  1. And i thought i liked porn a lot, you must take it to a whole new level!
  2. I'm still amazed by BMW's N54, twin turbo, 3L, 6cyl that makes peak torque of 400Nm at 1200rpm in standard form! That is very impressive in any ones books.
  3. An aftermarket fibreglass/carbon fibre bonnet is mainly illegal because you are replacing a main crumble zone of the vehicle. Since your car was factory crash tested with it's factory bonnet, having an aftermarket brittle carbon/fibreglass bonnet on it changes everything in the event of a crash. Manufacturers rather cars be crashed head on, hence why cars are usually built to understeer. You have a higher chance of surviving a crash front on as there is more of the cars body to absorb the impact and distribute the energy. Obviously there are a lot of exotic cars with carbon bonnets, however they have been crash tested with them and built accordingly.
  4. Yep use Pay Pal and you won't have dramas, that's what it is there for.
  5. You should probably think before you type such rubbish. - R34 Z-Tune Side Skirts (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL - R33 Door Cards (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL - R34 Front Splitter (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL - R33 Duck Wing (Carbon Fibre) - NOT ILLEGAL The front guards might be an issue but are no more of an issue than people putting fibreglass gaurds on a skyline.
  6. You guys should consider yourselves lucky to be getting so many km's out of a tank
  7. I'm drinking at the moment, but later on ill try to type and explain my hypothesis with this throttle body thing lol. EDIT: I'll put it in another thread, i don't want to hog up Nick's thread
  8. Yeah it's crazy how close they make them to looking like the real thing. Atleast if they made them cost 1/10 of the price people would consider buying them. But if they are only 20-30% cheaper, what's the point.
  9. Surely just a boost difference before and after the throttle isn't an indication of whether a throttle body will give gains throughout the rev range It may not be a restriction at those power levels, however it doesn't mean that no more performance can be gained. If you upgrade the size of the throttle and pipework to suit it can allow more airflow at the same boost pressure does it not? Airflow (Q) = Velocity (V) x Cross sectional Area (A) An increase in the cross sectional area at the same velocity means an increase in airflow (CFM). So why would it not make more power, regardless whether it's a "restriction" or not? I'm an Engineering student so if i am wrong please explain why as i am curious about this whole throttle upgrade. Here's the Autosalon article i was talking about earlier.
  10. Yeah i've noticed how hard they are getting to tell apart. Me and my mate were looking at seats on ebay quite regularly recently and the amount of "cheap genuine Brides" is becoming a bit suspicious. Especially when they are all from Taiwan..... eg: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TWO-BRIDE-ERGO-II-A...%3A1%7C294%3A50 eg: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TWO-BRIDE-CUGA-raci...%3A1%7C294%3A50
  11. Power steering fluid is pretty much all the same, just a basic hydraulic fluid. Only certain vehicles require special fluid, our's our fine. Mix away buddy.
  12. Yeah i agree with ya. Did you see the Autosalon article from ages ago where all they did was a Hypertune throttle upgrade? They left the same sized pipework, just used a silicone reducer and gained 10-15kw through out the rev range and that was on a stock turbo at it's limits. That's decent gains in my books.
  13. Nick, with the larger throttle and cooler piping did you notice a decrease in response at all? Or does it still feel as responsive as it did? Can't wait to see how you go with the water-meth and nitrous
  14. Nope it was a factory option. Easy way to tell, turn your key onto ignition, do you have an ABS light at the top left of your dash? In your engine bay your ABS is in the top right behind the strut tower with lots of hard lines going across your firewall to the other side. Check those two things and you will know if you have ABS.
  15. Yeah i know, it's not the best setup for getting power down, but hell, gotta compromise some where Aslong as i can keep power down throughout second gear (which some times gets hard), ill be happy. Gonna probably get a second set of whiteline camber adjusters for the rear, or just put a set up adjustable arms in to try to get it to zero degrees in the back. Cheers though Gary, havn't seen you on the forums for a while
  16. What kind of power are you pushing? Mine comes on very hard in the midrange so unless i run semi's or put stock shocks and raise the car a bit in the back, i don't think i'll ever get 1st gear to hold under full throttle on the street.
  17. Nope, you can either use an adaptor plate which isn't sold new anymore. Or you have to modify the hell out of it. There is a thread in the Forced Induction section about it. It aint a small job.
  18. At the end of the day, the stock plenum will be fine. With a forward facing plenum you will gain a bit more response and a bit more power through out the rev range (depending on plenum of course). It tidies up the engine bay something fierce as the stock plenum setup is a very ugly piece of gear. I did the plenum very early on and it was probably one of the best mods i ever did. Your call though.
  19. Good tyres, 255/35 is a good start or some semi slicks. Subframe bushes set for maximum squat. Get the rear camber as close to 0 degrees as you can. Rear suspension to be nice and soft. See how you go with that and go from there. I have a similar setup but 1st gear is still a joke. Going to try and get the rear camber as close to 0 as i can. It's about -1 at the moment.
  20. God another one of these threads. It doesn't matter if you rip the turbo out. The car's VIN plate says it is a turbo vehicle, it doesn't matter if you convert the whole car to a non turbo, you will still get fined.
  21. Damn that's getting pretty cheap... What's wrong with it
  22. Looks similar to the Just Jap item.
  23. Yep, there's your problem.
