  1. I will have one for sale in in a few weeks, Series 3 Silhouette, manual, LSD, extractors etc $3500ono
  2. I should be picking up my bunky this week, 3cyl Charade Will be good to have a car that runs on almost zero fuel, takes parking dents and that I can generally not care about. Having a nice car as a daily driver adds alot of wear & tear, just not worth it IMO Carry's are great think of all that space you can put gearboxes etc in the back kinda scary to drive though
  3. Yeh, I have 1CBU*** that I got about a month ago....so there would be around 50,000 1C plates. but that said, there would only be a few white Vitaras of that year that have new plates....maybe 100 tops, then the amount of them that live north wouldn't be that much etc Good luck with it
  4. I had 10mm spacers on the front of my old R31 when I had S13 offset rims, it it gave me about 8 or 9 turns of the nut, apparantly it's 'safe' with just 6 turns.. surely bolt on spacers are legal? I will be putting S13 struts in my new 31, and with S13 offset wheels the front will sit perfect, but some nice 25mm rear bolt on spacers would be nice
  5. Mature age apprentices start on 3rd year wages, there is one at my work, and I know that there is a few others getting around, if you show that you are keen then you have a good chance of getting an apprenticship. Exactly, that is somewhere I would like to be in the future, I'm not sure how exaclty I will get there though...
  6. Yeh the weather sucked Made the track less exciting too, those Ceffy's could have put on some really high speed stuff, and they sounded awesome with the gate. But anyway it was good, I loved the comentator "He's just testing out his limiter, it's an important test to check that it's working" or something like that, I was pissing my self at that Was you car the black 32 with the stock 'zorst Josh? Good to see ya having a go, went around a few times
  7. I've seen a 32 4dr with roofracks and a towbar....so they are out there...
  8. Totally agree CrazyMan Dunno who the plane guy is, havn't seen a golf Can't say I've heard the Hooker story, he once was going on about being in 'Nam though. He's all tough, and then it's funny when you see him cleaning the toilets Holmes last week made me and a few other guys do the tests (on paper, not ocmputer) for subjects (sorry, 'competencies' ) that we hadn't even started studying yet. When we where doing them the teacher that was looking after us (not our normal teacher) just told us the answers, and basically said we where doing the tests because of $$$, us being ahead (we weren't even behind before) made Holmes look like top shit and gets more Government money/employers sending apprentices there.....dodgy. Going totally against how he always saysthat we need to have all the 'underpinning knowledge' before doing the prac or test /rant
  9. Gotta agree, those rims are horn I was going to paint my 31 Midnight Purple, I love that colour, but have pretty much decided on Wine red or similar, so I don't have to paint the engine bay (car is faded red already) I look forward to the end result, should look hot!
  10. Just wondering if anyone knows if all the lines are them (or close enough to being the same that they are interchangeable) I know that some oil feed lines have a restictor, is that the only difference? I will soon be in the process of doing an RB30E+T, I have the oil and water feed liines, but neither of the returns, and finding VLT ones aren't easy. I would rather not get aftermarket ones made up because this will (hopefully) be cheaper, and I want to retain a factory-looking engine bay, in every way I can. cheers Stu
  11. lmao yeh both are still there Holmes just went out of our room, then a mate was saying some shit about him....but he didn't close the door, and heard him, came back into the class and gave him a talking to hahah
  12. Im just getting to the end of 1st year I too did some TEE, and last year was doing Aircraft Maintainence at TAFE, waaaaaaaaay too much regulation and red tape for me in that industry (though to be fair, they ned to be pretty stringent), but I didn't like it as I thought I would, and cars are my first love. So yeh, I'm pretty old for a 1st yr, though I seem to know my shit more than the others It is an extremly skilled job.... Wages are going up, due to the lack of mechanics available, and with the labour rates that dealerships are charging....they can afford it Are you saying you don't like Mr Holmes? hahahah what a knob
  13. Mum just bought a Pulsar Q Dad has a VZ SV6 work car T4?
  14. Northside Nissan is looking for an Apprentice for next year I beleive, A friend that just got apprenticeship there told me about that ( As I would like one there...but I'm not going to move from where I am ) What day do you go to MITA Baz? Im there on Fridays, Im a 'user choice' Apprentice though, as I found my apprenticehip myself and my employer sent me there. I'm not a Ford guy so wouldnt be over your side anyway
  15. I beleive it;s only the privately owned sites that participate, the BP owned ones don't.
  16. Sounds good... does it comply the all standards, and the standards that will be coming out in a couple of years? (don't want to go buy a helmet and then have it unuseable in any sort of event a couple of years later)
  17. Damn straight, when the light goes green, go! My mum does this, she hasn't got a clue. I've told her tons of times that if going straight you only indicate left when going out. even when I was on my L's she would tell me that I'm meant to indicate when coming into a roundabout when going straight, grrrr, it pisses me off! and she's just one of the tousands of cluless drivers on WA's roads... agree with everything else you say too speed limits need to be raised on a lot of roads too IMO..though they are probably so low in the first place because we have such shithouse drivers...
  18. Take the switch out, open it up and see if the contacts are all dirty, I've fixed a few by doing just this. Though hearing the click makes it seem like that's not the problem..
  19. There isn't usually a gasket between the turb and dump is there? new studs/nuts etc would be ideal, as they can snap when they get old, but obviously not 'needed'
  20. I'll come to spectate for sure Do you need any experience to marshal?
  21. Ashley Electrical in Malaga (name changed to something wierd lately) TCS in Ozzie Park
