Not Another Silly Atmo Bov Question
r32woohoo replied to nuclear_skyline's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Litte from colum a little from column b Maybe both at the same time if im up to it lol On a more serious note, do you know why it jerks? Seems like its overfueling for some reason -
CEF11E does some good work He did the tune on my car and i made 188rwkw on 1bar with more noticeable low end grunt Highflow + gtr injectors and z32 afm its tuned for 20psi but my clutch won't hold that so i haven't turned it up yet

Not Another Silly Atmo Bov Question

I'm getting this same problem, it jerks when i get back onto the gas after a gear change ie: if i rev it up and dump it into the next gear i get a nice fart and jerk before i go anywhere. Got a highflow with chipped ecu and z32 afm getting a gtr bov this arvo so maybe it might fix it -
If you can get a wiring diagram for the ecu and figure out which pin does what for that chip then it might give you some idea of what it does I've got a chipped ecu and i'd take a stab at it being used to run 2 maps Actually PM Cef11e and he might be able to tell you coz he did my tune and also knows how to run 2 maps using a switch

Standard Rb20 Boost Solenoid
r32woohoo replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Forced Induction Performance
The boost control kit should come with its own solenoid so thats probably what it means -
Standard Rb20 Boost Solenoid
r32woohoo replied to Proximity Motorsport's topic in Forced Induction Performance
I've got no idea what that thing is supposed to do but as far as i know, 32's dont have a standard solenoid. Doesn't the PFC kit come with its own solenoid? -
Its just the std gauge/sender dying i'd say My one does it to but i've got an aftermarket gauge aswell so i know theres no problems But if you're worried then yeh take it to a workshop and get them to check it with a mechanical gauge. Make sure they do it when the oil is at FULL operating temperature though, not just warm.

Is it atmo or plumb back? And is it adjustable?

Does this bolt right on no problems? RB25 turbo
-
- high flow cat for the exhaust $180-$400 depending on how high flowing you want it to be - RB25 turbo (high flow) $1500-$2000 depending on who you get to highflow it - Trust intercooler $......? - Bosch 910 Fuel pump $250 (going by what 044's and 040's are worth) - Electronic boost controller $375 for a Greddy Profec B - ECU remap $150 PM CEF11E about it or you could pay up to $1000 for a workshop to do it If you're going to be getting a highflow turbo you're going to want to get bigger injectors too And probably new coilpacks coz the std ones would probably be dying 15-16psi would be fine And yeh whatever your budget, add at least another half of it on top for other things that will come up and need replacing.

Find another tuner, no such thing as 'boost cut'

Halp! Need New Suspension Set Up
r32woohoo replied to r32woohoo's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
Put the rears in today too they sit at 330mm centre of wheel to guard on the same settings as the front The front came up 10mm n sit at 310mm now Given that ive only got 2 more grooves to go up on all the shocks, it seems the highest ride height i can get is 326mm front and 346mm rear The rear is close enough but do i need higher springs for the front? -

The top bolt is on as far as it will go I put the front shocks in today with the circlip 2 grooves down from the highest one And the car is sitting 300mm centre of wheel to guard? I haven't put the rear shocks in yet so would that make a difference in the front height? -

Heres what mine looks like assembled. You can see the gap between the strut top and spring And you can also see that the circlip is one higher then the yellow striped one. 2 clips down from the top If i go any lower then that the spring just wobbles around Ive checked the part numbers on the springs and everything matches up. If i had used the rear springs on the front shocks then they would definately be trapped because they're longer then the fronts I measured the uncompressed springs against the standard springs and the whiteline ones are about 28cm, whereas the standard ones are 39cm. -

Well I finally got around to getting my bilstein gear. Just a question when you guys installed it, When you assembled the shock and spring was the spring fully trapped? Coz when i've put mine together at the recommended height the spring can still move around freely I've already read that its ok for it to be a little loose but if i want to lower it at all then the spring doesnt even come close to the strut top -
They dont come out of the factory with an oil cooler

The wastegate actuator doesn't 'read' vacuum pressure.....it needs positive pressure so it knows when to open the wastegate Why isn't a good idea to get the pressure from the comp housing? Isn't that where it would be most accurate? no pressure drop through all the piping
