  1. I would have said it's because the oil goes to the front of the sump as you brake, away from the pickup, but the pickup is at the front of the sump, which makes this a little odd.
  2. I might have missed something, but wouldn't GT-R offset rims sit too far outwards on a GTS-t?
  3. Why would you be hammering such a car on a gravel road in the first place??
  4. Good point, bet you love that
  5. If you read the DPI website, it says they can still sticker you, and can be inspected here etc. I believe that if you buy a car with interstate rego, if you by it in another state, then you have 3 months to change the rego I beleive, but if you buy it here, with interstate rego, then it needs to be immediatly changed, IE: you need a a temp movement permit to be able to drive it to the pits, regardless of the fact that it's rego'ed in another state. Weird rule, but a mate had to deal with it, drove the pits with the plates then told he had to get a temp movement permit (and he'd been driving it around in the few days before).
  6. I got knocked out for it, there was no way I was being awake for it (I don't mind being called soft ) a little pain the next day, but nothing Panadol couldn't fix, when you wake up you don't have any pain, but you can't feel your mouth and blood and shit comes out, not a nice feeling but you get over it, by the afternoon I was feeling fine.

Anyone go on the freeway bike hike today? I did it in just under an hour, 59.55. It was pretty cool, I think I was a little fast for my group but picking openings to overtake was fun. It said on the entry thing that you wern't allowed to slipstream....didn't stop most people, but wasn't easy finding people doing the same speed. anyway, I reccomend it.
  9. Had mine out a couple of weeks ago, so far private health insurance has only covered $200 of the $700 surgeon's fee, haven't had the anethatist's fee yet, and I'm not sure it saved a whole lot in being at the hospital, basically private health insurance is a rip IMO, once I move out I wont have it.
  10. What are people's views on the housing situation now, almost a year on? and opinion on this: http://www.news.com.au/perthnow/story/0,21...263-948,00.html as I understand it, the government buys 30% worth then you pay that part off once you've paid the rest off to the bank... actually I just did the sums, we're over the limit for income (assuming they mean gross income) and I'm a 3rd yr apprentice ffs! (did more sums, if I was still a 2nd yr we'd still be over) you would have to be doing something really wrong (or studying) in the current economic climate to be earning less than $50,000 combined. and Banksia Grove is actually an area I'm looking at, reasonably priced places in not a bad location and aren't very old..
  11. Just realised I'm having my wisdom teeth out that Monday, so I won't be able to go down, doh!
  12. Mazda 6s with personal plates must attract dickheads there's a black one with MUTANTX plates on it, see it often on the freeway, he's one of those c**ts that changes lane every 5 seconds, and doesn't leave a lot of room either...total knob.

oh yeh that makes it soooo much easier I went all out today, no bag or anything holding me back on the way home, 25 mins from Ozzie Park to Greenwood. was keeping up with the guys that I usually can't today. Work has a shower, you feel so much better after having a shower to get all the sweat off before work.
  16. That's what I first thought, but that is what would happen if you disconnected the actuator hose, ie the spring would just hold it closed. if you take the rod off, the spring is doing nothing and the wastegate flap just swings around, and would open with no effort.
  17. Above say only VE's used at the moment are for undercover...anyway, last night I was at the international airport and there was cops there (with a marked VE) with the handheld trying to ping people coming into the drop off bit, speed limit being around 15 or 20kmh? I didn't see anyone get done either in the hr or so I was there.
  18. unhook the wastegate actuator rod (if it's internal) no boost = no noise, worked for a mate to pass pits
  19. I'd be going with the switch, I had the same thing happen (except the whole thing was gone, ie: no headlights at all and no rear parkers), it's a pretty common thing. Also check the fuse, I've had that happen too (there is one fuse for each headlight)

I ride to work with a group of us a couple of days a week, the rest of the time we're car pooling, so most of my fuel generally gets used on weekends. A race bike would be real good, I was riding my crappy MTB the first few days to work (18ish ks), then I got a flat bar road bike, there is such a massive difference, was struggling before and suddenly it became so much easier ...it doesn't do awesome skids tho.
  21. Wanted to come, thought I could because work chrissy party is sat nite, but fri is last working day so I'll be getting trashed...
  22. That sucks, I may have had some work for them in the new year
