  1. My old thread from the wasteland: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Wo...l&hl=garage
  2. Yeah as Ash has said. Just remount it with some custom aluminium brackets or something. You can move the entire thing to the front behind the headlights and re run the lines or just move it to the side of the strut tower.
  3. Don't forget that watching a dyno run speedo is a lot different to actually accelerating to that speed out on the road with wind resistance etc
  4. Best all out performance car I've driven (braking, handling, power, comfort etc) is my old mans blown 370rwkw CV8 Monaro with huge HSV Premium brakes on it. The car is an absolute animal and stops on a dime. Best handling car i've driven is my mates 370Z, was extremely impressed with the handling of it. Best thing I have sat in is a Ferrari 599 in Sydney. Sitting in something worth more than our house was definetely an experience. Hoping to do a Supercar drive day in Brisbane for my birthday next year so will finally get to drive some Ferrari's and Lambo's to see what all the fuss is about
  5. Lol none of the above. The compressor wheel is nylon, same as the series II R33 turbo. The exhaust wheel is ceramic on all of them.
  6. Just to make sure I understand it. Vacuum line that goes from plenum to BOV has a T-piece in it. From this T-piece a vacuum line goes into the cabin and boost tee is connected to it. The other side of the boost tee is blocked up. So in this theory when the boost Tee is closed, the BOV operates normally. The part I don't understand is when the boost tee is open, it is creating a boost leak. Am I missing something?
  7. Just have a look on K&N's on Rocket's website and view all the filter listings there. They show every size available, shouldn't be too hard to find something. I used to order them in to customers requirements depending on length, inlet size, diameter etc.
  8. Not really. No one would give you more money for the car just because of it.
  9. Fair enough man. And no I would have not made the comment if you said you made it as I would not have wanted to offend your work, but since you said it was off ebay, hence I made the comment as I didn't think it mattered. All good.
  10. Fair enough. I'm guessing you have a quite exhaust therefore can hear so many sounds because above the exhaust the only time I hear road noise is with the back seats removed.
  11. Ahhh nice, lucky many having both cars, good balance between the two. My old man is looking at getting a black E92 335i later this year but I still like the E46 3 series, the facelift on the 04's is nice
  12. I'm having a hard time understanding your method as I do not see how that would work for what he wants.
  13. Seen them anywhere from $1500-$2500 depending on condition. But you can get copies for a lot cheaper, i've been eyeing these off: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Brand-New-Skyline-G...=item1e5b871431
  14. Lol no need to get pissed off about it, just said it looks terrible. It's not like you made it and im saying your work is shit. Whether it made 500HP is irrelevant, you can do that on the stock plenum (for reference the Plazmaman one is rated at 1000HP worth of flow, in other words its "horsepower flow" is irrelavant.) Its just a stock plenum that has been cut up and made into a foward facing plenum (as many people do) but he has changed the centre of it completely, however do you think it has been created to flow well and R&D put into it to flow as evenly as possible like a Plazmaman or Greddy one would? Just saying. It may flow well, it may not, hence my "questionable" comment.
  15. No offence but that looks hideous and it's ability to flow well would be questionable.
  16. I see the threads are now combined
  17. For noise it won't do shit. I never used to have one, than got one for free so shoved it on. Why are you getting rattles in the boot? You mean because of a sub?
  18. Agreed, go the GTST seats and hell, because im such a nice guy, i'll swap you mine for yours
  19. Agreed, they have to be seen in real life, look so much better than in photos.
  20. Lol. Sure, why not.
  21. Yeah the injectors aren't a problem. Honestly I don't find it a problem to work on anything with the plenum. The only thing which is a bit annoying is doing the oil filter but you get used to it or just buy a relocation kit. However mine is probably a bit more annoying than most because I have briaded fuel lines everywhere and the taking the filter out snags on them all and they aren't easy to move around like the factory rubber ones.
  22. Cheers man. Turned out pretty good for a first effort. They are quite good at concealing a bunch of things
  23. Lol pretty much the same topic being discussed underneath this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ni...tr-t317915.html
  24. I think I have found a flaw in your idea. Now correct my if I am wrong, but if you installed something that disengaged the vacuum line to the BOV, wouldn't that in essence allow the bov to leak open under boost as there is no pressure on the other side holding it in place?
  25. To easy man, not a problem. I actually contacted the Australian distributors, but their prices for a group buy were no where near this price so I didn't bother.
