Well the jury is in. To convert to solids I have to use the Tomei conversion kit. More bloody dollars...More bloody delays GRRRRRRR.

Price was most definitely a concern strik. There is no way i could have bought a gtr for more than double what i paid for the st. I wouldnt buy a 32 simply because I am not a fan of the shape. Even the 34 reminds of an updated 32 in many respects. It had to be a 33 or nothing. Take the buy price of a 33 gtr and then start modding and you need a far fatter budget than anything i could dream of. The other reason is simple. I love rwd cars. Obviously there are benefits to awd but a well sorted rwd can hold its own in drag and sprint situs. As i have said before, i am not wealthy, Just a workin man like most on here. the update wont be ready for some time owing to lack of funds to complete it. It can only happen as I can afford it. It will be worth waiting for tho.

I still think he can find mid 12's if would cook the shit out of his tyres. Too soft on the burnouts. I doubt there is much left in the chair tho. Its launching really well but the 60 foot times and the terminal speed tells me its at its limit and simply needs more grunt to improve both.

Can anybody tell me whats involved in converting the 25 hydraulic valvetrain to the 26 setup' Is it simply a matter of 26 lifters and shims or is there more involved?

It wont happen overnight sub. If i had stuck to the original plan of basic mods like a hiflow, injectors etc It would be going now but this has become a major project. Just going to have to do it bit by bit as the wallet allows. Breaking it down in to stages seems to be the best approach. Next step is the valvetrain. Looking to convert to solid lifter setup atm to open the cam selection wider. Once we have decided on cams the head is ready to reassemble and refit. The only change to the bottom end will be an upgrade oil pump and sump baffling. Then its on to the bolt ons. I already have some but still in need of a turbo, gate, bov, himount etc etc. All it takes is money.

That thing looks so menacing. Cant wait to see it in action. GL to you and your brother Russ.
