at all. The direct injection 3.0TT BMW engine definitely deserved to win again this year, they are amazing. The torque they have off idle is insane for a 3.0L turbo engine, and yet they can be extremely economical, and require much less servicing.
  13. I have a stock standard one if your interested
  14. It's not the intercooler, you need to stick a card in the spokes of your wheels. It makes you car sound like an awesome motorbike and you can drive around pretending your on a motorbike while picking up chicks.
  15. R34 GT-T Manual comes with a helical LSD R34 GT-T Auto comes with a viscous LSD
  16. Message has been sent... Cheers
  17. I'm very happy with my 3"/5" barrel Catco cat.
  18. Hey jetpilot, I am interested in some of these. Can you also give me the cost for front and rears on an R33 GTR with the factory Brembo calipers? Do you deliver to Perth?
  19. I can't beleive this thread is still going! I brought one these ages ago. It worked brilliantly but I only used it for about 2 weeks as I already had a Power FC boost controller on order. So if anyone wants it and they live in the Victoria Park (WA) area they can have it for $25.
  20. Nope, just the standard R34 GT-T calipers.
  21. I just want a pad that will be good for street use, with capabilities for the odd track day. I don't want them to eat my rotors, and they need to last a reasonable amount of time. Car has abouit 205rwkw's. Any other suggestions? I have just heard good reports about the Ferodo DS2000 and DS2500's.
  22. Getting no answer makes baby jesus cry
  23. I think you should just turn the traction control off and learn how to drive properly! The TCS on the R34's is really too unsophisticated to be of any use for racing purposes. It is good for when you want to let your girlfreind drive the car when its raining though. Actually it can be quite fun using it in the rain.
