    Spam?

Your probly the oldest man to own a skyline then haha.
  12. Unfortunaly i think you have bigger problems and should take it to a professional.
  13. id think any over hang would ruin the belt, the walls of the idler would eat through the belt and destroy the teeth. Take a picture and post it on here so we can see exactly what your talking about.
  14. Yes but this guys isnt. I was refuring to his not needing any modification. And seems his already has an aftermarket unit in there he should just be able to follow whats already been done.
  15. sound like you only found the constant. you will need to have the keys in the ignition set to the ACC position to get a reading for the other wire in the loom. This is the one that tells the unit to turn on when you turn the car on. Yellow should be constant and Red will be switched by the ignition barrel. Also test for an earth in the loom, Will be the black wire. What model unit do you have? Model number should be printed on the face somewhere if not it will be on a sticker on the metal shell of the unit somewhere. Did you check the fuse in the back of the unit just above where the loom plugs in? Also the fuse in the fuse box under the dash?
  16. It can be easily incorperated into an install, just put some thought in into it.
  17. Yea double DIN or single DIN with a pocket under it. Haha i actually had a customer come in that had attempted his own install and used like 30mm wood screws to mount the headunit to the brakets lol and he wonderd why it wouldnt take a CD and why it made funny noises, 6 or 8mm mounting screws MAX lol. The 34 dash should not need any modification at all to fit a unit, Unless you buy one of the cheapie ebay double din screens haha.
  18. some sony models had the reset button behind the face. Its more then likely going to just need a reset but seems you have probly pulled the dash out by now.. what are you testing for power with? EDIT: Seems your already back there unplug the loom from the CD player and leave it for a about a minute and then plug it back in and see what happends, that will reset everything too.
  19. hmm.....NO! Ill leave the yellow stickers for you thanks champ.
  20. All valid points to check there troy. I was watching the same model amp on Ebay a couple of weeks ago, ended up going for about $130 so if you around they can be had for fairly cheap.
  21. haha just out of curiosity how much is a brand new 30 block?
  22. It sucks balls man. Sure you can make it work but it still sucks balls. Whos your X? i live next to noarlunga haha. And dan why the feck someone would post that on face book is beyond me let alone why the sister just does CALL HER OR GO TO HER HOUSE to see if shes ok insted of just posting a comment on face book.
  23. haha love the bluntness. There are about 12 wires that need to be spliced into the loom in the car.
  24. No need to remove the neg on the battery while doing that as no current flows through the alt when the cars not running. All i can think of is the spacer you used is too big in diamater and its shorting out on the case of the alternator. But if that was the case it would fry when you started the car, not when you reconect the earth back up. It is normal for the Lead to spark a little bit when re connecting up a batter as the elec system in the car will draw a current for a moment. If i were you i would remove this spacer you put on or atleast check to make sure its not shorting out on the case. Make sure the plug is still pluged in on the back of the alt. Other then that you havnt done anything to cause a problem so without seeing it i cant help you any further. Oh and any autobarn store should have thos fuses in stock. cost you a couple of $$
  25. If its not some cheap brand there will be a reset button somewhere on the face.its about the size of a pen tip. it wont be labled.
