  1. What happened to Dave Loftus?? Didn't see his name on the entry list. I enjoyed watching the BSM car last year. Had a very similar engine set up to my 32.
  2. I'll have to let you know when the calipers turn up mate. I am told that the set up I have will fit behind Stock r34 GTR wheels so I'm hoping they fit behind the Enkie wheels. It's gonna be touch and go but I will update with some pics when I get them bolted on the car. The callipers are still being used but should be here soon. I'll also need to get some braided lines made up unless anybody knows where I can get something pre made. Actually might check that out with the PWR boys when I get the pads.
  3. The VL should be entertaining at least. Actually keen to see what happens.
  4. Couple of things I've been up to over the past week. I got the diffs done and all is good. definatly notice the front is now LSD. Will probably need to be aware of it on the track. Good though. While out testing the diffs out the clutch spun. Probably too much grip for it. So the gearbox is now out and the clutch is on it's way to Direct Clutch Services for a rebuild. hopefully have it all back togethern for our first sprint round next weekend. Also the new rotors turned up and I've dummy mounted them up to the custom hats. They are V8 supercar spec Alcons. Some pics Stock rotor beside the new rotor from PWR Dummyed up in the my wheels.
  5. Thanks. I do what I can. Would be easyier if I stopped crashing it.
  6. The Gtr-s are a 700ps kit so a little smaller than drag guys are running. For what we do up in townsville, like doing sprints on a go kart track they are probably a little too big but hopefully the will start to work when I start road tripping down south with it. But in saying that, if it lags up I just clutch kick it. They also have shocking reversion when rolling on from low rpm and played alsolute havic with the AFM but since changing over to a d-jetro the reversion doesn't effect the AFRs so it makes it less annoying. The suction kit is Greddy with HKS filters and greddy hot side piping.
  7. I sold my old falcon last week so I've got a bit of play money for tyres and brakes and was talkin to the mrs last night and she seemed half keen to tow the junker down there. Never know.
  8. I'm Going to start fitting 2 new diffs today. Link had a special on front and rear diffs so I got a Nismo 1.5 GT LSD Pro and a Nismo 1 way for the front. Big weekend in the shed. Also pulling the 4wd pump out and replacing it with one that has lower KMs and a good clean. Best I get started.
  9. Haha righto. Pull some strings for me in the tyre department and I'll do it. Otherwise I'll just pit crew for you. I'm a machine with a tyre presure guage.
  10. Hollidays are booked to come down. Doubt I'll be bringing my car down from townsville but not going to miss out on spectating as it was such a good event last year.
  11. The ones I have are +15. I have had some volk 10.5 +22 on it befor and they were an excellent fit and probably what I'll be trying to get my hands on soon to give these advan 295s a go.
  12. Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm keen to see how you went with your front LSD Beer Baron. What brand did you end up with and how you found it performance wise. Cheers Coop
  13. Yeah i like the Enkeis alot. I just wish they were 10.5s instead of only 9.5s. He's a clip a mate took of one of my 10 second passes. This was on 255 40 17" toyo r888s
  14. Well it's been a while since I posted any updates on my dunger. It's not for lack of interest rather the fact that I am truely discovering the meaning of time poor. I've been a bit steady on the build of late but have made a few changes since the last post. I bought a set of Greddy coilovers when we traveled down to superlap in may and some adjustable rear lower control arms and a hicas removal set up using s15 toe rods. So I've been playing around with wheel alignments but more recently doing some smash repair and re designed my fuel set up. So here's a couple of pics of what's been going on over the last year or so. All ready for the tarmac sprint back in june. This pic was taken on the Reid Park V8 super car track which we used part of for the rally sprint. I crashed in that event again. I got a bit carried away trying to keep up with Marlin and side swiped a cutting and backed it into some armco. But thats rallying. I dug out some parts to get me through to the end of the sprint season up here and gave it a bit of love with a 4 pound hammer and a piece of railway iron for a dolly to make it roughly the same shape as it was. I also destroyed to wheels so I aquired a set of 18 inch RPF1s. This pic is showin them fitted up and the new rear bar zip tied on. Had some sunoco race fuel given to me so we decided to chuck some in, tuned it up and went to the strip for something different. We made 436rwKW and ran a 10.71 @ 132mph with a set of r888 toyos and still with the circuit wheel alignment then broke the 3rd/4th selector fork being ham fisted. I got my panel beater mate to stitch on a new back half of an old quarter panel from an old front end wreck. I had my first go at trying to blend clear coats when I painted the new quarter. I blended it through the piller and I was really happy with my first ever attempt. This pic was straight off the gun but once I had wet rubbed it and buffed you can't even tell it's been blended. Beginners luck at it's best. Finally I've changed the fuel system around a bit with the hope of running E85 this year some time. Basicly a 40 ltr procomp baffeled fuel cell into a carter lift pump under the new plate alloy floor up to the old surge tank and then into 2 O44s. made custom tank mounts that hang from the chassis rails. Pretty much finished that off last weekend. That's it pretty much up to date for anybody interested. Our first hill climb is this weekend so pretty keen to get the year underway defending the hill climb series and also the sprint series that we won last year. I've got a Nismo diff coming and will be giving the Atessa a freshin up soon to. I installed a mechanical pressure guage into the line yesterday so I can see if it's working effeciently.
