  1. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ What Jess said All noobs are welcome. We run different groups for obvious safety reasons ( based on speed and experience ). As there are some seriously fast cars coming out there could be a difference of 15 seconds per lap.........yes 15 seconds per lap around the south is a huuuuuge difference. The more the better. And as stated, you have some very experienced people wanting to help you learn and improve
  2. Hey DiRTgarage, tell Luke I said hello. How is his Kart venture going? He is such a polite guy. It was great to catch up with him at a Lexus day I was instructing at. He rocked up as guest the flog some cars around Eastern Creek haha So many people asking questions about the rules....Ask Nathan from Superlap or look at the site My understanding is PRO: Invite only. Cars doing sub 1.15s, around 10 cars total. Cars like Lotus, Lofty, Mark/Russ, Garth Waldo/BEL. These are the serious machines. If I was running Penlingtons Zed again, this is probably where it will end up. OPEN: Well it is open. This is what I will be running the S2000 in. Still want to know the exact rules on this classes re carbon doors, non glass windows etc which I think should not be allowed but hey that is me. CLUBMAN: Owner of the car has to drive it. The original engine or configuration is not allowed to be change. ie Elias who owns the S2000 is not allowed to run in this class as he has put a turbo on an N/A car. Run the same tyres as last year, the crap ones I have spoken to Nathan from Superlap, and that is my understanding from our conversation. Bring it on
  3. Hey Brad I Have had 3 offers so far lol but no GTR............hang on Jeff B is calling
  4. I don't think semis will make the S2000 over 2 seconds faster Harry
  5. Looks like I will be in Open and Pro. Pro is for cars doing sub 15's. I can run the S2000 in open this year with better tyres woohoo
  6. So who else is coming?? Some super fast GTR's coming
  7. Looking forward to another Superlap Don't worry about Oran Park, it will still be in operation throughout all of 2009.
  8. LOL you obviously watched the news Ben. I have been watching the construction at Oran Park for years. But yes, it has around 18 months left in it
  9. Hi all Give Ian Luff Motivation Australia a call on (02) 9829 5399 to place your booking SAU price is $255.00 Don't forget to mention it if you want the discount
  10. Looks as though a few good cars coming out to the 20th dec track day. Road cars, IPRA cars and Tarmac Rally cars
  11. Yes 'or competed'. Never had the $$$ to compete at a mega high level. So I decided this is the next best thing I am sure there will be some mega fast people going to this.
  12. I should pull the restrictors off it and give it a run to blow the cobwebs out of it
  13. Just spoke to him, he is keen and will put it on his site. He is at Eastern Creek all this weekend running the Zed. He also just told me superlap is all go for Oran GP 2009 in March woohoo
  14. Good call Brad, I will call JP now
  15. HEHE yes heaps more as the other circuit can be hired out at an additional cost. So if you want the other part or the track (GP) you will pay for it.
  16. Let me know the numbers on here first and I will twist Luffys arm for a better deal I will try and get another $10-15 bucks off.
  17. I spoke to Jason about this and it means people who compete in a National series ie V8 Supercars, Carrera Cup, Brute, F3 etc etc Targa Tassie and Buller are not classed as National Events..............but people like Jim Richards cannot enter. A few people have been refused entry lol Depends on what the driver trainer has competed in I suppose.
  18. Hi Crew What a way to end the year with a blast around the famous ORAN PARK south circuit. If you have never been around ORAN PARK this is an opportunity not to be missed. There will be plenty of quality driver trainers such as Luffy, myself (Boz lol), Benny Porter (recently crowned National Formula Vee Champion for the 2nd year running) and more Instructors depending on numbers. With a SPECIAL price of $265.00, this is a bargain. Luffys TRACK ATTACKS normally retail for $325.00 as some of you are well aware This day is definitely happening as we have already paid for the track. If you organise it through this thread I think I will be able to get another couple of dollars off. So boys and girls let me know if you are in for day
  19. No experts here Jason. As I said, with so many sceptics alot of people are trying to find out if it is the real deal. Can we see pic's of the cars and know some of the people preparing them? Who is doing the cages? Will they be CAMS approved? How many staff do you estimate you will need at Wakefield to take care of 45 cars that will need fuel, tyres, pads, rotors? And who are these people? Can we see an entry list? The concept sounds fantastic, but we are just trying to realise if I am dreaming or it is going to happen
  20. Re the C63 AMG........I spoke to merc and they know nothing about it as well. How are you going to get one as there is a decent waiting list. I work for Merc as well. I will speak to ACP magazines tomorrow and see what they know as they own Unique cars. Has anybody made contact with wakefield to find out if the bookings have been made. If not, I will speak to them tomorrow as well
  21. Ok there are plenty of sceptics about this event actually taking place. Can we get a list going of the 275 people that have actually forked out full price. I spoke to Subaru today and they do not know anything about the event. Jason, you said you had 28 cars already, can we see pictures of them?? As the order is for some 45 cars, I thought that this would come up on Subaru's radar. Have you got them from Japan. I would love this event to be true, but I would like to see proof ie pics, entry list etc If it's on, I'm in
  22. I thought it was a bit strange that the sprint never got started. I was teaching at Rallyschool at oran on that day and we were in mud lol Never got bogged once
  23. Hehe we are going to organise for another time to have a drive in the dry. I will keep you posted. There computer upgrade gives it another 70kwatw 290+ standard and 360+ with the Haltech
  24. Well I still enjoyed driving the Haltech R35 GTR around Oran Park in the pissing rain today. My first drive of the new GTR, woo hoo
