  1. Question - how much is it to enter the "I have NO Class Sh1tbox Class?"
  2. Thanks fellas, this is my first cruise and first time organising one with ya guys so thanks for the support up front. Ok, so I guess things are looking pretty bright. I use to be on OzHonda a couple of months back so I guess I got a fairly descent idea of how cruises work. Ok, I will organise something. If I get 6+ cars I'll be happy as just want this to be a good friendly thing doesn't have to be big stuff. He's what I had in mind fellas (just a rough sketch now but will of course put up maps, routes and program etc soon)... We meet somewhere near Western suburbs as going to Geelong and further would probably be a good idea. There's this large Bunnings carpark in Sunshine, 8 minutes drive from Highpoint shopping centre... perhaps we can all meet there... then we cruise up to Lorne via Great Ocean Road - stop there for some pictures, catch up a bit, enjoy the breeze then we go to Lorne for lunch then... rest a bit then cruise back to Lygon street for dinner... that's just a rough idea and of course I am open to further suggestions from you fellas. Thanks again.
  3. I kinda understand why you did it, but don't know how you did it. I mean, it's your ego that kicked in (fellas, come on, we all have egos) but how the hell did you manage to drift right into the lap of the cops? Having said that, fark it, it's done, history, the past, gone and dusted... take it up the arse like all others before you. I used to drive a 300 ZX around 5 years ago - was dragging (ironically a Skyline) up Footscray Road in VIC - we travelled at around 160 km/h - next thing you know it, I bet him by like 3 cars and bang, straight into the fence of some school-like shelter thing; my girlfriend at the time was cut in numerous spots, I was injured badly and the car was a totaly write-off - lost my license for 3 years due to reckless driving, possibly endangering lives and because I lost my points etc... so yeah, I'm now like 26 and I'm on my P's again... come on, does this suck or what? Do the crime, pay the time! Simple. But hey, it's a lesson, learn from it.
  4. Thanks fellas, many good and informative suggestions. Knowing my brother (kinda like me) he'll get attached to his ride and then he'll want to keep it and make it better etc. So if he does want to turbo his R33 GTS in a couple of years - how much (including labour etc) do you think an exercise would cost? I told him to expect around $10k for the package from A - Z, sound right? I mean, I see your point, spend another $5k and get a new turbo one - but again, he's all mouchey and stuff.... LOL Again, many thanks fellas - you've been a great help! Hope to meet you all one day!
  5. Hey Fellas, I'm fairly new to this forum - love it to bits though. I've met a few really cool friends from here already. Anyways, was proposing a Skyline cruise to Lorne via the Great Ocean Road in around 3 week's time. Was wondering if anyone is interested. If I can get some names, I will definitely organise this and make it grand. More details will follow if I get enough names. Cheers,
  6. post up some videos if you got some. would good to watch.
  7. Thanks guys, yeah - I guess there are a series 1.5 running around. Kinda funny but true. Well, I got a full bodykit on mine so I guess, can't really say it's a series 1 or 2 anymore. Thanks all again. good luck.
  8. Thanks mate, but I live in VIC and was just after an informal heads-up really. thanks
  9. Hey fellas, Before I start, please note that this is not a stupid NA versus Turbo thread. My brother is getting his P's in a couple of weeks (well, hopefully he'll pass etc.), and he, like me thousands of others, totally loves Skylines, so he has decided to invest his savings on a NA Skyline. I loves the R33 most so he might get that one. Anyways, was just wondering if he goes NA now and then decides 3-5 years down the trek that he then wants to turbo his NA, would how would the performance, durability, reliability and mechanics of this be? I have had mixed views on the above; some say, the NA-spec Skyline was built as a NA and when you turbo it, it will not respond as well as stock turbo(ed) Skyline. Some say it's fine. Some testimonies from people that have turbo(ed) their Skylines would be much appreciated as my brother will definitely be turobing his Skyline when he is off his P's. Thanks all,
  10. Hey fellas, Just went on a cruise with a few Skyline owners last month. Noticed something really funny. I own a 1996 R33 GST-T. Now, there were 4 cars that came (funny enough all R33's) - one was a R33 series 1, another a R33 series 2, another a R33 series 2 and myself... well, I don't know what the hell I am. I got series 2 headlights, series 2 interior, steering wheel, carpets, series 2 shape BUT I got series 1 dash, only 1 drivers airbag? What's going on, my friend reckons mine is a so-called series 1.5 - basically Nissan released the series 1 in 1995, than late 1995 - early 1996 apparently they released an improved version of the R33 series 1 hence I think mine is a cross-between a series 1 & 2. It's amazing out my friends series 1, my series "1.5" and my other friend's series 2 differs. Anyone seen similiar? Now, just to make it slightly more squarzy... I drive my friend's series 1 and it actually handles slightly different than my car. I jacked up our cars, and I think my vehicle has slightly better stock suspension? What the hell? Some specs of all three would be lovely fellas. Regards,
  11. Ok guys, I want to test this out for myself. Here's the rundown, I own a R33 GTS-T with a bag of mods; frontmounted incooler, haltec ecu, bosch fuelpump, 3 inch HKS exahust, HKS FC, HKS booster controller, forged pistons just to name a few. Anyways, a got mate that owns a R32 GST-T, another mate owns a Honda Integra type-R and another mate who owns a Toyota Soarer. Anyways, we decided to test this out. A mate of mine has family up in rural Vic, down the road from where he lives is a very straight piece of road. We took turns, lining our cars up last weekend. My R33 left all of the above for dead. As per request, I had to put this discussion to rest. Lined up my mates R32, killed him on third gear. The R33 has more topend power and is lethal on 3rd gear. It foolish (unless heavily and I mean heavily modified) that anyone can say a R32 is faster on the fly than a R33. No chance. A lot of R32 owners loves their rides and will argue until the dawn that R32's are just as fast. No chance in hell. However, the R32 does indeed have slightly better handling, especially on corners PLUS I like the R32 as when you drive it, you feel more compact, and you make turns more swiftly. At the end of the day, all Skylines are great. I've really had enough of this VERSUS bullshit. All Skylines are great!!
