  1. thanks for the prompt reply mate yeah ive noticed the front housing on the RB25 version is different from the RB26 twin type.. i doubt it would be worth stuffing around with the housings, might as well just buy the RB26 version..
  2. Is it possible to use a HKS 2530kai turbo from a RB25 on an RB26 twin turbo setup? Or do I have to buy the turbo specifically for a GTR? A guy i know is selling one cheap that came off a RB25...

  7. I just drained and filled up the diff oil (VMX 80) and i noticed only around 1.4L come out, when I filled it again, it started to leak from the filler side with around the same amount...? I thought they should have atleast 2L? anyone help out? my car is still on the hoist.. Cheers.

  10. I almost attempted this DIY this afternoon, and it got a bit late, so i only got up to unplugging the wiring loom and taking the wire off the right side rubber boot. What is the best tool to use to 'crack off' the large 4 sided rod?

  12. not really big power figures im after at the moment, just wanna have peace of mind, running over 20psi with a stock head gasket is a bit scary at times... i will be in the market for a bigger turbo in the next couple of months anyways...
  13. Also I couldnt find anything regarding high/low impedence injectors in the FAQ.. I am in the market to purchase a set of 500cc or + injectors for my R33 GTST, but I read on a website that the PFC does not support Low impedence injectors? Also, would I need to go and get a re-tune done if i were to install a set of injectors or would the PFC self learn? Cheers.
  14. hey Paul, nice write up on the PFC.. I was just reading through it, and I couldnt really find out how to set the REV RPM limiter? I noticed a write up on the PFC Pro - Launch Control, but wasnt too sure if this was the actual REV RPM limiter write up? Do i just need to go into SETTINGS, REV LIMIT and change the Rev. Limit setting to my desired setting? or is there more to it? Thanks.

I've had a similar problem with my R33 GTST, i usually get around 30 knocks on a normal drive which is apparently OK.. but as the weather got warmer I have noticed it knocking to well over 80 knocks on the PFC (especially in 3rd gear), and I have even lowered the boost. I think it might be the warm weather and high boost levels?

  17. sorry to steal the thread, i didnt wanna open a new one, but is it true that you cant run Low Impedence injectors with the PFC?

  19. wow, so im not the only one that it has happened to... the mechanic has paid for his mistakes which was good. do you know how he ended up fixing his? or did he actually get it welded like what im going to do? PS> Sorry for double posting, but i dont know how to delete posts on here..

The place I will be putting in the pistons has a hoist so if the sump comes off, it will save some time and i wont have to get the engine out... but if the RB25 sumps dont come off then obviously i will have to take the engine out.. I was told differently, to actually lower the compression a little so i would be able to run more boost (20-25psi) because these turbos can produce it and my current application can handle it. The gasket which i ordered is a 1.2mm by 87mm, so its not too thick...
  21. So i would have to get the engine out, the RB25 oil sump isnt bolted on the bottom? Long story short, there is a hole behind one of the exhaust manifold studs and its leaking oil.. the reason the hole is there is because a mechanic drilled through there to get a broken stud out and ended up drilling through the block into the oil gallery, so im taking it off to get it welded as i have tried to use sealers and everything else and nothing has worked so far.. so i thought i might as well change the head gasket along with the rest of the intake gaskets etc. while the head is off.. power at the moment is 230rwkw @ 20psi with HKS2530kai, this is why im getting a thicker metal head gasket as well..
