Make: Subaru Model: Liberty RS Turbo Milage: 323,000kms on body Colour: White Location: Brisbane RWC supplied? Yes Currently registered? Yes Price: $12K neg - reduced to $9,800 ono - NOW $9000 ono Contact: Via Thread or PM Comments / Modifications: As the title says. I am looking to sell or swap my 1991 Liberty RS Turbo sedan. I'm open to offers of any car really. I'm in need of a change (my car habbit is getting worse.. I keep swapping more frequently now) would prefer straight swap. will also take cars of less value plus cash. Details Sedan Modifications: Original RS Closed Deck Block. Rebuild in 2004 (with receipts) by PerFOURmance Motorsport CP pistons Prepped stock rods with ARP rod bolts. 97 TT heads Stock Gearbox STI Clutch Aftermarket Lightened Flywheel DBA Slotted rotors Damper adjustable shocks King Springs Adjustable Rear Whiteline Sway Bar MRT dump, cat, and cat back (to middle of car) middle back 3 inch mild steel exhaust. 1999 STI rear muffler Stock VF8 turbo WAIC factory air box with 3inch intake intake resonator replacement pipe BOSCH HEC-716 coil conversion bleed valve. 13psi Jaycar Digital Fuel Adjuster (does the same thing as a SAFC) Stock wheels with good tyres. Tow bar Stock interior (currently has seat covers) BOSS steering wheel and gear knob Basic Pioneer deck Alarm and 3pt Immobiliser. Cold Air Con New Rack. Very good condition. SWAPS from Brisbane people only please. The motor in this car has been built tough (over $6K+ on the rebuild) then never had any real pressure in to it. strap a larger turbo to it and go for gold or, like I was, keep it as is and have it last for ever. The STI muffler keeps volume right down yet still flows enough. All the work was done by the previous owner who frequently went between brisbane and coffs or further to sydney and back. over the 6 years he had it, he replaced anything that needed to be changed with an upgrade, brakes, suspension. I have many receipts for all the work done. Images:

A Question For People Who Know There Stuff

Have you considered stripping the car for parts and selling it and getting a new one with an untwistable stomache? -
Would $5,000 Buy You A R32 Now-a-days?
TTT replied to Spunky Munky's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
quote for truth. auto N/A R32 = teh gheys wif da aidz.! -
hmmm.. 89 r32 GTST = 1290kg 92 r32 GTST = 1320kg 84 AB cordia = 960kg and 110kw. that is on 7psi and no intercoolah uleh! this doesn't change the fact that they are a shit heap and the guy really has problems. I want to choke the guy as much as the next person, but his shit box does make a point.

If you were out trying to get every last poofteenth out of the car for lap times, then yes. Lightest weight body would be the best choice. but 70kg difference will not upset you that much. especially if you are out there to have some fun. not only that, the R33 would be better coming out of corners due to the fact that it has more torque. the mods you have are fine for fun track days. don't go over that 10psi. always put new brake fluid in before the track day. new oil and filter (make sure you have oil slightly over the full mark) new Pads if required. Check coolant level too. your car with those mods would be making about 160-170rwkw. R32 would require 14psi to make that sort of power with same mods. of course you wouldn't run that level of boost on the road let alone on a track where it's constantly up it.. so you "SHOULD" (everything else being equal) have a better track car than an R32. and this is from a Whale hater. if you already have the R33, stick with it. the coilovers alone will transform the car to something you have never known. coilover and those semi slicks with a bit of heat in to them, and Good Brake setup (new fluid and pads) you'll have a ball.

anyone know ROBEVO? RogerCordia wanted to run him.. For the last 6 runs for ROBEVO at Jambo, the slowest was a 9.8 LOL

Bo Bo - My car is a 91 Liberty RS Turbo ( usual details of these cars can be found here http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0098/article.html ) I can give you full details if you like. Short version is Rebuilt with forged pistons and prepped stock rods with ARP rod bolts (receipts for $5K+) by perFOURmance motorsport. (look them up) 97 Twin Turbo heads fair bit of money in suspension aftermarket coils, fuel pump. sti clutch slotted brakes etc etc Has power everything, and cruise control. it is white and looks exactly like the one in the link above but sits about 1.5inches lower. Mine is also just re-registered. stuck the sticker on on the weekend. -
89 R32 GTST = 1290kg 92 R32 GTST = 1320kg R33 GTST = 1380kg (I think) essentially, you are looking at a weight difference of 60-90kg. in return, you are getting the toughest gearbox in the nissan family. 500cc extra. extra 0.5 compression a fair bit more torque. and Larger brake discs. Suspension set up for both cars costs the same. Only thing left to make the decision is Looks. the other thing is that there are alot of series 1 R33's that are the same price or lower than most R32 gtst prices.

Youse guys should not get upset. he makes a good point. there are alot of 14 second GTST's out there thinking they are great. *no flame suit required*

Need Your Opinions And Suggestions Please

if 2 cars have same mods and making 70rwkw difference, then there is a problem with the tune or motor on the lower one. go to your mates tuner.. -
what is the use in asking quesitons when you've already been told. an $18K gtr is not going to be a reliable daily driver if you also use it as a GTR should be used.
-
your "private road tests" mean about as much as dyno results. get the 2 cars to a drag strip and get your timeslips. The mods you mentioned above for the GTiR is what was required for a 12.9 @ WSID on my mates car. I already mentoined that the GTST would probably pass it once it is able to stretch its legs. But on an official drag strip of 400m, they can't. nor will they on any retard traffic light grand prix
