as said by stabby. I am in the middle of doing an engine build on mine at the moment. It would be possible to do it in the car but you would need a 2 post hoist and an engine suspension bar to hold the donk up. Alot of rooting around for not alot of gain. I personally have looked into an N1 pump, but have decided to give an aussie brand a go by using Spool's Billet oil pump gearset in an existing housing. We will see how it goes. Cheers, Allan

Best Clutch For The Job
33GTRV replied to GH05T's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
NPC or raceclutch(jim berry) i have been through quiet a few clutches in my time and there are only a handful i would ever use and recomend, those being Nismo super coppermix twin, Jim Berry's, NPC's and i have had good experiences with Project Mu super singles in lower powered cars. For your application i would go the JB or NPC. If calling jim, have a six pack handy, man likes to know everything before he commits to anything and definately knows his shizznit on the clutch front. Cheers, Allan -
Hey grant, i have a 3.5 inch xforce one here. With no cat its loud and very in your face. Welcome to pm me further about it and it came of an r33 gtr Cheers, Allan

Report From My Wheel Alignment..
33GTRV replied to SargeRX8's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
was this done at a bob jane or beaurepaires store? What you have recieved in this wheel alignment is commonly known as a Toe and Go. They simply adjust the toe, make sure the steering wheel is straight and then punt it back out the door. Take it to a professional who knows the cars. If yuo look up on the beissbarth site they usually give you the ideal factory suspension values for your car, its a good place to start. -

Front pipes sold pending payment. Cheers Beezle Cheers, Allan -
oil selection depends on alot of things. Service intervals, driving style, conditions, use of the vehicle, how often its driven ect ect. As a general starting point, almost all GTR's i know of including mine are serviced at 5000km intervals, oil and filter. If you use this as your daily drive, this may be a very expensive option for you so some people use a different oil with a longer service life and increase thier intervals to 7500kms. As for branding, stick with what is known. Mobil, Motul, Shell and virtually any of the big name brands are all good. I personally recommend a viscosity rating of 10w40 or when im racing i use Mobil1 0w40 supersyn gold, although its definately not what you would call cheap, its good insurance. Like BWR has said, the oils thread is also a great source of info and experiences so happy hunting Cheers, Allan

i would imagine so mate, they are a pretty generic sorta thing, came off with hks dumps that were the same spot as factory dumps. They may be on hold anyway, just taking a few snaps for a prospective buyer. Ill keep you posted mate Cheers, Allan -
ghetto, no. Im a TQ mech but i have been out of the game for a while. I am also very particular about who touches my car now, hence the reason im rebuilding it. Poor worksmanship and general dodginess is rife in the industry at the moment, so i have learnt, the hard way. Though not all workshops are like this, it places an image oner mechanics that is hard to shake and unfortunately after someone has been bitten they tend to tarnish all with the same brush Cheers, Allan

Hi al, i was hitting lake monduran pretty hard over the last few weeks and the only advice i can give you is to not go. It is very poor fishing there at the moment do to the massive increase in water volume and the amount of fish lost over the dam wall. Id save your pennies and go looking for a charter this time of year to get you out onto the reef as its superb fishing at the moment Cheers, Allan

Is it worth me making a build thread for my car? about to go a spool rb28, arp throughout T78 equipped 33 gtr. Still undecided on the oil pump though lol. For reference, nothing but abuse is what this thing is gonna get, and it'll be a backyarder

Monday bumps :-) -
average fuel economy, if not well looked after will shit it in quick but very torquey. Gearbox and diff ratios mean you are rowing the thing everywhere though if its a manual. Pretty poor interior assembly and beware the fuel pump. other than that, not a bad little ute for cheap

hey mate, i got a pair kicking around from a set of standard turbo's. Those pics are of the engine block end of the drain pipe. Shoot me a pm if you want them and we can discuss it further mate Cheers, Allan

they mean "Good luck selling these plates a a grossly overinflated price" maybe if it said BENTLEY you could ask 10g, but i dare say you are gonna have to drop the price a little to move them in this current economic climate

More fun from the last few nights fishing. Got probably 30 more pics of Rat Barra and small Jacks. Had a ball, no moon out so it was tough to get them to get going, but once we got them enticed it was insane fishing. Getting bashed up on 40lb braid every 3rd bait, nearly got spooled by something, pulled the split rings off my bomber trying to stop it lol

Mechanic Or Spray Painter Apprenticeship
33GTRV replied to tanto's topic in General Automotive Discussion
if you can live on a poor salary and evjoy getting flogged every day of the week, try a mechinics apprenticeship. Been there, done that, not something i enjoyed. I drive cranes and am a heights and rigging specialist nowadays, much better pay and much better work, although it can be quiet physical at times. -
