  1. Nice.. I'm after a few bits. R32 Heater Core (mine is leaking) R32 Aircon Inlet Air Temp sensor (located in the heater/aircon box somewhere its causing my A/C not to work) Not looking forward to pulling mine apart next week. :S Let me know what you can do.
  2. I'd like to know how that bloke went who was running his plazman on the rb25det runners. Scooby? or someone I think? I can't remember.
  3. Definitely not easy selling modified cars.. As you know Freebaggin ended up returning his back to stock also. :S Good luck with which ever way you end up swaying..
  4. Thats damn good solid power and excellent spool. 4100rpm.. Impressive. Excellent wheel selection Slide.
  5. It has to do with the whole package. The compressors ability to flow at the given pressure ratio and the turbine/hot sides ability to allow that air to flow out of the motor. As you increase backpressure (smaller turbine housing and turbine wheel) you reduce volumetric effiency as less air is able to easily flow into the cylinders. This is why bigger turbo's make more power on the same boost level, there's less back pressure so greater VE so more air flows in to the cylinder easier hence less boost required to make the same power.
  6. Godzilla, There's not a lot of room for tensioner movement before it fouls the lower cam cover. Do let us know how the 149tooth belt goes with the 2 tensioners.
  7. Grepin. Are you considering dropping a stocker in to the R33 and selling off the other motor as a package of sorts?
  8. With regards to imports and the compliance plate etc I don't know. If its the same model/size motor all is required is to notify motor reg of the new engine number. I did this some years ago but not with an import; pop through your local motor reg and fill out a form. Unsure if they issue a new set of compliance plates and what not or if it really matters. Providing its listed on the rego slip it shouldn't.
  9. Unsure exactly how credible this bloke is but none the less its an interesting read and it supports everything I have read. I haven't came across any evidence that states R12a has been the cause of a vehicle fire that would not have otherwise occured.
  10. That was explained to me and I have done a 'little' research of my own before giving the nod. A lot of the R12a hysteria is created by the exaggeration of chemical companies R134a with the oil suspended mixed with air is flammable at a low 200 something degree's and when it does go up it is extremely toxic, r12a on the other hand requires high 800's and isn't toxic. There simply is not enough gas in the system to create such a concentration within the cabin for a cigarette, naked flame or red hot metal to ignite the R12a should the evaporator spring a leak. Punch a hole in the hose and light it and you will see a flame the size of a blow lighter. A heater hose that springs a leak and having Glycol sprayed as a fine mist is much more flammable than R12a. Under no circumstance will it 'blow' you up, there simply is not enough r12a within the system. If it catches fire then R134a would have also in the same circumstance; according to statistics.
  11. Ahh so the GTR rear wing does have LED's located in the centre? Can't say I've ever taking notice, simply assumed.
  12. The R32's came with a rear wing that has eyelevel brake light LED's built in. Remove the rear wing and you need to fit a eyelevel light in the rear window. Regarding the suspension height.. A mate recently got defected and I believe he said the GTR's had to be no lower than 372mm. Ring regency and check.
  13. I remember with the 32's when you hit the empty light you have left ~10litres. The old Rb20DET running 1bar used to average470km's per tank and that was giving it a bit also. The RB30DET has dropped a touch to ~450km's per tank giving it a bit also.
  14. I guess that makes you a huge fan then.
  15. Thats not too bad.. I paid under $200 for the noltec subframe bushes. It doesn't look like they will be going in next week as I've just discovered a leaky heater core that needs replacing (dash out) asap.
  16. Nice.. How do you rate it to your old GT30? You did have the 7blade gt30 didn't you??? What power are you making now?
  17. I'm definitely not saying the work is easy I'm saying if you turn up to the lectures/tutes/workshops and do the home work and assignments required its almost impossible not to get a good grade. Slack off and not turn up to lectures/tutes/workshops and try to get by doing just the assignments etc and most of the topics are difficult resulting in poor grades. Allthough providing you don't have issues getting your head around programming you don't really need to go to lectures etc. I've got distinctions by only doing assignments and an exams in the programming topics.
  18. The LS1 would be lighter would it not? All alloy.
  19. Checked it out this morning. Its definitely coolant. All though that is good (as I've just paid to get the a/c serviced) its also bad as its harder to get to.
  20. Yes. Depends where you want to work. Help desk/sales (with the possibility of being stuck there) and slowly work your way up or make leaps and bounds by entering the workforce via graduate offers. All the GPA really indicates is motivation. Its difficult not to get good/reasonable grades at Uni UNLESS your just slack. Allthough it may be a different story within Engineering. I.T it comes down to motivation.
  21. Dale, A bloke who runs on the same dyno as I has a GT28 on his RB25, comparing the dyno graph to a stock turbo'd rb25 the spool/power is almost identical down low and then the gt28 simply takes off and makes an effortless 240rwkw, I don't remember what boost it was running but it was fairly low, I remember thinking wow wind the boost in to it and that would really have some killer mid range (not that it already doesn't). It really did look like an awesome street setup.
  22. lol... Checking out the redtop cam specs, the lift is the same (7.8mm) as is the exhaust cam. However the inlet is a 248duration vs the usual 240duration.
  23. I have on hand the redtop cam specs but aren't the Ceffy's silver tops? R31's were redtops?
  24. Very nice. I'm all for the stealth look also.
