  1. hmm the timing should have been checked before the tune... i remapped a std manual the other day and it made just shy of 190rwkw at 15psi so there is definately an issue, if you run out of ideas feel free to drop past, i have all the re-mapping gear for most nissans, evo's and unfortunatley subaru shitters
  2. yeah i used one on cats car with no issues.
  3. plug std afm in and drop past i will check it for you.
  4. One of many..... i reckon i get 2 a fortnight coming in complaining of that issue..
  5. will give ian a bell on monday, luckily we have no front diff to worry about. In the new car i want the engine nice and low this time round and dry sumping is the only way to do it..
  6. cheers Ash i did the big "search" but yeah nothing specific, it seems all the threads gets started then it goes nice and vague prolly after pricing lines and fittings
  7. Keen to try one of these in the new project, just wanted some feedback if anyone is using one. i really wanted an alloy one but im in a hurry and finding one off the shelf seems impossible.
  8. or spend $4k on the software and dongle which is readily available ex japan Martin what is involved in becoming a pro shop? im a greddy pro shop is that an issue?
  9. i had the software and gear lined up but it seemed there was not enough demand to warrant it... $4k for the software... not cheap
  10. Yeah, the customer asked for the best result i could get a 1.1bar so i did what i could, it definately would run bigger numbers easily but he's happy
  11. Gotta love dyno dynamics "adjustment" FTW
  12. Nice turbo, just finished tuning a customers car silver SII r33 277rwkw @ 1.1bar which is bit of a suprise as it was bought from the auctions as an unknown.... turns out to be a stolen and recovered jobbie with full whiteline and bilstein handling kit, 555cc injectors, PFC (i had one laying around) and hybrid cooler... and of course a HKS GT-RS it is almost identical in response to a 8cm T67 kit i did for a customer awhile back but is a little short on top end.
  13. if you want some dyno graph to compliment the sale let me know, this is in my oppinion the best bol on kit around for rb25. is it the 8cm or 10cm housing?
  14. steel welsh, if you do decide to go metal make sure the surface finish is done corectley ie 50RA or better
  15. problem is the way those dyno's guesstimate torque, they really dont give an accurate idea... lots of wheelspin though too so i would probably a bit more up top. Nice power for an unknown owner you must have been very happy it not often you get more than you expect. Russells is pretty much accross the way and does great work especially on V8's. I've noticed average thier dyno reads a bit high compared to mine and Dyno Dynamics so i reckon R33 GTR turbos would be a good guess at whats on there.
  16. customers pockets lol but seriously the blue plug-ins (R33 and S15 $699 retail) have had bit of a resurgence lately and are so easy to fitand tune a customer can drive out for just over a grand and mod dependant im happy to use them up to 260-280rwkw.... never had a failure or an hurt engine, in fact i can match a PFC KW for KW with the humble blue up to 260-280rwkw on a R33, s13 or S15 . The craziest thing ive had to do with blue was a full budget built NA s13 SR20 (std 120000km engine) with 740cc nismos, Z32, TD06-17c and 17psi (stupid ebay gate) and the thing was quite an animal.... made me nervous as hell but the customer did all the work and accepted all responsibility for potential disaster... the thing actually sung like a champion and idled like a stocky even with injectors 3times bigger than std which as you know is supposedly no-go with the blue.. i definately prefer the ultimate but the blue is way underated... especially for its $$$$
  17. depends on what your doing with it, if your a drifter you will need to play with a few things. streeter ect should be sweet. id be more worriwed about why it has no front sway bar in s13 you need to notch the front of the std 26 sump to clear the sway bar.... on some dodgy conversions ive seen they just take the sway bar off
  18. fitted heaps with no issues. done about 10 S15's in the last 2 months, 4or 5 R34 GTT's and a few Rx8's (turboed) all with no issues....
  19. BULLSHIT if you look at many of the big name jap cars they are using T88-38GK's the new versions over the T51R.... more response. T88 ON BOARD if you get stuck i can get one over in a heartbeat.
  20. THAT IS 100% BULLSHIT.
  21. ^^ do you have the ignition adapter fitted?
  22. No ignore the post above yours, i would bet the tuner that tuned his was useless as the differrence between them setup up correctley is more that noticeable.
  23. SR20 wont fit and housing wont change over as wheels are differrent.
  24. ^^^^ f**k that, your on drugs if you think you can catch even half.... i bench tested this idea in front of a customer years back (and i even tried a greased drill bit on the 2nd runner) and it still drops enough in to worry me. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Po...-3-t217875.html
