  1. A mate of mine was running a s300sx3 91/79 on his rb30 single cam, made 370-380kw @ 23 pound on 98. Was a bit laggy though, from memory it didnt come alive till over 4500.
  2. That was me driving in the top video, actually missed 3rd gear in that run so may have been a 12.1-12.2 if i got it right. I usually drive that red dunger R31 that was doing 11's @ 122mph last year. The R33 went to symmons plains the next day, chris managed a 65 on road tyres for his first time at the track.
  3. They were 205's, there was plenty of grip. Just needed to adjust your driving style.
  4. No suspension changes have been made to the car for the last few race meets. Only difference was the new engine this time at symmons.
  5. Grout filled. He's pushing close to 500rwkw now.
  6. GT35 with a .82, makes 200kw by roughly 3500. Just plain old 98, fairly rich at 11 flat. Takes 12 degrees up top, 7 at peak torque to keep it safe.
  7. Stock headgasket will take more than 6-7 psi. Mines holding up to 17, making over 300kw and never had the head lifted.
  8. Need a P/S pump for a 32 GTS, 20DE.
  9. The thing was useless. Wouldnt even come on boost in 5th, too big.
  10. I know theyre the same injector, but are you talking about ID2000's or standard bosch 2200cc EV14's straight out of the packet?
  11. Why do you need to get prepped? Its drag racing, you just line up and drive......
  12. You can make 300rwkw with only 5500rpm with a 30. Thats with a dirty old single cam head.
  13. Boydie has his old one sitting around somewhere, its been modded for an external gate too. Ill see what he wants for it.
  14. Hope theres cold cans in your fridge. I'll be out there tomorrow to put a few things together.
  15. My old slapper had around 220,000kms on it before the previous owner decided to throw a GT35, ecu and a few other things at it. He went easy on it, and only made 210kw to start with. This was about 7 years ago. I then purchased the car, made a few changes and retuned it. Made 255kw and had a hard time every time it was driven. I ran 12.0 @ 117 on street tyres. This was 3 years ago. Last year i slid a camshaft into it, changed valve springs, made a new dump pipe etc and retuned it again. Made 303kw, 680nm (17psi) on DD roller with mixtures fat at 11:1 to keep it alive. I ran 11.6 @ 122 in a manual 31 being fairly gentle with a 1.79 60. Now the heads never been off this engine, so the gaskets nearly 23 years old and it doesnt push a drop into the catch can. Obviously i could make more power but its at its limit of reliabilty now, and i cant be bothered fixing it at the moment. Id rather push an old rb30 thats been babied around by an old fella than a stock 25 thats had every dickhead and his boyfriend rape it.
  16. Of course the engine will cope, its all in the tune.
  17. 60 foot generally has no effect on trap speed. I ran the same mph on street tyres as i did on slicks.
  18. Stock n/a rb30 engine will handle 300rwkw all day if the tunes on the money. The heads never been off my engine and still goes strong, makes 303rwkw@17psi on 98. Only things changed inside engine are camshaft and springs. Even the stock n/a camshaft is good for 250rwkw.
  19. Timing locked will more than likely be 10 degrees.
  20. Do you ever want that valve to open? The way you have that plumbed it will always have pressure ontop of the piston.
  21. The way thats hooked up you've got 2 pressure sources so the solenoid cant bleed. Disconnect the red hose from the plenum and run port 1 to where the yellow line runs to the compressor cover. Forget about hooking port 3 to anything at this stage and see if it works.
  22. I assume you've been chatting to brad about his 25? He has 3 catch cans in series, and two of them have scavenger pumps. Thats seeing consistent 8600 and doesnt have anymore issues.
  23. Had a timing light on it? Long shot, but could be timing related.
