  1. Looks good, I'll put it on the calender
  2. Not sarcastic at all, it really was good. Love seeing the lines others take, and the stuff ups as well :-)
  3. Spotted a nice looking R32 GTR "GTRCHIK" tonight down the parkway. Do we have a chick with a modded GTR in Canberra?
  4. Hey Zoomzoom sounds like he knows what he's talking about. We had to find someone who could put some science behind it. Just remember get the oil that is classed as a fully synthetic oil and also remember that different oils of the same rated viscosity can react differently. I remember a certain mechanic telling me the 5-40 weight oil was too light for the GTR when cold (the 5) and that was why I was having a leakage issue.
  5. Hi Alex, I'm no expert when it comes to oil but some peoples ideas on this forum (not this thread) can be totally wrong. Remembering oil is a very complex item and in terms of lubrication, there are many tradeoffs from start up lubrication to hot lubrication, and the amount of heat the oil transfers around the car. In reply to your question Alex the 10w-60 seems ok for Canberra all year round. The manual (for my car and I believe yours) says 7.5-35w oil. So a 5 or 10 weight oil when cold should be fine. The higher number (hot) can generally be as high as you want, if you are racing the 60w is when most people recommend as the oil gets very hot and as you probably know oil thins out the hotter it gets, daily driving 40 is fine as the oil never reaches really high temperatures. I've been running Shell 5-40w but I will be using the Castrol 10-60w in Summer or for any track days. I've never changed oil on an RB25 but it can't be as hard as the RB26. Just don't rev the engine to get the last bits of oil out :-)
  6. HOW! can you people say such things about our national treasure, the animal that symbolises Australia to the world. This is just horrendous I could never live with myself knowing someone would want top kill a kangaroo. Na bull**** they taste great marinated, no need for the dog to get the meat.
  7. Didn't see the date posted until now. Maybe more lead time for the next one so those of us that don't check everyday can come. Considering it's winter going somewhere is a great idea.
  8. That's a whole lot of tuning for a $1000. I expect $500-$800 for a full tune but $1000 seems a bit steep. Do you have some rare mods or extra work being done?
  9. OK... yes interested. It's a decent price for Saturday. But I doubt I'll have tyes suitable for the track by then. Delima
  10. Well I was out, where were you? 4wd in the wet so much fun. You know when the rear end starts stepping out the the GTR and then the front pulls it in line. Those Falcon P platers just don't understand and in trying to copy ended up totally losing the rear and nearly his car. It was nice to see the P plater's GF giving him what for after that :-)
  11. Yep those WRX's seem to bve taking over the week before as well. The GTR put em in their place but it was like a lion with a pack of hyena's. I'll be out this friday.
  12. Well sorry dezz I was not trying to be such a smartass as you think. I was unaware browsing nengun.com that the parts were still in Japan!. I was making a point that anyone comparing would see a cheaper price, you did not mention that there were additional massive shipping costs, neither does the site until you register. Thank you for expanding my mind. I hope I have done likewise to explain why those of us looking at prices might think that it was not a great deal. Good luck with your sale.
  13. Well the guy seems to know at least the basics. I could not point to anything that has since gone wrong that they should have picked up on. Remember every person who inspects a car is different. My choice was a local NRMA authorised fellow from the Ford dealership or driving a specalised inspector down from State Roads. I did not see any difference in inspection from previous NRMA inspections, but State Roads were able to email me the inspection etc the same day.
  14. Well it might help if we get more than one playing on our side :-)
  15. Yes They picked up the small dents in the car (now fixed) and some other nice pick ups I would have missed, however their idea of near perfect interior left a lot to be desired.
  16. I ask ages ago, still nothing.
  17. Welcome from me as well.
  18. Yep, nothing is cheap but it is a good deal and there's no chanch of the paintball people being silly with our money. We don't need any specific numbers, the day will be on regardless of how many from the forum come. Considering it is being run by a guy in IISR, I know a couple of liners might already have this invite.
  19. OK just like last time which was a great success despite the late notice, I know a fellow who works for the paintball place. A group is already organised and we are invited to join them. Here's the deal - Predator Paintball - Michelago $55 including 400 paintballs + all gear hire and lunch - $12 extra 100 rounds Or $100 including 1000 rounds + all gear hire and lunch - $10 extra 100 rounds (Basic package is normally $40 for 200 rounds with extras costing $15 per 100) Females are supplied with chest and back protection also. As long as the day goes ahead there is a $20 non-refundable amount, however you can nominate another player on the day. Payment of $55 is required to me by 15 May. (Note: all participants must be over the age of 16) Reply if you are interested in attending. I will be out Friday night or I can PM bank account details.
  20. Not surprising considering your reference to nengun shows a far cheaper price. http://www.nengun.com/rays-engineering/racing-dura-nuts
  21. The Dent king was good for fixing small dents but I'm not sure if he's in Canberra anymore.
