  1. OMG Uleh!! http://thecia.com.au/reviews/f/images/fat-pizza-4.jpg
  2. it's an S13 with an RB20det I'd say because there was no wheel spin thanks to the no torque..
  3. It was just a general question really. I figure jz in to BMW would work better than most. BM's come with straight 6 (slightly on a slant but none the less) intake is on the left and exhaust is on the right. so a JZ would work better than an RB. There was a series 5 E36 with a 1jz for sale on here for $19K a while back. I have no idea how much work it would have taken to fit. I'd just suggest that it would be more straight forward than other engines. say a E36 320i. has a 2L straight 6. 1jz is bound to fit having all the bits on the correct side. 320i will cost about $10K for an auto one. 1jz = $1500 R154 box - $1K?? etc etc
  4. your car is making 300rwkw on 10psi with a gt35 turbo? and can make more with better tune and more boost? or am I reading that wrong?
  5. Having said that, I almost bought a black S13 with RB20 conversion for $10K. it also had, exhaust, fmic, gtr injectors, rb25 turbo, remaped ecu, aftermarket radiator and large thermo fan, 5 stud conversion, R32 GTR wheels, R32 GTST brakes front and rear, R33 GTR seats, Tein coilovers, 17x9 mags which looked decent with lots of rubber, aftermarket clutch and flywheel etc etc.. basically, it was a registered, legit rb20 converted S13 with great list of mods for an asking price of $4K more than what your mate is thinking for his car. get me?
  6. rb20de and rb25de are great engines when used as door stops. RB20det conversion for someone who takes an auto ca18 silvia to a workshop to drive out with an RB20det and manual would need to bring about $5K with them I'd say. check NS.com for others that have done a conversion. it would be a lot cheapr if you had the equipment to do it yourself. half the cost is labour really.
  7. why you trading the stallion for a donkey? that is a beautiful car.
  8. Cheers Cabana boy.. Yeh this is my second RS. they are definitely a decent package for their time. even now really. they have a much nicer interior than the 94-97 rex.. I think at that point the rex got the proper buckets and white dials. I just miss the skyline and don't really need the 4 door anymore but it doesn't fuss me.
  9. hmmm.. S13 with a nissan engine in it.. suddenly not so interesting.. Hey Mark - what would it cost to put a 1jz in to a E36 beema? How many compliments about soutside will I have to make?
  10. Subaru Liberty RS 1991 315,000kms on the body. White Sedan Modifications: Original RS Closed Deck Block. Rebuild in 2004 (with receipts) by PerFOURmance Motorsport CP pistons Prepped stock rods with ARP rod bolts. 97 TT heads Stock Gearbox STI Clutch Aftermarket Lightened Flywheel DBA Slotted rotors Damper adjustable shocks King Springs Rear Whiteline Sway Bar MRT dump, cat, and cat back (to middle of car) middle to back 3 inch mild steel exhaust. 1999 STI rear muffler Stock VF8 turbo WAIC factory air box with 3inch intake intake resonator replacement pipe BOSCH HEC-716 coil conversion bleed valve. 13psi Jaycar Digital Fuel Adjuster (does the same thing as a SAFC) Stock wheels with good tyres. Tow bar Stock interior (currently has seat covers) BOSS steering wheel and gear knob Basic Pioneer deck Central locking, Alarm and 3pt Immobiliser. Cold Air Con New Rack. Power windows, mirror Cruise control. Everything works perfectly. Very good condition. I'm after a straight swap to for a skyline gtst. R32 or R33, 2 door or 4 door. Prefer Manual but MAY consider Auto in R33 form. Located in Brisbane If I must post a price, I'll say $12K Contact: via this thread or PM for contact details. Pics: Can take some if anyone is interested, but it looks like a stock RS Turbo Liberty only slightly lower. The motor in this car has been built tough (over $5K on the rebuild) strap a larger turbo to it and go for gold or, like I was, keep it as is and have it last for ever. My future plans for this car was a VOS chip(remap for fuel and timing and 16psi) and that is it. the STI muffler keeps volume right down yet still flows enough for the cars current power. All the work was done by the previous owner who frequently went between brisbane and coffs or further to sydney and back. over the 6 years he had it, he replaced anything that needed to be changed with an upgrade, brakes, suspension. I have many receipts for all the work done. Thanks.
  11. my loss then..
  12. that green is also not the most loved colour. if he wants it sold, he'd be looking at the type of person looking for a cheap body to do an engine conversion in to. $3K - $4K would be reasonable. SR20det and manual box fitted would be about $5K minimum. you can get an average condition sr20det manual S13 for about $10K - $12K RB conversion ones are even cheaper.
  13. stock boost would be safe. problem is your MINES ecu. It is not tuned for AUS fuels. If I was in your situation where I was now at least $6K lighter after the RB26 rebuild, I would either get a stock ECU or an aftermarket tunable ecu or even get the stock ECu remapped. the MINES one will be the reason your engine will die if it dies again.
  14. just listened through headphones. 1jz no shit!
  15. there was no mention of a forged engine. therefore, rules out all RB's except maybe an RB20 for a duration of 3 seconds. The only built engine mentioned was the 4G63 which he has said is not it. L28's like to rev (but it doesn't sound like a 6) 3s and CA18 also like to rev. that clip doesn't sound like a 6. it's defo a 4. SR20 doesn't sound like that at all. 4agze ruled out. to make it all easy, I'm going to stick with one final guess. CA18DEZ (supercharger from a 4agze or a 1g-gze) Tell me I'm right you southside loving bogan!!
  16. interested in any swaps?
  17. actually. just trying to listen to it at work. it sounds like a 4 pot. ca18 with toy yoda charger. or is it a Camry spec 3sge with 1G-GZE charger.
  18. I haven't watched it but with the clues... 9000rpm rules out: SR20 CA18 RB20 RB25 RB26 LS1 1JZ 2JZ 7MGTE 3SGTE VG/VQ VH45DE 4G63 That leaves L28 4AGE/4AGZE You already said no to 4age/ze I guess L28 You also said "a" factory charger. So I'm guessing L28 using a supercharger from a Toy Yoda
  19. Shane - do you want the thread closed?

  21. You had an RB25det turbo giveway and ruin your RB25det?
  22. so you have stock turbo at the moment? you made no mention of current turbo.. 250rwkw?
  23. are the headlights series 1 SEDAN headlights?
  24. sound deadening. remove it for full sick intake suction noise uleh!
