  1. no problem mate, might give you a call soon perhaps answer some of the questions in this thread if you can, may help your sale (the more details the better) some other people are obviously interested in the same thing (ebay items)
  2. Hey guys, thought id put my car up for sale as a whole package before i attempted to wreck it all separately. The car is recorded as a "repairable write-off" after it copped a rear end hit. So can be repaired and re-registered for use on the roads, or used as a track/drift car damage includes rear bar, rear drivers side quarter panel, boot lid. and chassis bent after diff on drivers side. pictures show the damage pretty clearly. no suspension work appears to be damaged though. Cheers Steve
  3. so this comes with the bodykit fixed up and on the car? confused by pics with body kit and without on carsales..??
  4. yeah its all covered by the other persons insurance. so im just waiting to see what value it comes back at. and i will be paid out for that amount. and have been told i will be able to keep the vehicle. should be able to get a fair bit back out of that. i wasnt too keen on having it repaired as part of the chassis is bent. i know its not a major part but its still part of it. would it be the same after that? will i have problems later? resale value of car after its been in an accident? how long till its fixed? etc. i'll miss the car for sure, but hopefully with payout+taxback+savings+selling parts, i'll end up with something as good or better. we'll see how it goes
  5. Just an update guys (if anyone cares haha) took the car to camerons, he didnt quote on it needs a whole rear half cut, respray etc cost in excess of $8000 and would probably write it off. can be fixed but he's too busy. then went to assessment centre, and the guy just went "oh shit, probably a write off" left my car with them so they can get an independent valuer in because he couldnt do it. so should have a value by friday hopefully and i get to keep the car because im a 3rd party. so the green r33 is no more. check the classifieds though as i'll have it up for wrecking in the next few weeks probably
  6. any reason its so cheap?? people are trying to sell these standard for more than that
  7. hey mate, i have a set of s2 standard coilpacks that have been siliconed up sitting here you are welcome to borrow. also have 2 turbosmart boost t's here if you time it right you might be able to borrow my afm as my car has been in a crash so im not driving it atm, but it will be going for repair/getting written off probably by the end of the week. so might be hard i also have a boost guage but its still in the car. cant be f**ked removing it sorry. haha im on the southside of bris (browns plains) youd need to pick them up cos my car has been crashed obviously and only have lend of the gf's mums car occasionally. steve
  8. nah last time i was out there was about a month ago to race go karts haha. yeah i was guessing it was gonna be at least $8000 to be fixed and considering market value for these are like $12000 max on redbook they are gonna want to write it off. im just worried about 2 things: 1. insurance wont let me use my own repairer and the work wont be done properly and i get f**ked around. 2. they write it off and i only get a shit payout and am out of pocket 1000's of dollars. anyone had any experience with this stuff? as far as i see i was stopped at a red light and got run into so i should be able to do it whatever way i want to, to level out my situation and they should provide me with a courtesy car for the time it takes to be fixed. haha only in a perfect world
  9. picked up a 2nd hand auto box for 150 end of last year after i killed my old one. much cheaper to just buy another box and swap it rather than pay for rebuilds etc also look into a shift kit and trans cooler, or you'll just kill the next one
  10. yeah who knows. 3rd car hit the car behind me, car behind me hit me. certainly did a good job of it. colour is hothouse green (new commodore green) with gold pearl. its most likely a full respray anyway so matching shouldnt be a problem. might even be written off yet as i think the chassis is bent. but i dont know a whole lot about this stuff. i know it sucks though
  11. now with pics guys What do you think? doesnt look pretty
  12. thanks guys, camerons was the one i was thinking of actually. i'll give them a call today. now the fun begins!
  13. Hey people, Well tonight on the way home from work some lovely people driving other cars decided to run into the rear of my car while i was stopped at a traffic light I want to take the car to some body shops tomorrow to try and get some opinions and possibly a quote on costs to fix, whether its a write-off etc. anyone know anywhere decent in the browns plains area i could try? the car is drive-able but doesn't look pretty so i dont want to drive too far. Cheers, Steve
  14. ive got 3 inch split dump ---> 3 inch high flow cat ---> trust peII with the mid muffler removed. when i first got the car i was sooo over the noise it made, pretty loud compared to my last 33 with oval muffler and mid muffler now im used to it it doesnt bother me at all. sounds a tad droney at times (could be to do with the auto though) get alot of people say how they love the sound of my car though. sounds great when you give it a bit
  15. damn, did i miss out? let me know if sale falls through
  16. did you ever have this on a dyno at all? heard bad things about it leaning out cylinders as it wasnt supposed to run like that... so that bracket in this pic isnt included? is it just the stock one moved to that position or would i have to make/source another bracket? Cheers Steve
  17. these momo grips etc you guys have... do they replace the button aswell? basically got this shithouse drift button thing that always falls out and wont always engage without f**king around with it. really annoying. but i have no spare original button and i think the rod which the button screws onto looks rooted (ie thread is wrecked) any links to what they are? where i can get one from?
  18. how the hell did you do that? ive butchered both my handbrakes (spare and one on car) trying to do this please reveal the secret...
  19. spotted 666DAN merging infront of me onto the gateway this morning just after 8ish.
  20. Just need confirmation that a torque converter from an automatic r34 will bolt straight up to the r33 auto trans? I'm assuming it would but i'd like to know for sure before i go buying this r34 one. Cheers!
