Would really like to come to this, Bringing a new life into this world is emotional and stressful enough as it is, This story is heartbreaking and would love to show support and donate as its truly a worthy cause, But will this be going ahead if its terrible weather on the day. -
Interesting. Have you drawn your designs or just see how you go? I guess it will need some sort of fail safe, if your really depending on it to supplement braking into a corner and it doesn't activate, we'll you know. I think it's inherent design should be on/open (as in activated for braking) so if it fails it slows you down rather than doing nothing. Now having said all that are you sure that the time and money involved isn't better spent on say tyres suspension and brakes.?? Plenty of really fast cars get by without these. Also these can be bought of the shelf. Good luck

Would be pretty cool to take my new gtr out to something like this, but for some reason I picture it being a nightmare of a traffic jam. Have these events run smoothly in the past? 10 buck VIP entry doesn't sound very VIP to me.?

Best Way To Fit Mspec Skirts To R33

Or just mask up the area immediately above the skirt then peel and Stanley knife the painters tape once done.. So much less mess and faffing about. -

Lenso Wheels And Brembos
PRO_32 replied to whizzn's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I recently bought dogbones and 324mm rotors on r32 sumitumo calipers. And the lenso 17x10+18 and the calipers are just touching the barrel of the rim so zero clearance so an inch bigger diameter wheel should give you plenty of clearance. Assuming the sumitumo is similar in size to the brembo.. The lenso d1r seems to be really crap for caliper clearance worse by far compared to all my other rims. -
Well not much has changed, busy time of year and track only car = neglect. So Nissan only sell the AAC whole as the T is pressed into it they wanted 650 or some such. So called SSS for second handy for 50 bux cleaned it up and replaced it so AAC clean and no vacuum leaks. Got consult cable and demo version of conzult with some limited functionality. The Cts seems to be working as the temp goes up idle for 15 20 mins and it went upto about 80 degrees C no faults logged either except for fuel temp sensor ( I didn't even know it had one of those)?? So still at a bit of a stale mate?? Spoke to unigroup (who tuned it) and he reckons it could be the z32 ECU running the 25 that might be spazzing out..??? He's booked out till mid jan so if I figure it out by then great, if not he can cause I'm over it..
-
Ok do I'm waiting for my consult cable to arrive, do I thought I would clean the AAC valve in the mean time this lead me to discover that the factory T piece that goes into the AAC was deformed and barely "seated" for want of a better word, I'm sure this would have caused a vacuum leak although vacuum at idle was a. Healthy 17 to 18.. Sooooo is this just a coincidence or could this affect warm start??? ( time to find out if Nissan sell the T piece on its own or am I going to be raped and have to buy An AAC valve whole)
-
Oh btw 500 600 would buy you a whole rb20 head
-
Yes but how often would you be changing studs?? And you could be asking for trouble trying to block that hole one you don't have the head sitting on a bench do its awkward and tight working on it anyway and if bits of whatever your trying to seal the hole with breaks of its going to end up in your oil..
-
I agree that would be pretty fckn shitty workmanship if someone has done that. Assuming you havent already, I would clean that whole are degreaser/ petrol, gerni whatever just to get rid Of whatever oil is there on the head and block.. Then run Motor and check for the source, but if it is A hole into an oil galley then theoretically you could use a thread sealant But it would have to have a Pretty high temp rating..
-
That would be awesome should hopefully give a pretty definitive result. Through a bit of searcing on here i gather 20/26 are the same but cant find much on 25, Kinda fits to as my 20 CTS is Yellow and my 25 one is brown/reddish. Edit; I had a look on interwebs for a random z32 VIN couldnt find one,

Quick Q have you ever tried unplugging the sensor and seeing what the ECU defaults to? I've heard 0, 40 and 80 degrees ? just trying to get my head around why it goes from not starting at all to strating 1st crank like a brand new car. Or does having this unplugged trigger some closed loop map??? so much to learn, I hate not understanding shit..

Some Kimi Ad kidnapped to sign contract.

The more I think about it, it seems more logical that a sensor be paired with an ECU rather than a motor.??? But I'm a nuts and bolts kinda guy and hate wiring and electrical. So I could be totally off but the reason for this line of thinking is I do not know if all sensors pickup temperature at a linear rate in relation to another.. Ie; is 3v on an rb25 sensor the same temp as 3v on a z32 sensor?? I think I need some sort of ECU diag software via consult ??
-
Just a quick one for the brains trust, Having troubleswith the CTS on an RB25 might by a faulty sensor or Hot starts were not dealt with whilst car got tuned remains to be seen (however unpluging the sensor and the car starts first cank every time hot or cold) so im going to replace the sensor anyway just to rule it out, My question is the motor is an RB25 however the ECU is a Z32 NIStune soooo which sensor??? or are they all the same?? cheers Andrew

I dont mind them as long as they penalise the constructor(who is responsible for the reliability anyway), and leave the driver be.

After towing my car to Wakefield and back to syd in a ve commo the auto box has started to make all kinds of weird noises on cold startup,it generally was not up to the task and i have decided not going to tow with it again.. So have been checking this thread a bit and have noticed no one really has or recommends vans? I was thinking a newish vw transporter.? There seems to be a lot of advantages a van could offer as far as space goes.. And theyre comfortable and roomy enough upfront on longer distances.. So I guess I'm wondering would it pull the two , two and a half ton confidently??

Pretty sure the rules say you are entitled to the racing line if your on it after the braking zone, and that's why Lewis placed his car there he had every rite too good "robust" defending pasta should have backed out of it as he would have if there was sand or turf or a barrier there.
-
How can I get sky in aid?? There must be a way.??
