hehe.. I sent an enquiry.

I've seen this once before Nick. It was on the tilbrooks auto and dyno, the car went from ~170 rwkw to 200rwkw, this was on 11psi. The car was a bit of a freak and went on to run a 13.3. Not all R33 ECU's are the same. Before my R32 with a bit of boost and exhaust was quicker, after his fmic, well it wasn't. On my R32 the FMIC picked up around 3rwkw with a little less response. The biggest difference as stated above was on hot days and or when giving it a hard run through the hills, more consistent power. Before it would tend to begin to feel flat.

Paulr33, Any news as to why it doesn't support the R33 RB25DET yet? I sent a simple scan and soon received back confirmation that the scan was fine.

It has already been ported installed + screen shots some where.

If you want an ebc the pfc boost kit is the cheapest way out of it UNLESS you are electronically minded and able to solder the jaycar kit together. Do remember the purchase of the jaycar kit + some one else assembling it will cost you the same if not more than a pfc ebc. Another option is to buy an adjustable actuator from a turbo shop, they can be purchased in a variety of base boost level's then tweaked via the adjusting nut to achieve the boost level your after. They are around $130. Or find an R32 rb20det actuator and drop that on for a 10-12psi boost level. There is a few options, but for 3k it will be close.

It is able to be used on the pda. What is interesting is he has stated he's only charging for the cable, software is free.

Intercooler Question Important (must Be Finished By 2nite)

Interesting.. A family friend who has is a police officer states.. 'They drive like dick heads. Thats why we pull them over if we its too low, a big exhaust tip or a history' Mind you she's only been in it for the last year. It was interesting to note she though all BOV's were illegal, that was until I mentioned that the the late model cars were released with recirc bov's and that some fit an aftermarket bov that removes the recic part of it in order to achieve an apparent cool psshhhtt noise. -
Sorry no link.. That would mean I would have to search through posts. Its definitely a pretty piece of software. The feature I'm looking forward to the most is AUTO TUNE!!!! Yes Auto-Tune for the PowerFC.

Hi ppls, I've been following the development of FC-Tune for quite some time now. Here... http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?p=5658689#post5658689 and look at this nice little piece http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=533202

Intercooler Question Important (must Be Finished By 2nite)

erm no.. Your origional comment was... My response was that the boys in blue do not target import drivers for their 'known' home bodgy installs. If anything its quite the opposite, home bodgy installs by import drivers are far and between. Its illegal 'unroad worthy' installs full stop, i.e too low, loud exhaust and most common BOV. I then pointed out the majority of work shops do bodgy installs. hence the well know across the engine bay fmic install. On this board I believe I have only seen ONE with pics where the workshop have installed an fmic the 'legal' way. If you have found a work shop that builds a car to respect the law as much as possible then awesome please share their business name here as they are scarce. EDIT: I'm nit picking.. who gives a sh*t. -
I tidied up the gasket against the head then slapped the gasket onthe manifold drew the area with black texta that needed to be ground away and grabbed the dremel.

Another thing to note is that bl4ck32 and my own head have been ported by the same ppls. Not so much porting but cleaned up in order to achieve better flow around the bowl and valve stem area's, they received the usual 3 angle valve job and another type on the opposite valve as to suit the airflow direction. I forget which valve job was done on the which in/exh. The inlet port was roughened up like hell to improve fuel atomization. Valves deshrouded to improve low lift airflow and the combustion chambers were removed of all sharp edges. Maybe the little bit of head work helps fuel economy? Guilt-toy, When doodling around I keep rev's under 2600rpm and use more throttle to get the car moving rather than less throttle and higher rpm. I actually find I change up just over 2000rpm, sure I am in 5th by the time I'm at 40-50km/h but meh.. the torque lugs it fine and i'm still up with traffic if not in front.
-
Bl4ck32 and I did our manifolds. Grab a dremel and grind away. The heads were spot on, I assume they were done by the head reco ppls that did a full rebuild, mild port/polish, valve deshroud for $1100 inc vrs gasket kit, the heads were done at the same time to save a little in setup costs. The inlet/exh ports were hardly ported, more so cleaned up to improve flow around the vale stem guides, bowl etc.. I don't know a whole lot about head work but what was done we were told was the best bang for buck, the next lot of fiddlings would cost money (obviously lol) and offer bugger all improvement in flow. The work was done by Chris Milton Engineering in Adelaide.

lol... load of crap that revenue would drop. How do you think 90% of the fmic installs are done by these 'professional' mechanic work shops. They are all highly illegal installs as to have the fmic piping route through the engine bay one HAS to cut the body's metal in order to do so. Cutting any body metal is illegal full stop. So a little pvc pipe is hardly the problem. Its all these work shops cutting the body to fit these sicko fmic's with their big arsed shinny piping through the engine bay. My self.. I had a little more sense and ran the piping throught the std route. Lol bodgy smodgy modifications. Lets be real, what are 90% of the defects for? Not bodgy installs; but loud exhausts, too low and BOV's. Go figure. Hell, down here its been known for the police to defect one for a stock bov. The police need to be education in car modifications before they were able to find and defect us for these bodgy modifications. -
Whats the skylines base fuel pressure? 36.5psi? or 40psi?

Mine cost me $120 inc GST to be cleaned, tested and backflushed or what ever it is they do with them. See pic attached for the report.

PVC beings to melt at ~80degree's or 160F. PVC is fine for testing and playing around on low boost, not 20psi but I'd think up to 11psi providing it holds it will be fine providing its located 'after' the IC, not before. All though not recommended as it sounds like the op has used it before the IC, I would hope the op tracks down a suitable piece of pipe asap. The boys in blue comment, come on you seriously don't believe that do you? ermm do you? You and I know the boys in blue target import drivers for the way they drive, stupidly lowered cars and loud exhausts. Blame it on the 'sik' street drifters running their undersized tyres on out of track wide rims and raised rear of their bonnet. Maybe the boost guage doesn't work because the pvc pipe is leaking so much the turbo isn't able to make boost? *joke* -
As in too much grip or not enough?
-
Valve springs short of a car that can rev over 4000rpm.

Yer... Here's a few I've heard in my lifetime of 26yrs. Stubby short of a six pack Not the sharpest knife in the drawer When they handed out brains, thought they said "drains" and didn't want one. The last one out of the starting gate. Fell out of the family tree. Has the wit of a twit Often gets lost in thought as its unfamiliar territory.
-
lol... I only liked the gti because I was winning in it. The turbo is much more fun and quicker.
-
I play.. awesome game. Multiplayer is available in S2 and 3 cars to choose from.
-
I am indeed. I kicked some arse last night with a few 4banga gti races..

What map(s) will we be playing? and how often will it change. BF2 loads new maps terribly slow.

They have their paper work cut out for them down south, look at your age and probably can't be frigged with any more. Lots and lots of hoons down south. lol
