  1. Chaps, Have just sold my car, and have no need for this anymore. Comes with brand new genuine Nissan gasket purchased from JustJap. It is 3" to suit standard Nissan fitment turbo. Well used, but no holes. Scrapes here and there though. Could do with a lick of black paint. $100 Pickup Seaforth, Sydney. Cheers, Shaz
  2. I might come along in a mates Stagea and film? Unless someone else is already going to be covering it? Cheers, Shaz
  3. Spotted a 250RS in Silver in Neutral Bay on Friday. Asian chap driving. Gave the wave, but I don't think he saw me. Was in my R34.

Yeah, doesn't seem like it would be a massive issue. I'm guessing it doesn't go into "limp mode" or anything when it does that?

Yeah right. So you're basically tricking the ECU into not registering an applied brake pedal, bypassing the factory system. Makes sense. Is there a way to do it so it isn't constantly throwing the CEL? Other than a switch hooked to power one end, and the brake wire the other? Cheers, Shaz

Ahh okay, that makes sense. Good little DIY job to do. I've also read that the throttle control leaves a bit to be desired, and that there are a few kits out there to rectify this? Any in particular you blokes find better then the others?

Thanks for the quick reply mate. Yeah, I read to budget in a new turbo. I've also read that the Shift Kit that Jetwreck does on here is also a MUST mod, due to the wet paper bag gearbox. I've got a highflow cat at home already, so I'm sure I can locate a DP and Exhaust and fit it up. When you say banjo bolt, I'm guessing you're referring to a turbo oil feed/drain of some sort? I like the fact they throw up a pic of the underside of the car. The exhaust seems to have a bit of rust on it, but nothing major. Cheers, Shaz

109 pages later, I have finally caught up! Hey guys, I've recently sold my R34, and am looking at purchasing an M35 Axis Autech from Northshore Prestige in the next few days. From what I've read, most people HIGHLY recommend them, and even my own personal experience thus far has been great with them. Is there anything I should be looking out for? The car in question is this one. http://www.northshoreprestige.com.au/view.php/used_cars/2002_Nissan_Stagea_AXIS_AUTECH_Pearl_White_5_Speed_Automatic_Wagon/6084626/ Thanks in advance for y our help guys, will definitely be more frequent in here once I have purchased!

  11. Hi mate, I have a guy coming this Saturday morning to have a look, and if he doesn't buy it, then I have another guy coming on Sunday, and if he doesn't buy it, then yes, it will still be available. Cheers, Shaz
  12. Spotted StageIan(?) I think yesterday. Red C34 with black bar? I was pulling into the servo next to beacon hill maccas. Gave you the big wave out the window. Was in my black 34 GTT. I think you saw me? Cheers, Shaz

