  1. Looks like just some rain, nothing to get worried about.
  2. Cejay, are you organising it then, or is anyone brave enougth to assist Cejay to organise it? Considering Mic's bringing the tent, I'm bringing drinks there's not too much to do.
  3. It's being rented now as storage. I'd buy it for my classic car collection and for paintball comps :-)
  4. And my PM????
  5. Do thye have official timing?
  6. Slong (too long a story for the young ears here)
  7. $20 starting bid for the sword (how big is it?)
  8. Update on the Skyline V Supra track day. This has been sometime in the planning and it has not been the easiest thing to get going, so I’ll let you in on the current status. I’m taking holidays soon so nothing will get looked at until March now. In short this will not happen in the March/April time period I had hoped, due to supplier issues. I am still hoping to offer a track day in the future. However all is not lost as the Skyline boys are very keen on running a Dyno day at ESP in early March (see ACT Skyline forum) The reasons for the delay in running the track day are listed below: Some of the current facts: • With the increased price at Wakefield it would be unprofitable to run the day on a weekend. • It will costs approx $6000 to run a day like the one we want. • Every Friday was booked for the next 3 months, only one Monday was available in the same time period. • There is a $500 non refundable deposit on a booking. I can’t offer a fixed date without a booking. As per above • No supplier has been able to provide/confirm a total package that only costs $150 a head with between 40 and 60 entrants. • Each supplier would like to receive a prepayment of the full amount before running a day like this. I could run the day myself risking the entry fee etc, but if I did I would obviously want to receive the profits (if any) of the day (my money, my risk, my profits) But having a professional place run the day would encourage more people to attend and the idea was to give the clubs the ability to receive any profits made from the day. I’ve been offered a session for approx $165 a head but 35 cars only. All payment would have to be upfront before I could set a date. This clearly will not work, people have lives.
  9. Cejay, Do you want to invite the Supra boys, since this track day seems to be slow going to organise. Is there going to be a small donation to SAU like last time?
  10. Taken, or will tomorrow.
  11. So have I, but I've heard and experianced a lot more failing stock turbo's. And suspension you can live with, but brand new suspension is always better.
  12. Love to do it, but will be away most of February. Good on ya for offering to organise.
  13. Well for one, don't get a pure stock GTR as the turbo's are of the age that they will die. Budget for new turbo's $4000-5000 installed. The suspension will likely be a bit worn as well, another $4000-5000 installed for a full set. Tell us why you want a GTR and your plans and people here can give you a better idea what to look for. Look in the for sale section. Lots of cars for sale there.
  14. http://www.c-red.com.au/newparts/ssr/current.shtml And no I have the last set
  15. What was the general hight allowable 15cm minimum for everything under the car? I've got stock suspension and I'm already around 12 to 13cm at a couple of points. I believe there's allowance if the car came lower from factory but might be an issue f I try and get engineered with no stock suspension.
  16. Great news. Which place did the buyer see the add?
  17. Thanks everyone for the feedback, I've got to check out Towlie's wheels but unless they are something special I'm going with the SSR's Leech yes I have a Silver GTR, but black wheels, na.. the lady in charge of "bling" wanted back wheels until I showed her black wheels on silver cars, I'm now excluded from looking at black wheels. JD-33 spot on mate. Mang have you looked at the price of those wheels... I could not afford 2 of the for the price I'm getting all 4 of the SSR's Tarmac, you make perfect sense The reason for the 18"'s as explained is I have worn the side walls off the 17" 585SS Federals doing a training day at the track, so I need good tyres with less sidewll flex for a real track day. Yes I'm still keen on running a track day, but I've been slowed with supplier issues.
  18. Spotted a cute blonde girl driving a red GTS-T on the weekend and got a wave :-)
  19. Thanks for the photo's, I didn;t quite undertsand the gold inner but I'm not after gold wheels. To yesterday :-)
  20. I want to go with the larger rims with more expensive tyres for track work then cheaper tyres for daily driving (something I do a lot more of). Besides anyone can see the amount of stress I put on the 17" tyres around the track so I'm very keen on getting better performing tyres and 18"s are the best for the track currently.
  21. OK I've been looking for some decent track rims and these are the best price/performance I can currently find for under $2000 http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseU...=Silver+Painted How would you think they would look on my Silver R33 GTR? Yes Mick, I'll put FEDERAL 595 RS's on them (unless you can get the r's for me)
