Hi There, Just got a quick question regarding R32 GTS-t's. Are the Auto diffs different to the Manual ones? If the case is they are different, what's the difference and are the Auto diffs much weaker? I would presume that they are different with different ratios, but strength wise I am unsure. I am looking at purchasing a GTS-t which is perfect however the only downfall appears to be it was originally an Auto and is now converted to Manual. Since this is the case, are there any other parts in the drivetrain that will be weaker due to it previously being an Auto? Thanks, Ryan

Well yes and no, I've seen a few nice examples around for $20-24k, and that's not thrashed ones or 89 models mind you. If you're patient, a good one WILL come up at a nice price. There's so many pro's and cons. Nothing wrong with GTSt's, I love them too, but the GTR is a whole new world...

GTR gives you more room to move though. You can get a lightly modified GTR for a good price these days anyway.

GTR Once upon a time I desired a modified GTS-t, but after driving a GT-R I won't settle for anything less...

Wait until you actually receive a court notice before you start worrying too much mate. If you're lucky, you won't get one, but take it as a lesson either way not to ever, ever risk driving whilst suspended! Hope it turns out for the better in any case.

If there's any chassis rail damage then it would most likely be a write off.

Oh the finger's pointed alright, it's as obvious as daylight who's responsible, now hopefully Charlie can get something done about it. Unfortunately he's among many people who've been bitten by the workshop which will remain unnamed, including myself. Quite dissapointing that there are still workshops like this in the community.

Not much you can do unfortunately, just one of those things. Always be careful with stop signs. Waverley council love their speed humps and stop signs, you've gotta pay lots of attention when driving around Bondi etc. Just be thankful you didn't have an accident or run anyone over. It's always tempting to fiddle with your stereo whilst driving but you've just got to tell yourself to wait until the next red light or stop, or even pull over before diverting your attention for anything that requires you to look down away from the road. I've had a couple of scares myself doing this, thankfully my new car has steering wheel controls and a stacker so I rarely have to look at my stereo when driving now. Just be more careful in future, fines are one thing but running over somebody or having a serious accident 'cause you missed a stop sign or a red light is another thing.
