  1. We are talking a completely different level of power there though.
  2. Good to see some others making more power than I was at the time come to the same conclusion as I. I ran mine back to back on the dyno ~5yeares ago. Stock airbox vs K&N pod. There was no difference in power output.
  3. No problems Jazza..
  4. Thats definitely pricey. You can pick up a set of Nolatec Subframe bushes for $190 from UAS. The local workshop who has installed subframe bushes before wants $200 to fit them. They are fairly easy to do your self providing you have 'some' tools. Remove the subframe, big hole saw to drill the old out, press the new in. An ebay 12tonne press for $150 will do the trick. Then if you wish throw some pineapples in to angle the cradle for traction if you wish. The UAS Link. http://www.nismo.com.au/pricelists/priceli...esuspension.htm Scroll roughly half way down or do a search for subframe bushes.
  5. Interesting Info Geoff. Regarding a new master cylinder. Any good brake place will be able to recondition them. The local clutch and brake place here does reco brake masters for $120. New clutch masters are $75 and slaves $30-$40 It would be nice to drop in the GTR's power assisted clutch master cyl. I fear it would foul the inlet manifold though.
  6. Peering = reliability and consistency. Optus for example only *unsure if this is still the case* peers with MCI, Telstra and AAPT.
  7. A quick run down of who's on who. Paully - Internode Me - Internode Bl4ck32 - Internode Busk2k - Internode Kralster - Internode Chops - Internode Tangles - Bigpong Leeman - Bigpong Madaz - Bigpong I'll stop there.. There appears to be essentially 2 main isp's who are SAU goobers. Node and Bigpong.
  8. Busky2k. Are you on an SOHO Internode plan? From what I can tell it looks like it.
  9. I use my upstream for remote desktop, email and web server and the occasional p2p on a private site. I hardly use p2p, maybe 1 or 2GB per month if that. Doing my general bits and pieces I use ~15gb per month. I'm not really in to game demo's, movie trailers etc. I have been dloading quite a few linux distro's of late though. Linux is still very clunky for an everyday os, great for a server though. Either way.. Internode ROXORS!! BIGPONG SUXORS!!! I should also mention Internode peer with youtube, microsoft, google and a shit load of other places. So speeds are as quick and reliable as technically possible. Unsure exactly who Telstra peers with as they don't tell anyone.
  10. The problem is its the kids that do all the torrenting etc.. So not completely true. I know lots of noobs (whom I do regular computer upgrades, computer repairs etc) and its their kids that use emule, piolet and torrents and the worse thing, piolet for example defaults to boot when the system starts, so constantly sucking bandwidth. In the US. Who do you hear of being pinched for dloading music etc.. Teens living at home with their parents. Telstra is expensive. Unless your on cable *even then its debatable* one would be silly to stick with them. If all goes as planned I will be moving ~500m away from the exchange down at Moana. So ADSL2+ 24mbit here I come. For those wishing to see the location of their phone exchange.... http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/index.cfm?a...&tag=AEG_SA
  11. Telstra do have more bandwidth than Internode BUT they have to share it amongst a hell of a lot more noob users (mums, dads, grandma's grandpa's etc whom think because its telstra it must be better). This results in less available bandwidth per head than Internode offers. GA has faster file servers for your self because you are with GA. If you can't suck off internodes file servers at full speed then the problem is the link between internode and GA. The only thing Bigpong has going for it is cable, thats if your one of the luck 1% who are able to get it. I'm all for Internode as they come across to myself as an enthuiasts ISP who has a pashion for developing/improving broadband in Australia. Annex-M is a prime example. Tesltra.. They were trying to cripple Aus. Another thing I like. Simon the owner of Internode participates on Whirlpool and lets every one know whats going on. I guess that makes me a fanboi! lmao
  12. Idle hunt. Clean the AAC valve. -- If its missing when cold throw in a new set of NGK heat range 6 plugs (BCPR6E) and ensure they are gapped to 0.8mm.
  13. The cas will cause issues if the half moon drive is worn. Yours being a series 2.. Unsure if they still run with the half moon or not. There was a thread on it a while back. Essentially there was a slight missfire and lack of power at higher rpm.
  14. Gayarena. Leeman, grab it from internode. No registration required. Australian patch http://games.internode.on.net/filelist.php?filedetails=4737 For those that for what ever reason have the other euro or us release of the game. http://games.internode.on.net/filelist.php...=651&menu=1
  15. Yep I will check them out as I have to rip the plugs out and regap them anyhow. I've still got the stock coils in there as I have siliconed them up and appear to be working quite well. In a few weeks I'm soon to wind 20odd PSI in to it so I want to see if the std coils with lots of silicon over them hold up. Strange you may say but I'm a fiddler and just want to see as I literally have siliconed every surface so it will be impossible for the spark to arc out any where other than the spark plug.
  16. Yep and now that I have a 12tonne hydraulic press, Time to pull that finger out your Bung Hole Darren. SavageGTR, Grab the bearing part numbers and have CBC match them up.
  17. Yep .88 with the narrow band = 12:1 wideband. Well its a bugger. Best off sending it back to the tuner and getting him to sort it out then. He should have all the required tools to do so. I think you have exhausted your means. :S
  18. So 0.8 with a wideband? Play with the fuel maps? So your running a n SAFC? Ignore the narrow band they are useless. My narrow band was reading 0.88 and it was running in and past the 10's. Tune her up via the pfc to run 12:1 and its still 0.88. So yes they are useless.
  19. writeoff, Sad to hear buddy. I've seen that car once in the flesh and I was in awe of how clean the thing was. It looked/looks simply awesome. Sad to hear an old classic beast may join the wrecking yards, glad to hear your ok. I know that intersection very well.
  20. What afr's is it running? Do you have a dyno sheet?
  21. I've been told by the bloke who worked on my head that upon removing the cams you must bleed the lifters as they can pump up slightly. If the lifters have pumped up slightly and you install new cams it will cause the valve to open slightly and possibly kiss the piston resulting in a stuffed valve. On that note, he didn't mention it BUT I have read here and there that to get around this problem some have spun their motors 10degree's off TDC, installed the cams and its all been good. So becareful. Those interested... I think the cheapest way out of an aftermarket set of cams is to grab a set of GTR cams, send them off to LukeVL (from calaisturbo.com who works for or owns, Tighe Cams in QLD) and have them reground to your requirements.
  22. The internet isn't a reliable source of info full stop. You take everything with a pinch of salt and make your own conclusion.
  23. bah cable.
  24. Stumbled upon this. http://www.d1nz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=...255e06b94738ffc
  25. If its dropping down to 10:1 around the same area that it missfires then it very well may be richer than 10:1 as 10:1 is the lowest the widebands read. So it could be 9:1. Lean it off. Rich misfire.