  14. Hey guys, made another quick video with the leftover footage from the Subyclub.com cruise. Again, feedback welcomed!
  15. Hey guys, I've decided to put my Skyline up for sale, as it no longer suits what I need it to do. Commuting to work in traffic everyday, that takes about 45mins for a 10km drive is killing me by having a manual, and all of my film gear simply will no longer fit in the car. I have owned the car for almost a year now, and haven't really done much to it since owning it, other then replacing some stuff that was on its way out. The car is relatively stock as you will see from the mods list below, and is only driven to and from work about 10kms each day (Seaforth to Neutral Bay). It has never been tracked, driven hard, and as a Bank Manager, I'm not some young bloke who is just going to thrash it around. I am the second owner of the car in Australia, and it has a genuine 79,000kms, as evidenced by the lack of wear and tear on the vehicle. I have a PPSR register search showing that the car is NOT a write off, and it does not have any finance owing on the car. The car is garaged everyday, and rarely driven on weekends. It is really only used as a daily to work, as we have our i30 for a runaround car. The car is washed weekly, and taken to get a professional detail once a month. It it serviced every 5000kms by myself, using genuine Nissan parts, and high quality oils. It has been nothing but reliable for me, and would suit someone who is looking for a nice example of a car that hasn't been modified extensively. It is currently insured with JustCar for $17,000. Details: 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T 5MT in Black. Work CR-Kai wheels 17x8 +35 in Gold/Bronze Brand New Blitz ZZ-R coilovers AAR Drivers side bucket seat (Reclinable, and very comfortable) HKS Turbo Timer Weathershields 3" CatBack Exhaust (I can include a 3" dump pipe with sale, and Magnaflow highflow cat (Brand new) R34 GTR FMIC (Not installed yet) Clarion CZ702A Bluetooh/Ipod head unit. Pics: Price - $15,000.00 I am also open to trades, for some kind of auto wagon, as I need the room of a wagon, and the convenience of an auto. Shoot me a PM on here, or you can email me at showusyourtints @ gmail dot com, or call me on zero four zero one two zero two five zero nine. Obviously, working as a Bank Manager, I can also assist with finance if needed. Car is located on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, and can be viewed in the afternoons after 5:30pm, or anytime on weekends. If there is anything in particular you would like pics of, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will organise them within 12 hours. Unfortunately, these are the only photos I have access too at the moment, but will take some betters ones as time permits. Cheers, Shaz
  16. The family trust isn't a bad idea, however, they can be very long, and costly to setup. A simple executed contract as such, that is legally binding, with the correct wording around medical issues, marital breakdowns, etc. would generally suffice. I am no lawyer though, so I would definitely advise to seek professional legal advice in regards to this. I'm mainly going off what I've seen my clients do before, and they seem to think it works well. The childrens will won't really be of much help, as the asset is in the parents name. Certainly reviewing your will, and adding a clause around settlement figures should the worst happen, and the breakdown percentage wise as to how much share of the asset each child has would help. Cheers, Shazza
  17. Chaps. Heres a vid I made on the weekend of the Subaru club I'm apart of. Feedback welcomed! Cheers, Shaz
  18. Made a quick video of the Skyline. Couple of things I've noticed. - I need a new tripod. The one I have doesnt have a fluid head movement, and the shakes show up in the video quite a bit. - Lighting was rubbish. Too many shadows, causing an inconsistent medium across the whole video. - Its very boring with no action shots, simply because I can't drive and film at the same time. Lol. This was more of a test video just to try out new settings and whatnot, so feedback is very much welcomed. Especially if it is how to improve.
  19. Hi Martin, It seems like you have a fairly solid game plan there. Investment properties can be an awesome way of increasing wealth, so long as you plan ahead. One of the first things to consider, is if you are going to go interest only (IO) or principal and interest (P&I). If you're going for investment, I would recommend Interest Only. The reason behind this, is that the interest you are charged per year, can have a rather advantageous tax deduction against your taxable income. I would definitely recommend speaking to your account, and running through some figures to see if it is financially viable. It can differentiate quite a bit between individuals, but generally, it works quite well. The second thing to consider is that you are going to have 4 of you on the loan, and the title. In terms of legal documentation, a fully executed contract stating that all parties have an equal 1/4 share will generally suffice. From the bank point of view, you are all jointly and severally liable for the full debt, regardless of if you setup the loan with 4 seperate loan accounts, all with an equal share. The bank will want to understand your 5-10 year plan as well, so make sure you have a good think of what you want this property to do within the next 5 years. Using the equity to fund the deposit of a second property is easy enough, and you can do what is called "Cross-Collateralisation" which uses both properties as security, against the total loan amount. As someone mentioned earlier, generally try to save a 20% deposit for the property you are after. I realise that if you're looking at a $500k property, that means you need $100k deposit, but it does make it better off in the long run. Any LVR (Loan to Value Ration) above 80% will incur LMI (Lenders Mortgage Insurance) costs, on a tiered basis ranging from 80.01% to 95%. The cost can vary, but I have seen it anywhere between $1500, and $15,000. The other thing to consider at the moment, is fixed rates. I've seen them at about 4.84% for 2 years fixed, which will give you stability for the first few years at least. You will know exactly what you need to pay, and it won't change for that period. The other thing you could do is split the loan, half variable, half fixed. This works well if you want stability, but also want to have the ability to make additional repayments. You would definitely attach an offset account to the variable portion of the loan, and get a salary to go there. Any money in your offset account, caluclated daily, you don't pay interest on the mortgage. It also gives you free access to the cash, and its not tied up, and its saving you money. I work as a Branch Manager at one of the big 4, so if you wanna run some figures past me mate, I'm more then happy to help. Cheers, Shaz
  20. Spotted a grey or dark blue 35 GTR this morning going up spit hill. Can't remember the plates. I was very much asleep still.
  21. Made a rig on the weekend. Works pretty awesome. Still need to buy some hockey stick grip to wrap the outside in though. Its super stable when walking though, which was the main thing, and you can lower it down nice and low using the handles. Now I just need to buy a follow focus, the cam ranger, and attach it all. $39.94 in parts from Bunnings. WIN!
  22. Spotted a red r33 today with a black boot spoiler and 34gtr wheels. Was having a bit of fun in the wet.
  23. Spotted a white 34 4 door parked in Crows Nest carpark. ATH05A I think the plate was.
  24. Oh, and the above was filmed using a Canon 18-200mm lens.
