  1. Very good work! Maybe look into the R31 knuckle arm?? Do you have any available?
  2. Once I fitted it in the car, it was way too tight, could barley move! Im selling it to send more funds your way to remove outstanding debt. Its not getting replaced either. Factory seats are fine for cruising the streets. Its all this HR will be getting up to on its $600 budget.
  3. Guards have no difference to fit S1 or S2 lights. (tested it myself!)
  4. RSX 84 what ever happened to your HR30 Coupe RB20det ?? That would be at least 6 years old now eh?
  5. Can you check the condish of the MR30 Rearview mirror? (plus any vent flappy bits that may of survived?) If you look closely at the bonnet, it has cutouts for 280zx air vents, and the sump has a 'custom; oil drain for the turbo that used to be in it (this car is OLD.... lol)
  6. Its not the first time he as advertised it either! Infact, its the 3rd time Ive seen it on the net... Orig it went for 6k i think
  7. The ex glynn one or the shaggy grey one? (the purple glyn one is a track build, but not silo replica...)
  8. FAAAR out that is a decent buy there... Someone buy it so I dont have to
  9. There is a replica of it being built in Australia too, May be at a future Skyline national meet... could be a few years off yet though!
  10. Bet you anything it ends up cut in half and shipped off in a container of 10 other frontcuts to the sandpit.... Would be a great project though!
  11. My new project seems like a totally different chassis though... Non power steer and 5 speed, its a world of difference More 'fun' than 'cruise'... Might start a project thread sometime
  12. For Sales: 1x reconditioned power steering box to suit R30 Skyline Very good nic, only 3 years use. High Pressure line has been sold. Located in Canberra. Can post (is quite weighty though) Get rid of excess steering slop! Pics, can be emailed. (Cant upload here at work) Contact details: email [email protected] Price: Best Offer. Funds to go to current HR30 restoration project (has 300,000km so is a bit tired!)
  13. Steve from Across Town Windscreens is a great bloke, owner operator etc, loves imports etc. He did me a VERY good deal, http://acrosstown.com.au/
  14. Awsome stuff fellas! Sounds like Santa came for you both! Did you use the good towels to clean up???
  15. Of course I'm joking mate Was hopeing to get a rise out of Chinna lol!
  16. Im born and bred Tassie aswell (not inbred like the northern half though) Lived in the Channel district for 15 years, then Eastern Shore of Hobart for another 5... Loved the lifestyle, still visit 3 or so times a year! Boags in a bottle is good. Cascade in a can is good. END OF STORY..... In my eyes, an MR30 is a great car as a daily, occasional commuter. But if it was my bread & butter I wouldnt bet my income on it. They are old. No matter what you do, there is always something else needing attention at some point in time, Fuel economy is pretty rubbish, I used to get 12lt per 100 km on mine, and it only had 130,000km too. After I changed the ECU over to Microtech it went into the 8lt/100km on the highway. But on most occasions I still got 380 - 400 km per tank... If you managet to find a really good example, (like JohnH's) and kept it regularly serviced and fixed everything in time, then yes its a good thing. But the good examples are very few and far between... I would look at upgrading the springs to King Springs, as this would help your towing. Im pretty sure you could order in a set of std height, but 20% STIFFER. Oh and the injectors will leak, its a fact of life. If one needs doing, replace the lot as its a big pain doing it 6 times over a year.
  17. Thats harrys car when he sits his fat arse in it! lol
  18. Because an RB will always be easier to get GOOD go fast bits and make more power per dollar! Apart from engineering though... and modified tailsjhaft
  19. Might get the 1UZ on there, surely there arent that many JDM V8's out there! (unless Justin and his GT4 Celica twin turbo thing.... thats not a car really, its a road bound rocket ship)
  20. I know of a set HERE in australia, (purchased 2nd hand) The guy had them to fit in his HR31 Passage, but didnt go through with it. I could ask him if he was willing to sell them?
  21. Definitly put fotos up! Need motivations!
  22. He is off to Cambodia to work in some orphan houses so his need isnt untill late December, Sorry!
  23. I think a CA20e powered Bluebird tailshaft 'may' be a direct fit too, depending on what engine mounts you use. (or the L20b variant, cant remember) (from memory RB30e engine mounts from a VL or R31 can be used, slot the holes and youre done) Getting a modified tailshaft is pretty much the main hassle in the conversion. having it balanced right without vibrating or harmonics problems etc can be tricky!
  24. Is it regoed and on the road yet?? I always thought coilovers would start confusing the inspection officers etc?
