What Skline Is The Best?
fooey replied to Jezza1's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Get a decent quality R33 GTS-T manual that you can use as the base for your project car! (ahah free plug... see sig ) -
Bah there is always going to be stupid idiots that give their respective cars a bad name!

1995 Silver R33 Skyline Gts-t S1.5

OK thanks mate. You got yourself a very good deal! Must have been a fire sale as that is the price of a 32 gts-t. Even the 33 nonturbos/autos cost more than that. I wouldn't say my car has high KMs for a 1995 car...that is actually considered low KMs, but I'd be a bit pessimistic about a car the same age that had significantly lower KMs. I'm in no rush, and I'm after a buyer who has an eye for detail and wants something clean, either as a base for their next project car, or someone who wants to run it just as it is. -
1995 Silver R33 Skyline Gts-t S1.5
fooey replied to fooey's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Willing to negotiate, but not that low. It's not a S1 its a S1.5 It's a special model that Nissan released prior to the Series 2 (as you can see its got several S2 components, high wing, driver's airbag, S2 AFM, and probably other things I've forgotten as standard eq). Plus this model is clean, has the rare factory sunroof, and is a good base for those to mod or also for those who want a stock car. -
Yup, the pops are just backfires from (lots of) unburnt fuel... shouldn't cause any harm except for black exhausts and bad fuel economy!

How do the pistons just seize? From overuse? I would have thought the pads would just wear away faster... unless its mismatched pads to discs? P.S what do you mean by sieze? Does it just constantly brake?

I'm still running the HICAS, and haven't had any problems but then I am a bit of a granny driver heheh.

I'm <25 with Shannons full comp... Just Car's price was pretty much identical, (though I got JC's price first then called Shannons so maybe they gave me a price close). Ended up choosing Shannons for the pay by the month, agreed value and the customer service I got with Shannons was more receiving than JC.

Which One Would You Choose?
fooey replied to malinmc's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Holy crap awesome machines! Heheh I'd say the black just on looks -
Geez, I would be crying! G'luck having it fixed and back on the road. PS. I agree with everyone on insurance. Paying good money for full comp is worth every bean. In a no-fault accident pass everything onto the insurance comp, no excess paid by you, and they sort everything out. No stress for you! If you can't afford full comp, then look at buying a car that you can afford to insure full comp.

Removing R33 Steering Wheel with Airbag?
fooey replied to Anquetil's topic in Cosmetic, Styling & Respray
Did you get a airbag momo wheel? If not, prepare to get defected. You cannot replace a airbag wheel with one that doesn't have an airbag. (Ie, if you wan't to do it, keep the airbag wheel) -
HOWTO: RB25DET High Boost mode with standard solenoid
fooey replied to paulr33's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Without the solenoid, you should only be running max of 5psi (wastegate spring), if you are running 10psi, then you might be running a R32 wastegate actuator spring (which is apparently 10psi). -