  12. Cheers bro, may thanks, apprecite really do. well, just an update. took my car to Nismo performance centre in Sunshine VIC. they said they couldn't do anything, so actually took a day off work to go and see if i can find a replacement at some nearby wreckers. nothing, apparently (for those that will encounter this later in their lives) Skylines front mudflat thingy's are kinda curvier and more pushed in than other cars, say a Ford falcon or a Toyota camry, so I was stuck up the creek. The bloke says, mate, when another of your skyline brothers gets involved in an accident and sells his wreck to us, which I don't think it will be long, i'll call you and you can come and pick up some parts. i didn't find that quite amusing, but anyways, I then had enough and decided to salvage what i got. jacked up my beast, got under it and with the use of a drill, some plastic nails (or whatever they're called) i basically pinned it on again, didn't a fairly good job actually. i then used some cable-ties to squeez in some vital holding points, so now my beast is all stiched up again. don't know about you guys, but i can't just let my beast sit on my front lawn without his undies on. lol. thanks all again. ps: damn, did you have cat-remains on your tyres? or is this too graphic to discuss here. lol
  13. glad there's still some democracy in this world. lol. thanks bro.
  14. spot on. what can i say. nothing, imo, nothing looks tougher and has the balls than a R33 GT-R. nothing.
  15. I bought a bottle of coca cola from Coles today in sunshine, the customer assistant was called Cloe. damn, i just want to say ... wow, great service highly recommended. man, seriously... ha haha
  16. spend the extra cash and get one with mods already on there... or else you will be spending extra anyways.
  17. I would say around $450-$600. But around $450 should be a reasonable price. remember to get a two-tone paint job done. good luck.
  18. Hey Ray, nice ride bro. welcome aboard. I love your bonnet scope. Don't like the sideskirts makes the vehicle look kinda fat from the side, you should get a buddy-club GT-Wing. otherwise your ride looks tough mate. Note: the bonnet and the rest of your vehicle looks slightly different in colour - this makes it look tougher! Your ride and mine look quite similiar actually. ha ha ha ha, Skylines never look tough front-on.
  19. Agressive-looking, very hot and definitely worthy of the GT-R name and badge. However, it's lost the Skylineness... the Skyline look is no more... it's looks like a Honda S200 coupled with a Nissan 350Z or something. Most cars are moving towards that trend, space-shippy look. I don't like it. I have to say, the R33 GT-R looks best, then followed by the aggressive R34 GT-R then lastly but not least the mean-little trooper R32 GT-R. That's the only three Skylines that will or ever will be a Skyline. Enough said, it is a good looking piece of machinery neverless.
  20. Hi guys, Please click here for more details. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=170636 Many thanks,
  21. Hi fellas, Need some advise on the following. I was driving home one night and suddently, I heard a rubbing sound - sounded like something was rubbing really close to my front tyres (the right-hand side to be exact), so I stepped out to have a look, and too my astonishment, the black hard plastic front-wheel guard thing that separates the wheels from the front bumper has broken off and hence is rubbing onto the wheel. Now, I got two options, 1) to remove this and let it be hollow - but it looks really weird if you standing on the right-hand side of the car and if you look towards the front-bar from the wheels's view you can see all the wires and things holding the front bar together... or 2) find a replacement for this as my current one is broken to shreds due to wear and tear. This happen to anyone before? Now I got two questions - 1) if I leave it hollow like this for the time-being, does it affect the mechanics/eletronics of the car at all? As I fear water may splash onto the wiring etc of the front bar. 2) If I want to get a replacement, where do I get one and how much would it most likely cost? I don't know what the above guard-piece is called so I got some pictures, hope you guys can help. Anyone have an old one laying around I can buy off you? Many thanks,
  22. I am Skyline fan, but specifically only a R33 maniac (so a hundreds of my friends). When I hear Skyline, I automatically think of the R33 as the beast that will start all, end all. If you look hard enough, you can find a R33 GT-R for around $30K or slightly less even. Don't go for the R34, looks wonky, boxy and is way too heavy. If I had to choose between the two, I would go S15 as it does have a nice shap, light as and is pretty powerful in it's own right. Hope that answers your question. No offense intended to R34 owners, just don't like the way they handle and look!
  23. fellas, sometimes less is more!
  24. yeah, wouldn't surprise me. seen a honda skyline once on the road. wow, but gay!
