  1. Wow, lucky I didnt pull out the back seat and discover nothing! Cheers for the info guys! I'll be sure to contact you JD_R33 if I run into any dramas. Cheers,
  2. Thanks for your replies guys! So all of you agree that definately the fuel pump is a go without any ECU dramas? Access is under the rear seat? Nothing has to be transferred from my standard fuel pump to the Nismo one right? ie - seals/0-Ring/bolts etc? Just worried that I might miss something... Cheers,
  3. Hi all, I have received my Nismo 600cc injectors and Nismo fuel pump for my R34 GT-R and am curious to know if I can install them now before I get my mechanic to retune my Apexi Power FC along with other parts that I am still waiting on? (boost controller, cams, turbos...) I ask this because the Nismo injectors/fuel pump are bolt on replacements and shouldnt effect my current tune with my Power FC right? Plus they seem like easy DIY parts... so I was thinking of doing it now so thats one less thing that my mechanic has to do and save money on labour. Cheers,
  4. I was thinking of getting the Type S 1100kg ATS Carbon Twin Plate for my R34 GT-R as I will only be running around 300awkw's. This one should suit my application? Also, are the pull to push conversion kits seperate to the ATS clutch? As in, ATS dont offer them as part of the clutch? To my understanding you need the following parts to convert... (and also for complete installation) Nissan clutch fork (30531-01S00) Flywheel bolts x 6 (12315-04U00) Bearing sleeve (30501-N1604) Clutch Bearing (30502-14601) Spring (for pivot) (30534-E9000) Spring (for sleeve) (30514-14600) I got the above info from the American ATS website. Reference: http://www.carbonetic.net/match/others_nissan.htm They say that the above parts actually come with the clutch? Cheers,
  5. What about the ATS Carbon Twin Plate? Anyone ever had any experience with these? Particularly on R34 GT-R's? To my understanding they have to be converted to push type to fit this clutch? Also I have read that the ATS twin plates are very easy to drive (like stock), handle decent power & easy on the gearbox??? Im thinking of getting on of these, or the Nismo Twin Plate... Cheers,
  6. lol I was thinking around the $1000 mark for one that is able to be a reliable daily driver... I dont have any plans to mod it, just as a daily.
  7. Hi all, If tuned properly, what is a safe limit (number) for the Apexi Power FC to register on the knock meter for an R34 GT-R tuned for 300-330rwkw's with the 'usual' support mods? Anything under 30? Cheers,
  8. Yeah sure does look great! Already has some mods too...
  9. Hi Bakes, unfortunately I already have my normal Power FC installed so its too late for D Jetro? Oh and R31Nismoid, thanks for your input. I am most likely heading towards that direction where I get the car tuned and see if they do actually max out cos then I can always replace them with the Nismo ones if necessary. On a bit of a side note, should I also upgrade the fuel pressure regulator to handle the Nismo 600cc injectors & Nismo fuel pump along with the other mods I have? I am thinking of the Nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator... Cheers, Cheers,
  10. Thanks a bunch for all of your replies guys! Cheers,
  11. Hi all, I was searching the internet for car parts and this website came up: www.performance-wise.com. So I took a look through this website and I thought that some of the parts are pretty cheap compared to say Nengun, Greenline etc... Another bonus is that it appears that they have their own warehouse in Japan where they actually stock parts, so I thought this was convenient for when other companies dont have it in stock, or the actual company in Japan does not have them either... (I did not think this was even possible) Anway as an example, I recently sent an enquiry to CRD, Just Jap, RMS motorparts, ISC-Performance & Slide about an Apexi Power FC Boost Control kit for an R34 GT-R and they all said that they didnt have it in stock. For the other people/companies that get their parts directly from the parts company in Japan (Jesse Streeter, Nengun, Greenline etc) they said that Apexi did not have it in stock and that they didnt know when the next batch will be coming (what the?). So I emailed performance-wise and they said they have them in stock at their warehouse in Japan, at a pretty good price too. So just curious but has anyone here ever purchased any parts from these guys? Are they for real? Cheers,
  12. Oh ok so the Z32's are actually bigger than my stock ones? Which means they wouldnt bolt straight up? And the Nismo ones would use the same ECU plugins? Also, you dont think its over kill to get the Nismo ones for my application with the mods I have listed above? Cheers,
  13. Thanks everyone for all of your replies. I will be having the following mods: Garrett GT2860-7 turbos Apexi Power FC Apexi Power FC Boost Control Kit (running 1.2, or even 1.3 bar) Nismo 600cc injectors Nismo fuel pump Apexi Power intake kit HKS cam pulleys Tomei Poncams 260's type B HKS Front pipe HKS Cat Blitz NuR cat back So im guessing that with all of the above mods and the boost that I hope to be running (1.2 or even 1.3 bar) I should upgrade afms? I was thinking of the Nismo afms... Cheers,
  14. Hi all, How much power can the stock R34 GT-R air flow meters handle before it needs to be upgraded to bigger afms (Z32's) for more power? To my understanding, isnt it around 300rwk's and not much more? Cheers,
  15. Thanks a bunch for all of your replies guys. Although having read whats actually involved, I might end up getting a Nismo fuel pump instead because to my understanding, they are a direct replacement for the factory intank fuel pump and no modifying is required on R34 GT-R's? Cheers,
  16. Hi all, Can a bosch 044 fuel pump directly replace the stock intank fuel pump (in an R34 GT-R) or are there other fittings/modifications that need to be done to the 044 in order to successfully mount them in the fuel tank? Cheers,
  17. Are the nissan ones better than the ryco ones? Because at my local Autopro store the ryco ones are only $10...
  18. Thanks man! Those nissan genuine oil filters are smaller than the ryco z145a type oil filters arent they? Cheers,
  19. Hi all, Anyone selling an old R30 Skyline (drivable enough to pass rego...) really cheap? Cheers,
  20. How cheap? Do you reckon they would have tyres to suit 245/40/18's?
  21. so the tyres arent for 18's?
  22. Oh I see. So what makes re-treads bad? Even as a temporary solution? Im after 245/40/18 btw. Cheers,
  23. Hi all, Anyone know of a good place to get cheap tire re-treads in canberra? Are they safe to use for daily driving? I am trying to avoid getting new tyres now as I am waiting on new (bigger) wheels to come from Japan so I was thinking of maybe some re-treads in the mean time??? Seems like a cheap alternative... Cheers,
  24. Cool, thanks Bakes.
