  1. Water meth kits are around $400AU to $800AU+ depending on the type of kit you get and what extras it has (safety cut off switches etc). As for installation, I was thinking of doing it myself as it isnt very hard to do, but John is installing the 3076r + tuning it, so I might as well get him to install the lot..
  2. I will also be getting a 3076r installed towards the end of Jan start of Feb, hopefully if John (trojan) is free by then.. but i will be getting a water meth injection kit installed as well, so it will be a bit different (increased timing etc) from a standard setup..

  6. my 2530 has the surge slots and its got a higher pitch whistle on spool, sounds good, but id love to see how the 3076r sounds when i get it installed in the next month or so...

  10. i currently have a HKS2530 on my RB25 and made 232rwkw with stock injectors and SAFC-II.. I bought a PFC and got it tuned, the tuner apparently lowered the timing and now im only getting 225rwkw @ 20psi but have better mid range power. I think its possible to make around 240rwkw with the 2535 but with unsafe timing and maybe a lot of knocking.. Cant wait to install the 3076r..

  16. i just bought myself a GT3037 (3076) EW 0.62rear and cant wait to put it on over the hoidays.., i currently have a HKS2530kai on my R33 and trust me, its not enough power... the HKS 25xx are very responsive turbos, give great mid range power, but its just not enough.. Oh and btw, The Mafia, I will be getting the WMI system as well, I been looking at AEM and Devils Own kits, which would you recommend for an R33 setup with GT3037? Cheers

  18. when the belt was off, he mentioned that the idler looked a bit suspect, (he didnt say anything about the tensioner) the idler looked like it had a few scratches on it, and it didnt spin as freely as he thought it should... and fair enough this could be the result of the whirring/forced sound, but what about the cluttering that happens every now and then when i turn the car off, could this be the same problem or something else? i might have to try get the belt off myself and take a proper look, ive never done this before, so i might have to look up some DIY info before i attempt it...
  19. on the subject, whats the maximum rwkw possible with 550cc SARD injectors? can I get 300rwkw? or should I get FPR installed as well?

  21. ive had a similar problem without the white smoke, water got in my cooler when i drove over a huge puddle at 80km/h with the throttle open (didnt think it would have been that deep), and water got into my open pod through the turbo and down the cooler.. my car ran like shit (hydrolocked) until i took my cooler off and drained the water out...

I recently got some head work done to my R33 and after driving it around for about a week now, i started hearing like a cluttering\churning noise coming from either the belts or inside the motor. The noise is there while the car is on and gets a little louder when going over bumps, but is most noticeable when turning the car off ass the belts stop turning.. what could this be? im not sure as to exactly where its coming from.. PS. apparently my timing belt was a little loose when my mechanic took the head off, and he tightened it up, is it possible to over tighten the timing belt which could cause problems or not? when i start my car it sounds a little like a supercharger, forced sound, and it didnt sound like this before.. any help would be appreciated.   23. your fuel reg might not be opening properly under boost.. get a new hose.. PS. i just replaced all of my vac hoses with silicon hoses, engine bay looks neater, plus fixed any leaks..
