  1. Awesome.. I'm in. It will be good to play with some ppls keen on actually kicking the others teams arse instead of simply joyriding the planes and helli's. I also have the SF expansion. I've only recently started playing so I am a bit of a Noob but getting much better rather quickly. I'm not a plane or helli joyrider, I much prefer spawning on the team leader and kicking some arse. Alias is...... Sgt.Cubes
  2. Do not use the rb26 piston. Its pin height is not suitable.
  3. I had this problem it was extremely evident when the car was cold and got to the point where it would stall the car. Once warm it was still there but wouldn't stall the car. Then one day.... the car started stalling at the lights. Turned out to be my injectors. Not saying thats your problem but it was definitely mine. Whats fuel consumption like? When my was doing this it was averaging around 13-14L/100km's up from ~10.5-11L/100km's. Dropped the new injectors in and fuel consumption was back down again. The end.
  4. They weren't too generous were they. Care to share any pics of the line bashed up? I've seen a few pics of skylines in roll overs etc and they handle it extremely well.
  5. Still a little dumbfounded over the amount of power it made. Simply awesome. Any chance you can grab a dyno print out for us and post it up?
  6. Its an RB what do you expect...
  7. You will need those big arsed lumpy cams Roy. I'd be interested to see how this RB20 makes power, cams it runs and where power noses over.
  8. 1400r, unsure if its your mates or not. A couple of days ago Shaun (Boostworx) had an rb20 with a t88 strapped on the side of it. Made around 346rwkw? Hows it boost in the first 2 gears? None the less thats a rather impressive figure.
  9. The FMIC gives you more consistent power. When the stock item becomes heat soaked (which is very very quickly) the car will be down on power not to mention much closer to detonation. Give it a little bit of a warm day and ping ping ping.
  10. Its only going to get worse. The R32/R33's are damn cheap now, affordable by people in their teens. And lets face it. The majority of teens/early 20's fly around, some a little some a lot. It reflects badly against all of us. Take the car down Mallala or do it where no one see's. Keep it out of the public eye, no peak hour on the way home or on the way to work crazyness.
  11. I would stick with the sr20. Whats it come with?
  12. Any one here play BF2? I've been getting in to it as of late, slowly getting better, still appear to always get my arse kicked but. Alias is Sgt.Cubes
  13. Amd 64 x2 3800, 2gb ram, 7900gt Unless he's changed his mind. quick google.. Going to have a watch now. http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/driving/granturismo5/media.html
  14. Just had a play of GTR. Pretty awesome game, not as hard as I expected but none the less still difficult to control wheel spin without traction control on.
  15. Chirping gears doesn't prove a car is fast. It simply proves you have a very good clutch, hard tyres and slam the gear damn hard. Chirping gears is stupid, it puts un-necessary strain on gearbox's and will stuff your diff early. Every R33 I've seen run more than std boost picks up power when you drop an fmic on them. Its not much, hardly noticable. R32's... Well mine didn't.
  16. Pop your bonnet and have a look at how the hose runs from the compressor cover to the actuator. Easy Peazy
  17. It is an early 8x agp and one of the first 9700pro's.
  18. Mine too has boot up issues. For a reason that is unknown it now cold boots to fail safe cpu speeds. It requires myself to enter the bios and resave. It resets and all is good. Nothing to do with the battery, its a motherboard fault. Its around 4yrs and has been overclocked all its life so its been good. Bit like my rb20t gearbox, took a hammering for quite some time before it let go.
  19. I have to agree.... FEAR is a half arsed decent game. Definitely a different approach to a FPS. I have the DVD version with an extra couple of vids on it, one of them is plain creepy, first time I saw it I had the head phones one watching, the creepy aspect of it made my spine tingle.
  20. What is it with Black R32 RB30DET's in Adelaide.
  21. Sky30, I've been looking through the specs of various piston manufacturers. It appears the JE VG30DET pistons are suitable. (22mm pin vs rb30's 21mm) 4.8cc dome, 1.255 compression height, the only down side is they are only available in 87.5mm. http://www.jepistons.com/pdf/2006-sportcomp3.pdf Without decking the block it 'appears' they will achieve an 8.2:1 compression ratio with a 0.045 deck height and 1mm headgasket. IF you were to bring the pistons up flush with the top of the block (rip 0.045" off the block) compression will raise to 9.06:1. I do know Gary has used JE's in the past. So I assume this is how they get their 9:1 RB30's? I'm also assuming the pin dia. issue is sorted with a nice set of rods. 87mm CP flat tops grab an 8.4:1 comp ratio with 0 deck height. (Requires 0.020" off the block) 87.5mm JE 4.8cc domes grab an 9.06:1 comp ratio with 0 deck height. (Requires 0.045" off the block)
  22. The R32 and R33 GTST's run a Viscous LSD.. They don't run clutch packs. Viscous works on the principle of one wheel spinning heats up the viscous fluid that expands and locks the two wheels together. As they age they begin to open wheel. Why shimming works on these diff's i'm am not completely sure, but it does. To some extent. Have a read of the LSD wiki to so you understand a little more about diffs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limited_slip_differential
