  5. yes, hope hope it's something basic. otherwise hope hope it's still covered under warranty. i've still got the receipt from the mechanic. anyone know what the warranty is on splitfires, someone please say 12 months?
  6. yes i am guessing so probably shouldn't assume but the car makes excatly the same noise as when my OEM coils had died. last week it started stuttering/shaking at idle. now at 4000rpm onwards it pops to the bs took it to my other local mechanic and he had a quick check of the plugs/sensors/af meter couldn't find anything obviously wrong plugs were replaced same time as splitfires installed don't have an a/f ratio gauge series 1
  7. standard ecu mods - zorst, FMIC, pod only mod i added since splitfires was manual boost controller set to 10psi, 200rwkw and i don't thrash my car, only done 5000km since coils changed to the splitfires
  8. my splitfires died after only 8 months . i just hope the workshop that installed them will replace them under warranty, guess i'll find out tomorrow when i speak to them

  15. i drive more cautiously since owning a modifed car, because my car sticks out like a sore thumb the last 20 cars i've seen doing burnouts/donuts/being hoons on public roads have all been comodores. the fact that they're targeting modified vehicles is a joke
  16. i agree with rukus a drunk driver is far more dangerous than a street racer, but both are incredibly dangerous a drunk driver can have blurred vision, the inablitiy to change gears properly, be overconfident, meander between lanes and into oncoming traffic, be inatentive/fall asleep at the wheel, have lowered inhibitions/not care if you hit something, greaten the chance for road rage, barf on the cd deck etc. once 8 years ago after having 3 drinks in an hour, i got behind the wheel, drove 50 metres down the road and said to myself 'nup, f#$ck this sketchy sh*t, i'm catching a cab home'. and that was only after 3 drinks and i felt a bit dizzy. alot of the DUI'S you read about in the paper are people with a lot a greater blood alcohol reading than what i would've had. a street racer will most likely be pumped full of adrenaline, therefore more aware than and would have faster reaction times as opposed to a drunk person ( i have never street raced and don't ever intend to or condone it). i'm not defending street racers, and by no means saying it's safe under any circumstances. maybe they should as punishment have to do community service. be made to do something constructive for the community as opposed to the government destroying their property leaving them in debt, leading them to sign up for welfare, costing the taxpayer more money. all i'm saying is i believe i would be for more likely to cause an accident if i was drunk and don't get me started about the rich f*ckers in their bmw's and merc's on their mobile phones end rant
