  14. I think you need to listen more and talk less bud. I am currently building an rb25 with the works. Major head work, cams, Forged, blueprinted, cryoed and balanced bottom end, fuel delivery system inc, plenum q45, dual feed rail, surge setup, 700 injectors . Himount, ext gate, etc etc etc. I am not bragging here, just trying to let you know that my homework has led me to believe that a 35/40 may even be too laggy for this setup. I had the pleasure of driving a well sorted stage 3 slide hiflow setup with the minimum mods required to extract maximum efficiency and let me tell you, If i werent going drag racing that outfit would suit me to a tee. the low/midrange pull on a standard engine is bloody awesome and will have no probs taking care of any street action you are likely to encounter.

  21. Dont let the kays deter you on this thing folks. I did 750 thousand on my last one and 440 thou on the one before. both were still going strong when I sold them. I already have near 150 thou up o my 03. These things are farkin bomproof and are simply one of the best tow vehicles your money can buy. GL with the sale bloke.
  22. Its a pity Nissan never persevered withy the 25/26 engine. They have the technology to make these engines compliant to todays stringent standards. My Nissan patrol has a 4.8 litre twin cam quad valve six that gives awesome performance through the whole range by virtue of "Variable length intake manifold" Dont ask me precisely how it works but the effect is self explanatory. The engine lost 5 kw this year to meet the new emission standards but still has a claimed 185 kws. It wasnt that long ago holden were bragging about those figures from their clubsport v8s. By all accounts the head for this engine was pretty much copied straight from an rb26 so it shouldnt have ben too difficult to get the rb series to comply. As an aside I lightly modded the patrol to get better fuel economy. 22/24 litres per 100 kay was too hard to live with so I fitted a beaudesert hi flow exhaust and extractors and a piggy back computer. Went from 185 kws to 225 and the economy improved markedly. It also dusts 6 cylinder n/a commys and falcons too.

  24. He was learning and stock as a rock dude. We did get him going a bit quicker toward the end but he has a ways to go yet. there was another noob there too with enough fat to run 11s (Jun stroker full forge 35/40 etc etc) he was only cracking high 13s to low 14s as well. Strip work in a line aint easy at first. Give them time.
