  2. if the price of a new crank scares you, i have a mint condish 33 gtr crank with 68 thousand k's on it for sale. Anyway, loots to be a great build and all the best with it
  3. Also, did the rods come with L19's? I have just gone through this.
  4. yeah, im very grateful they are going to have a look at it. I would have been in a bit of strife if they werent going to have a look! Not alot to report on, just ordered a new balancer today, got a ross metal jacket. Trying to organise some time off so i can get chris from audio express to come up and get some alarm stuff done(in between sinking bulk piss and the possibility of fishing).
  5. stroke that shizz, its so cheap to do nowadays. Look at the spool stuff or look into a nitto, id love a nitto but i went the spool to try the aussie sold one. Cost was also a major factor and the customer support i got from brad was superb when compared to the businesses selling the nitto products
  6. Im considering trying to source thier super sports dash. It is litterally secks. Like miranda kerr and katy perry lesbian secks.........so secks

  13. Called up jacobsen today, very helpful. They were a little hesitant to pick up someone elses work but they have agreed to look at it so its a start. Thanks for the steer in the right direction.
  14. accurate enngine in gladstone.. i might have to look into it. thanks guys
  15. So....just hit a MAJOR snag. I was called by the machine shop and told to come and pick up my cylinder head. It was a pretty rude and abrupt phone call so i was worried, and with good reason. I got there and he went out the back, brought it all back in, in boxes and said "Our machinist has quit, we dont know where he was up to, he hasnt given us an installed height and we wont be completing this job, you owe us 585 dollars, pay it now or we will withold all of your items." I was not too impressed, so i have a head, half complete, half assed and nobody in this part of the world wants to go near it. I am pretty shattered. Anyone know anyone with a half decent turnaround time that would take on the job? It looks like it needs to have the installed hieght matched, needs reassembling(springs, retainers, stem seals, shims and buckets) and needs the cam clearances set. I'd do this but i dont have the equiptment to top the valves and do the height, and the shop usually assembles it as part of the deal anyway. Any help is appreciated Cheers, Allan
  16. so went out last night, not even a look at a bait or lure. After doing some digging i found out that the government let the pro's net the barra further upstream than they normally do, and let them net them out of season.......for research purposes? Bullshit. Bastards should have never come that far up the river to the spawning point
  17. ok. To release the pull mech on the gtr box, undo the slave from the side of the box and remove the rubber boot from over the fork. Then gently apply pressure to the fork and look into the hole, in there you will see the input shaft going through the bearing and into the clutch. If you get a flat bladed screwdriver, you can slip it under the small lip on the bearing, then rotate the screwdriver and it should release. It looks difficult, and it may take you 2 or so goes at it, but once you get the nack its cake to do
  18. you can get thr reimax gears, but the customer support isnt there. And as i have shown, the spool ones measure up spot on, are easy to install and for what its worth, not a bad investment. Ill have this anchor on the road in a few months so ill be able to thrash the shit out of it and let you know how i go
  19. Look into the spool gearsets. its not science to install them
  20. fknlol I dropped a beauty last night at the river, didnt even get a look at it, took me for a ride and near on spooled me on 50lb braid. It took a 6 inch long or so live mullet, felt like a barra, went like a barra but yeah, never got a look. I was cranky after that and left lol. Going back tomorow night with some serious gear as the moon phases are primo at the moment up here. Hoping for a few metre plus fish in this session, i had a few massive hits so i know they are there
  21. Casually reads the tutorials/faq/diy section and see's an oil pump solution.......
  22. i did round the.port.divider slightly kungpiw. i only ported the exhaust side after some online research revealed to me that the intake port design of these cylinder heads is actually quiet good. all i did was smooth out some imperfections and blend some small areas. for those interested, i weighed the two cranks and the standard crank come up at 20.21kg versus the stroker crank at 24.41kg
  23. just do what handbrake did, turbocharge a patrol
  24. Got a nice set of wheels? Love your pride and joy? Dont want some window licking fcuktard to steal it? Easy solution! Call Chris Rogers, Get the job done and dont be a tightarse. The guy is from what i can tell, an absolute legend and really knows his schnizzit. Alarms and immobilisers are there to keep the honest ones away, so think outside the box and incorporate other sneaky means to securing your pride and joy, im sure chris can make some subtle suggestions to you if you are a commited customer
  25. Well, i got the crank in, bearings all guaged up, and come up primo crank run out is spot on and the crank is straight as Measured at #4 main journal it was 0.005mm very happy with that result. The finish of the crankshaft is also good, i went over it with a fine tooth comb and couldnt fault it, bar the one niggling little thing, the oil pump drive. Its not machined into the crankshaft, its a collar on this crankshaft, but i can live with that. Also got out the scales and weighed the rods and dressed pistons, all which came up to within half a gram of each other so im also pleased about that. Now im off to dig out my internals and measure the conrod bush to pin clearances and the big end clearances If all comes up to within spec its time to clean and assemble the bottom end! Pictures will follow tomorrow morning when i wake up and get over the incoming hang over lol