  15. This weekend was a real eye opener. I'm glad I made the drive down from Townsville to see this unfold. I really wanted to see how this all works so hopefully I can tow the GTR down next year. It really just shows the level of dedication some will go to to be competitive here. A credit to all the organsies and competitors and condolances go out to the S15 owner. It would break my heart if mine ever looked like that.
  16. All is a goer. We closed entries with 19 entries. 4 from SAU. Here's the entry list. Should be another good weekend. 17. I have decided that i do want to sell these. Looking for $3000. If you want them call me on 0401695849 and i'll start making the arrangements.
  18. Nominations clsoe for this event tomorrow. Now that Targa has finished for another year, are there any servivors that'd be keen to go again next month. We're still lookin for some more competitors to make this viable. I'm doing what i can looking for corperate sponsorship but seems everyone is still a little strapped after the GFC. We lost at least 2 entries because of it.
  19. V8 supertaxi weekend is July 9th-11th so that may work out well. And what you say makes complete sense. I don't have a lot to do with the way our club runs but hopefully if we can run this next year i'd like a bit more to do with the organisation of it. Our club does a lot of dirt events and tarmac rallying is relativly unchartered up here with only a handfull of our member's having competed at sothern events. I think we need fresh ideas from people in the know. I have a few ideas of my own for next year but i think we need to concentrate on this year to give it the best chance of happening next year. It'll be good to have a yarn to you about it over some beers I've held off being a facebook bandit so far but I'll do whatever it takes
  20. That's good news Ben. Entries close on the 4th of May so hopefully we can get the numbers in time. If we are running this too close to other events, what's your advice? When do you think we should have it? I've heard some quiet whispers of perhaps gambling with running it the weekend befor the V8 supercars. That way race fans might like to bring their race cars up and stay on for the V8s. Sort of making it a part of the V8 race week. You reckon that would work for us or be a epic fail.
  21. Here are some picks from last years event to get you all keen. Giant Russ has just put an entry in so lets see if we can get some more SAU tarmac bandits up here for a good weekends rallying. We have 15 entries as of last night but we need about 18 to break even with this event. If we cant get the numbers this time it'll put this event in danger of not running in the future so if you've ever wanted to come up to Townsville please put in an entry.
  22. If anyone would like to make me an offer to get the ball rolling I want to know what these awesome plates would be worth to GTR owners.
  23. Hi, I have in my possession these Queensland prestige plates. As stated in the title they are EVL GTR and are white with black writing. I've aquired them on a car that we've purchased with all relevent paper work. I was thinking of keeping them for my car but i already have PPQ plates on my car. As this is an Expression Of Intrest at this point, I won't post up what i'd like for them just yet but may be keen to let them go for the right price. Feel free to pm me if you like or phone or text me on 0401695849 Thanks for looking Coop
  24. Mark probably has more respect for the japanese teams than anyone else in the Aussi time attack scene in the fact that he's competed against them befor on their tracks and he knows how hard it is to get the good results at tracks like Tscuba. He has first hand experience with how competive these guys are. Just talking to him about their Japan trip you can tell how much inspiration they took away from that event. On a lighter note. I just googled Tenga Eggs from a couple of pages back......... WTF?
