  1. Wow that's what you got out of all that? Why does it have to be a conspiracy it's a business decision based on the best outcome for the team I've said that all along. Anyway I might d/l the race and watch it again sober cause my lap charts show that mark could have done it. Prace
  2. Jesus... Complaining, when..?? Circular as in we're going to go on and on with no consensus. With the first stop and reading up a bit more I concede he MAY have taken to much out of his tyres sitting on RG gearbox and the low drag setup wasn't helping either in the early part of the race. No mw and sv could have been fighting for the lead if they were on the same 2 stop strat. Even with marks inferior pace I think they had lotus covered. After the 1st stop he needed to do two 21 lap stints which was possible according to JA whether fast enough overall well never know really. But his low drag setup in the lotus wake meant he had trouble trying to pass RG before the first stop so to change him over to a three stop based on two bad sectors puts a lot of faith in the newer tyres getting the job done with not much to gain by risking the two stop. Anyway this is all because I was on the sauce and thought a message from seb asking his team to get another teams driver to move outta the way was to move his team mate outta the way. Btw you keep mentioning conspiracy theories not once have I said that, its just business..
  3. James Allen said himself that mark wad brought in when he wad to get vettel into clear air and mark may come into play at the end of the race, doesnt sound like thats in mw best interests. The problem with the race charts in the Pirelli era is it shows lap times as tyres are being nursed not possible lap times. Given marks second stint times; Lap 13: 1:37.913s Lap 14: 1:37.978s Lap 15: 1:37.766s Lap 16: 1:38.156s Lap 17: 1:37.754s Lap 18: 1:37.919s Lap 19: 1:37.983s Lap 20: 1:37.907s Lap 21: 1:37.878s Lap 22: 1:37.747s Lap 23: 1:37.430s Lap 24: 1:37.797s it looks like he either had more laps in them or he could have leaned on them a bit more knowing he would be in on lap 25 but this is a circular argument about a race now gone and a season that's pretty much over. rbr had to do what they did though it couldn't have gone better, can you imagine if mark and seb were fighting for the lead for 5 / 10 laps, massive chance of it coming to tears
  4. Yep reminded me of him bitching about webber "being to slow and move him outta the way" in malaysia before knifing mark in the back. And before you tell me about the evils of team orders and how we use to all hate it, i have nothing against what he did on track hell it was great racing and entertaining, just that at some stage before the race he should have given the heads up that its on and he's going for it. lol what tha... people like me?? i dont hate any driver (closest ive come is hamo in 07 /08 and i now rate him quite highly.) and cmon dying to find something to hate him for, Really. He does that all on his own I guess i dont know if 3 stops was the best call for mark or not, Neither do you as we dont have anything besides basic timing data and just what we saw and read during the race, I dont see how he lost 2.1 sec to gro before the second stop? the lap chart shows he was catching him then they called him in which is why he questioned the stop. In the 3 laps prior to marks stop MW did a 97.75 / 97.43 / 97.8 RG all low 98's so hardly lost 2.1 secs the lap times between mark and seb were pretty comparable before they pitted mark for his 1st stop no evidence of his tyres going off nor did mark jump on the radio complaining about them, His race was undermined there and then. They commited to 3 stops for mark giving the better stratagy to vet. And just for the record fundamentally nothing wrong with that, Playing the odds id back seb every time too. However if i was the team i wouldnt get on skysports and go on about how equal things are either. And your right Webber usually isnt fast or reliable enough, but i think in this race he might have been. Yep and they also said after that "your not racing webber." Why not? Vettel is doing his job on track to a tee, A role model lead driver, couldnt ask for more. he is a great driver backed by a great team and delivering like nobodys business All the stars have alligned for Him at RBR and an ERA is written in the history books. But he just comes across as a bit of a wanker. I think if the VET WEB relationship was properly managed in 2010 and the correct hard decisions made back then all this bullshit could have been avoided.
  5. Ummm pretty sure this is not a perfect example of why he gets boo'd , many factors and behaviours are responsible radio messages just one. Anyhow the rbr pr machines probably on it now as there was a distinct lack of finger waving when he got out pf the car. i made that comment assuming he was talking a bout webz he may not have been (this time). Btw Perez being backmarker or not big deal that's what blue flags historically its never been easier to pass backmarkers. I get people are saying it was up to web to pass on his fresher tyres but watching teds notebook after the race the lap times didn't really show his tyres had gone off that much to need his second stop so early on. So his tyres may not have been as fresh relative to gro and seb to give the best adv to get the moves done. To me it seemed more like pit web to cover of gro and hand seb the lead.
  6. Double post
  7. VET; even with new tyres keep him away from me.. No wonder you get boo'd
  8. Gotta say GUT is rubbish to young and out of his league
  9. Was wondering when and how they'd switch the bulls
  10. + vet not as quick and running wide w/o traction control.
  11. Go romain!!! Fark Lewis barely touched seb. Egg shell Pirelli's
  12. Yep as above track = no thermostat . road = thermostat. Dan_J be careful cause in my experiance water comes up to temp a whole lot faster than oil.
  13. Ok plenty of talk about handbrake entries as a technique, It is not. Its a great way for a beginner/firstimer to get a car sideways and learn to catch the slide and generally familiarize themselves with getting sideways and not spinning out. Its like training wheels on a bike. Mid corner (pre apex) or closing up on the lead car is about the only place its really needed. And the standard properly working line and shoes is fine save the money for some new bushes ir something
  14. so your suggesting use hydro handbrake because everyone uses them?? And no such thing ad no maintenance. street drifters.? Huh.
  15. Roughly # heat cycles (days or sessions)
  16. To me, items delivered promptly and are as described. Would gladly trade again with this club member again. cheers Andrew.
  17. Coming along nicely love checking in and seeing the progress every week. Seriously though buy another one to drive and wrap this one up to neat to ruin.
  18. Well it's official dan is rbr #2 good on him bring on 2014 qualy battles
  19. I think points finish results from a team like torro Rosso need to to taken with a grain of salt as there are so many factors influencing results, both have had good and bad showings however it seems that Dan has more overall pace and the big team with all the data seems to have come to the same conclusion as they are considering him and not jev for the role of "sebs bitch / constructor points gatherer." Kimi will get the drive however as from a marketing point of view that makes the most sense and redbull are the definition of marketing. Having said that rbr may not be the best thing for Dan anyway he will go there and cone of second best to seb and become a career number 2. I'd much rather see him get out of the red bull program and go to lotus.
  20. Standard with decent shoes at most change lever/handle, hydro is a bit of wank looks "racey" but really not needed.
  21. Interested in this enjoyed the last charity cruise up mac pass and on to the pie shop, are the pizzas at the same place?
  22. Why you would want all that work and Weight of getting a 10inch rim under their and then go and whack a 225 tyre on it is beyond me, Is it for looks? I find I'm always chasing more grip and less weight especially unsprung this just seems the opposite. To the OP you may take a hit on selling the rims that don't fit but its your best outcome for moving this car on, and that size rim should sell pretty easily sorry dude posted this at the same time as you. If he's got his heart set on them maybe sell them and buy same wheels in a different offset.
  23. Every time I've checked ethanol content at dee why it's been in the 70's
  24. Do you guys check the content before filling up? Roselle always seems on the money or just above but dee why fluctuates as low as 70.
