  1. When an offer presents its self that is too good to refuse (1k) and is internal gate that is basically bolt up.
  2. This is the club to join... http://www.nissandatsuncarclubsa.com/membership.htm
  3. Track day down at Mallala is much harder on the car and is a touch more expensive. + My car isn't setup at the moment for it. lol.
  4. Definitely sounds interesting...
  5. Busky2k, lol... Next time.. This time around I had too much work to complete. I'll have to get the oldies to look after the little boy. In the last 14 months since the little man was born I've only been on one. That was go-carting up victor way. A little suggestion for the next gathering. Maybe head down to a Motorkhana event, join a club on the spot for around $30 and a temp 1 day licence for $15. So $45 total for the day. Sounds expensive ish but it really is awesome fun. http://www.motorkhana-sa.com/ Max in his old 200sx. He looks fast there, wasn't side ways but simply turning, he was very slow.. heheh
  6. Sure you are.. 'I think' what Andrew is getting at is an SAU cruise is an SAU cruise with its forum regulars.. Not a cruise where every man and his other forum mate rocks up.
  7. They had a little more on Ch.7 News about the accident. They mentioned the road markings are confusing. The down hill single lane (where the festiva was) should not be allowed to over take using the uphill (where the skyline was) center over taking/passing lane. Common sense really..
  8. Mine did this after I got it back from a respray. They had it for 3months and it apparently hadn't been started the whole time, simply pushed around. Mine idled like crap, blew lots of black smoke and had to be held up around 2500-3000rpm otherwise it would stall. Eventually it came good, unsure exactly what it was but approx 6months later the injectors died, they began stalling the car when cold, it was really difficult to start when cold and a flat spot could be felt on the tip of the accelerator, the flat spot was much worse when cold. I wasn't able to touch the accelerator if it was idling ok as it would cause it to stall instantly. Fuel consumption was bad also. Replaced injectors, fuel consumption instantly awesome and no starting problems.

Strange enough they are the same as a reliable Z32 300ZX source. Is any one able to confirm the RB25DET gearbox ratios? For those that want to fiddle... http://racingdownloads.com/racing_software-22.html
  11. Yes indeed use the search button. You will find in there where I had my motor built with forged pistons etc. The builder told me to jump in it start the car, put my belt on and drive off slowly down the road. The car comes up to operating temp within ~2km's, which is only a minute or so. The less time the pistons sit there slapping around the better, not that they slap much but they do slap ever so slightly. Prolonged warm ups is probably why some of you ppls return poor fuel economy figures.
  12. I would think its best to give it at least a couple of days. He only had the accident yesterday.
  13. For those that are interested I've made a dyno spool comparison of the mine, sky30's and Ash's. The reason mine jumps up sharply is it basically spools up instantly at that rpm, if shaun had loaded the car up at a lower rpm ~1500rpm it would have been a slightly better indicator of how it spools in the real early rpm. I haven't attached bl4ck32's 218rwkw run as he doesn't have a print out. His little plain bearing MQT/Dynamic Turbochargers RB20 highflow makes 218rwkw on 16psi and it spools ever so slightly better than the vg30det turbo shown here. I think if ash were to get an ebc on to his nice tight little actuator he may bring full spool in slightly earlier, which actually would look too bad. Dial some more boost in and it should hold power a little better than the .82. BUT it is difficult to tell as sky30 is making a shiet load more power/airflow at that rpm so ash's power curve very well may follow sky30's rapid nose over. I really do believe this rpm/airflow/velocity point is the limitation of the standard exhaust manifold. Especially when you see blokes like 88sillouete or what ever his alias is running a nice exh. manifold, stock head, td06-20g and he flicks it to 7200rpm no problems. Ash, At 100km/h yours is making a bee's dick more power than a healthy R33 RB25DET running 13psi to make a total of 200rwkw, usual mods pfc etc. 80km/h you are down 18rwkw compared to the rb25det where as sky30 is the same.. So essentially... Sky30's RB30DET GT35r .82 will feel the same at 80km/h as an rb25det running the stock turbo at 13psi. Impressive when you look at it like that. 60km/h... who knows, most likely they will be the same, if not the rb30det will have the upper hand as 60km/h is some where around 2000rpm. If one was able to get the 1.06 holding power until 7000rpm I think it would be a rather drivable street car with a downlow (up to 3000-3500rpm) stock rb25det power delivery that simply becomes more and more insane as rpm's increase. I hope that makes sense if you visualise the power curve.
  14. I think if we were talking about a motor manufactured in australia then well yes.. there is freak motors. Nissan motors are extremely well built from factory.. You may have a really nice exhaust, no cat, tweaked ecu or simply the dyno was reading a little high due to an incorrectly placed temp sensor. apart from that.. it may have been rebuilt running a little more compression than a std one.
  15. lmao
  16. Its definitely going to be on Ch.7 at 6. They just had a snip of it in the adverts. Good work MY33. So we are all going to see your mug? Should have farted... That would have fixed her.
  17. Madaz.. render it in divx or wma... They do nice small file sizes with good quality. MY33, Care to share how they tried to blame it on the imports?
  18. Thats unbelievable.. I hope they don't twist the story away from it being a simple accident that had nothing to do with car types.
  19. Doubt it.. They wouldn't have answered back, simply takes the thrashing. hehe hopes thats not over the line....
  20. Blackwood auto and dyno do cheap power runs for $35.. Well they used to. They will hook up their little controller thingo majig to the ecu's diagnostics port, that gives a live read out of ign being run etc. Head down and grab a second dyno run if you want to burst your bubble or to confirm something has been fiddled with.
  21. Erm.. dude.. Nightcrawler is happily married.
  22. Thats because R32 and R34's arn't Boats. hehe
  23. Very nice Gav. Care to share a dyno print out with us? Did u take note of where (rpm) it made the 154rwkw, or more relevant.. What rpm does it feel like it requires you to shift?
  24. well well some ones receiving $$.
  25. Thats how I drive.. 1st to literally just get the car moving then straight in to second. BUT.. If I want to drive briskly... well thats when it begins feeling buzzy from a standing start.
