Just be careful with the darker than legal tints. Apart from being defectable, your insurance company can technically use this against you in the case of a claim. This is why I was careful when tinting my car. You can always call your insurance company to check if you do want to risk the darker tint, some may not care. If you're not down with the group buy and you're in Western Sydney, I've got a guy in Blacktown who did a great job on my tints at a good price, just PM me and I'm happy to pass on his details.

Good stuff - goes to show experience pays. Been seeing a lot of good results coming from CRD of late when it comes to their tuning.

They're not rumours. Read again. My dislike for Herman is based upon first hand experience. Thats based upon myself, and friends, NOT JUST things I've read on the internet. I'm a firm believer in seeing for myself, not just basing my opinions on people on things I've read. I had heard things about him, but went to him anyway, ditto with friends, and it's always turned bad. This is why I dislike him. I'm not giving him a break, he doesn't deserve it. He's more than just thoughtless. There's no need for me to share my stories here. What's the point? What's it going to prove? Herman does a great job of making a fool of himself on his own. I'm not here to "bring him down", I don't care to, he's not worth my time. Whether he has been defrauded or whatnot doesn't matter, it doesn't give him an excuse to defraud anybody else or have the half assed attitude he does. There's no need for name calling. Did I call anybody names here? No. So how about you take some of your own friendly advice and lay off. All you're going to do is make me think you've got the same dislikable attitude as our good friend Herman. Unless you want your thread closed I'd suggest you end the argument here, I have nothing further to add.

Based on first hand experience and things I've read and heard over the years, Herman deserves quite a lot of bad luck for his doings. That's not to say you do personally, so in this case, all the best recovering the vehicles.

I'd steer clear of Falken Ziex myself, there's sure to be better tyres around for those wheels. Pirelli maybe would be a better choice? Bound to be plenty of reviews around the net anyhow, but definately don't purchase a Falken Ziex tyre unless you can find some positive reviews on it, as Falken's are either really good or really bad..

Damn, I'm glad to hear you all made it out without any injury. I'm guessing the car was an AU-III Fairmont? My parents have the same car, which tyres were you using? The ones on our car are the same ones as the dealer recommended and I can vouch for them being complete crud in the wet.
