  1. In Adelaide, United to a 94 octane E10 and a 100 octane E10. My understanding is the 94 octane is 91 octane unleaded + 10% ethanol, and the 100 octane is 95 or 98 octane unleaded + E10. Been around for about a year now. I used to run my BMW on their 98 octane E10 and it loved it, now that they've got the 100 out I use that. I've actually seen dyno sheets from saloon cars being tuned on Elf and the 98 E10, and they found that the 98 E10 gave them only 1 or 2 less kW over the $5+/L Elf, except that the 98 E10 was only about $1.20/L back then. Something about the ethanol content.
  2. And the rest. If there really was no evidence, he's pretty f*ckin stupid for putting out videos accepting responsibility for attacks... Habib was in Gitmo though, saying stuff like that makes you wonder why he got out...
  3. So... Oct-Nov 2001 was superseded by the original coil for the Nov 2001-Aug 2004? I smell shenanigans... Surely if AL610 was superseded by AL615, and AL615 was the original one for later cars, that AL61C would work? So weird...
  4. I don't get that either Cam. I know we have the fuel cycle etc, but really it usually equals less than $5 swing. I can't be bothered. I've not used Mobil 98 because there are no nearby servos, and I only use Shell on trips if I have to, just because there are no servos near home. I usually just use what I know. I'm sure Shell is as good as BP Ultimate, I just don't use it for convenience. That and I'm loving the 100 octane
  5. How bout that local terrorist asshole? Mumduh Habib obviously wants to get killed or deported, saying there was no evidence bin Laden was a terrorist...
  6. Black R34 on Enfield Ave this morning, looked nice and tidy.
  7. What did you get? Could have got the Akebono kit for that. Did your braided lines end up turning up and fitting?
  8. Isn't 91 octane with 10% ethanol actually that 94 rated stuff? I've almost always found a difference with fuels. Caltex/Woolworths stuff none of my cars have been as happy on, and I've always found inferior fuel economy. Shell I hardly use, however I did find on the drive from Sydney to Adelaide the tank of Shell 98 didn't give me as good economy as the BP 98. BP Ultimate has been the best fuel I've used on previous cars, better economy and generally better behaviour from the cars. The E10 blends have also been pretty good, and I've been very happy with the 100 octane E10 I've been using. Car feels snappier, economy I think is pretty good for how I drive it. As for octane boost, it definitely works, but whether you need it or not is another matter. Get the right stuff and it works great as a lead additive/substitute if you've got an older car. Whether you need it or not is another question. Ben at Northshore told me to run mine on 98 when I bought it, but said push come to shove you could run it on 95 if you had to, but it wasn't recommended. What I can't work out is why they'd bother stocking 95 in rural locations? Wouldn't they be better off with 98?
  9. This Stagea is like a bloody disease. All I wanted was a set of rear brake pads. And its gone from rear brake pads, to R32 fronts, to 'oh, that 350Z big brake set is only $1300, not much more than R32 calipers, rebuild kid, new pads and new calipers'. Dammit. Anyway, what have I done to my Stagea lately? Well my Nismo dash got posted Thursday, so hopefully it'll be here tomorrow... except that tomorrow morning I'm taking the car to AM Performance to get the exhaust done. Am also going to get Andrew to look at some of the other piping, see if he can make some more improvements... Pick it up Friday/Saturday, can't wait Then just waiting on my sway bars... Shouldn't be too long...
  10. I consider it a good 'man love' activity. Since my girlfriend has less than no interest in coming with me, and I have mates that are, why not catch up with them, and let my girlfriend go and do something I have no interest in joining in with?
  11. KD-R826BT looks perfect, except no DVD Why can't someone just do a unit like that with bluetooth?
  12. But wouldn't I need an adaptor to move the caliper to accept the bigger R33 GTR disc? Does that make R34s bolt on too?
  13. Theres a time and a place, I'll admit How many women are you expecting?
  14. Think I'll be there too Dunc, be good to finally meet you. Just don't pike
  15. I believe its "people who don't play the banjo"
  16. The washer? Yeah I read Craigs instructions in M35Stagea.info, but he said R33 rotors were 324mm, and R32 rotors were 284, so I'd need that caliper bracket I think? This is the first I'd heard of R33 GTR calipers fitting? Do they fit over standard wheels? I've still got standard 17" RS wheels.
  17. So I'll need a caliper adaptor then?
  18. True, except more mods after the remap would usually require a piggyback anyway, i.e. turbo, injectors, etc. Always was on the cards.
  19. You talking calipers? I've found R32 GTR calipers are cheaper than R33 GTSt. I didn't know R33 GTR fit? The cost of a rebuilt set of R32 GTR calipers, decent slotted discs and decent pads had me looking at v35/350z stuff, but thats just dearer again!
  20. Maybe he's talking throttle controller then, with no restriction in the ECU maybe he's thinking we should have the option of adjusting the sensitivity. Except sounds like these don't work properly? I'll put some more questions down and see what he says. I'll ask about standard map, no restriction too.
  21. Glad I found that out, was working on getting all four! Costs add up pretty quickly, not much more to get a 350Z big brake set.
  22. How much are the seal kits? I saw a set of all four on eBay for about $200, which seemed insane to me just for the seals. Hoping I might be able to pick them up from Big Fella, or a skyline owner on here upgradng (and maybe even get some second hand discs). Get your money back for the others?
  23. NF Octane Booster works well, the Black one. I used to sell this, and used it. Worked well. Also works well if you've got a leaded car, lets you run unleaded. Where are you going? I thought I might struggle getting 98 on my drive home but everyone had it!
  24. First thing I learnt in intro to law... you enter into a sale contract and thats it. He would have been pissed if you backed out. If he accepted payment thats accepting the sale contract. He can't just back out like that, but you're hardly going to take him to court over $150 worth of calipers... I didn't win those other calipers either, so I'm keen on your mates calipers Big Fella!
  25. No, more like 10.
