Hi all, ive been having some on going issues with my AFM's on my R32 GTR for a little while now (havent had the money to fix). i pulled the top one off just to have a look if there was anything obvious. there wasnt, so i gave it a clean and threw it back on the car. now when i go to start the car it wont fire. all that hapens is it cranks but wont fire up. so im just wondering if the AFM would actually cause it to not start like this, or could there be another problem? as far as i can see, i havent left anything off when i put it back together. any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. cheers, matty.

mate i work for subaru and i can tell you there is no such thing as a non turbo wrx from factory. his mate has prolli got an RS-X. which is just an RS impreza. these had a 2.5 litre N/A engine, with interior the same as the wrx. subaru australia took 400 of these and made the limited edition RS-X, which got wrx wheels, rear muffler (twin pipe) and stickers. so basicly at a glance it looks just like a rexy without the bonnet scoop. does this help?

sandown at night sounds like fun! might be a bit much with haunted hills the next day though...

to me, an r32 gtr with no rear spoiler is like a women with awesome hips, but no tits!

at the moment im there. provided nothing else goes wrong with the car... looking forward to it, i havent seen this track up close yet.

welcome to our world. i agree with the doing the timing belt first up, but dont stop there. give it a nice major service, oil's, coolant, brake fliud, spark plugs etc... also something to bear in mind is the coil packs will be a bit long in the tooth. other than that these cars are generally fairly reliable, especially when they are stock.

yeahuh that was i. it was both fun and frustrating at the same time... it just made feel real sorry for all the boys out there in gts-t's yours was the 32 gtr with the "z1lla" plates right? just watched the youtube footage, its got really great sounding exhaust note!

was a good fun day, got one dry run in but didnt beat the 1,26.6 i got last time cars having coil pack dramas, hmm, splitfires might be the go... my last session was my worst by far! the car cut out all together while i was leaving the pits. i had to completely switch it off and then on again while it was still coasting. then of course i only had rear wheel drive... i was past by everyone! i was getting some pretty mad angles though...

i might give that a shot, i spose its better to start with a higher pressure, then i can just let air out accordingly until it feels right. might be a bit different in the wet though...

cant hurt to run octane boost, i do. if not for extra power, it will burn cleaner.

that really sucks, of all the times for it to hapen, it hapens now. just a quick question though, im just running my every day street tyres tomorrow, whats a good pressure to set them at for the day?

if you dont mind, how much were those seats, and where did you get em from? im looking for a decent seat for my thing...

gtr's have curves in all the right places, so in other words they are the ones you would rather be with. the gts-t's are like the stick figure models, not alot of meat, nothing to grab onto, not to mention the lack of muscle!
