Here's the diagram that came with my dry sump kit. Shows oil cooler and filter location. I've just ordered the same radiator as Giant's old 32 so i'm not going to bother with the heater in the tank. Plus i live in townsville. Also if any one else has bought a Hi octane dry sump kit can you please PM me a list of what you got in it. I didn't get a breather tank for the oil tank and was wondering if it's supposed to come with one. Cheers

Hey Russ, Finally found this thread. The 34 is looking the business. I got my roll cage finished today and the dry sump has arrived. Thanks for talking me into that. I just finished making one fit into a 180sx and hooked in with a 9 inch grinder with a cutting disk to take the bulk off. Then the 5 inch to clean it up and then a flapper wheel to make it look legit. weld up the holes or use 32 (from memory) welsh plugs. Make sure you remove the bearing shells and axel sleave first to make it easier to cut through.. The 180 i also had to recess the front of it for the sway bar but i think on a skyline it fits ok.

Just checked out their wed site. I didn't even know Morgan Park existed till just now. Looks like a Great facility and event. I wish that Townsville could get their act together and build something similer. We got the V8 super cars comming next year on a street circuit so hopefully that might spark some more intrest in motorsport up this way.

Hey any chance of selling it as just a Long motor for less dollars?? (without the turbos, manifolds, inlet plenum, throttle bodies and Accessories) I only want the head, bottom end and sump. Sorry if this sounds like a time wasting post but I would be interested. If not good luck and free bump.

Put new oil in it and try again. Some times heads will tap when they got old oil runnin through em. My old evo was a clasic for it.

just dump the oil. See if there's anything in there and go from there. If you haven't changed the oil since it came in you should do it anyway. Should be changing all the fluids.

I think it's gotta be detination. if it was bearings it would still do it at cruise. Knock a heap of boost outta it. Like back to 8 pound or whatever is stock and see if it still does it. Or take some timing out just by moving the crank angle sensor. Probably just your jap tune trying to run on our fuel and conditions. It's fairly commen. Mine came in with an IMPUL ecu in it and it was useless. Too agressivly timed for ozzy conditions.

If you have a valve sticking then it won't idle nice. Just had dramas with that on a mates 26. Does the noise happen when cruising at 3000 or only at wide open throtle??

Are you sure the rattling is not just detination. either way, if it keeps doining it you'll be rebuilding it soon enough. If it were bearings at 9 grand you'd be picking shit up off the road.

Blitz Spec R EBC For the Win mate. They are basic to use have 4 settings and are very effective. Your mods you wanna do are basicly exactly what i have in my 32 GTR and will hold boost perfectly at 1.3 bar no matter what the weather conditions. I have had the Avcr in my old Evo and was nice to look at but a tad confusing at times and swaped to the blitz. I haven't used the Greddy myself but have had mixed reports from others. But definatly Blitz Spec R FTW.

Sorry for a possibly dumb question but what will a Bosch 044 pump flow Hp wise. I need 600hp pump at least for my current application. Thanks

This my r32 GTR. It's a Townsville car and i just got new plates for it. NZM032.

We did an oil pressure test befor pulling everything apart. We put a guage into where the pressure sender goes. Took the plugs out and turned it over a few times and it didn't even put any oil up the pressure guage line that was clear plastic type stuff. Also an auto lecky mate checked the guage and sender. All working. The motor is coming out this weekend and will be checking all the bearings. Thanks for the input. Coop
