  1. Yep keep them at zero and leave it at that. Mine are set to zero aswell.
  2. What for? There is an engine bay picture thread on here and you also have google images at your disposal. Is there something in particular you are wanting to see? I don't get the point of your question.
  3. Hahaha yeah i'm kind of the same, legality wise that boat has sailed a long time ago for my car lol.
  4. Ok so a few people (including myself) have been wondering how you can prove that aftermarket braided brake lines are legal for street use in Australia and whether the kits come with some sort of certification. Well after a bit of research there is a bunch of technical requirements and testing that they have to go through to get ADR approval, however the main proof for some one inspecting the brake lines is a boot with coding inserted onto each brake line to prove it has met all the requirements and makes them legal for street use. Here is what the boot will look like on our brake lines to prove they are street legal. Therefore there is nothing to worry about. If any one has technical questions about this that I can not answer just give Hel in Australia a call.
  5. I emailed them yesterday to see how they are coming along so just waiting on a reply. There might be a small delay because of the dust storm in Europe, i'm not sure so i'll see what they say. I'll post up a bit later on today regarding the proof that the brake lines are ADR approved and put some pictures up to see how you can tell, I looked into it and it's a fairly simple thing.
  6. Out of curiousity, why are you so against buying a RWD car (not just talking about a GTST, but in general). Considering you own the worst power/weight ratio skyline available, it's not like you are having problems with the limitations of putting big power down in a RWD so the AWD advantage isn't something you know and it also can't be because you are used to the benefits that an AWD can bring as the R33 GTS4 isn't anything special in this deperatment either. So yeah just want to know your reasoning as I'm curious why you are so against a RWD coming from what you own.
  7. The Blitz one hands down. Larger core and overall will be better quality. All the things you listed are marginal given the two kits and nothing you would ever notice on a normal/mild setup. I'm assuming you have a stock turbo? Also a heads up, intercooler is one word.
  8. Very well said. Only two options for you if you are sticking with a turbo skyline, anything else is a dumb idea. 1. Buy a GTST and get over the fact it aint AWD 2. Buy a GTR and get over the fact you want to do this on a budget because it aint going to happen
  9. Thats what I would like to know
  10. Aren't they exactly the same as any other bleed type boost controller?
  11. Ok first thing you gotta ask yourself, does it make much more power on much more boost. If the answer is no, you know you have a problem. You said you changed the exhaust twice, as in the catback? That usually aint going to do shit as the exhaust restriction is usually due to a collapsing cat. What "high flow" cat is in there? What does the power graph look like? What are the turbo specs? What ECU? Also if it was tuned a while ago and made that power on 15psi, what did the tuner say? Why did he leave it like that and give it back to you. Need more info man.
  12. So your asking what is better, a cat or no cat? Obviously performance wise no cat is better, legality wise you have to run a cat so there is your answer. Want to be legal, run a cat.
  13. Is that a GTST with a GTR front conversion?
  14. That must be a VERY stripped out R33 GTST
  15. So i've been trying to get more information on this after seeing it on GTR Blog but can't. Does any one know what is the go with it, is it going to be like an online series or something on Foxtel or what?
  16. Why don't you test drive both and find out. "Fun" wise the S15 is definetely more chuckable due to its light nature. The SR drives a lot differently to the RB25 and feels more aggressive in the midrange when it comes on power compared to the smoothness from the RB. Honestly drive both and see for your self. If your keeping the car relitively stock for street duties, go the S15.
  17. Well its going to be baby steps for the next 20 hours im afriad lol. As we said, once you hit about 20-30 hours it gets very good.
  18. "Nice wheels. Whatcha running under there?" ........ "You're gonna make me find out the hard way? You're brave! You're brave. They call me Hector. Got a last name too, but I can't pronounce it. "
  19. It's the fact it's a Nismo edition and there was only a limited number of them made (regardless what is actually different about them). Makes them more of a collectable item in the long run. And it wasn't just the things I listed, there were heaps of things different about them since Nismo made so many options available. Here's another one for sale: http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36451 In 50 years time I know which one would be worth more.
  20. As far as the launch control goes, it's just a basic antilag type setup. I have a similar thing setup on my car through the Microtech. Foot flat, induces a missfire, builds maximum boost and limits the rpm to what you set it at. Problem is unless you have extremely grippy tyres, in a RWD it just instantly lights them up (in my case I used to do it while cruising at 60kmh and it would nearly kill me trying to hold it straight). Was fun though. I just stopped using it because I was to worried about killing the turbo, breaking an oil pump or frying my clutch.
  21. All depends on where your boost gauge was getting its reading from, if it is at the correct source of the plenum, then no it wouldn't be.
  22. No news yet, but it is only the start of the week. I'll give them an email tomorrow to see how it's all coming along and where we are at.
  23. Havn't asked yet on group buy pricing for the clutch line, will find out once this group buy is done.
