  1. a bit off topic but has any1 put there battery in the boot of a r34?? if so what size battery...any issues??
  2. From the sounds of things its the clutch and to be honest at that power im suprised it holding so well. jim berry does an awesome clutch kit give him a call...it feels like standard (on the foot) and grips like a gorilla to a banana.

You've got a GTR BOV yeah? yeh ive the gtr bov, have tried blocking it off also (jsut incase it was leaking) but to avail nothing different occured. your right about the 2835 being able to go further...ive dropped the exhaust and it made no difference at all and btw im running a 100cpsi metallic 3" cat and a hks dump, fujitusbo 3 inch down pipe and trust ti 3.5inch exhaust so im sure it isnt there...the thing with a leak would be that boost would keep being made but...it wont be making power. Now with the pressure drop from one side of the intercooler 25psi to a 17psi drop on the other side...i dont see how it could be the turbo (especially after its been proven time and time again that the 2835 is capable of it. i will be replacing all my clamps to t bolt clamps and looking to buy a plazmaman intercooler which hopefully fixes the issue. i appreciate all the help from all of you. as soon as the issue is found and it is sorted i will let every1 know. and mad082 ive got a hks evc 4 and i dont think its the boost controller due to the fact that there is 25 psi pre intercooler and only 17psi at throttle body. is that right??? btw...this turbo comes on like a light switch...18psi boost at 3600rpm and 250rwkw by 5000rpm...the tuner was impressed.
  4. yeh thats extremely similar to what is happening to mine... thanks adz34....i will change this intercooler 1st and go from there...im also changing all my hose clamps (ive checked my hose joints there all good)to the t-bolt clamps. yeh..it has shown quit a restriction...i guess the only way to fix things is to go over them again. either way i will let you all know how it turns out. if any1 has any idea's it would be much appreciated to have your input.

  6. it was tubo and fin, and was the standard type that comes over the radiator. still tossing up as to which intercooler to choose...hdi want $470 for a core only.
  7. when you say old cooler which one do you mean the hdi or the one you had previously. also have you got luis' from drift garage's number??? so will these hdi cores take up to 330rwkw?? still flipping that this china just jap cooler hit a brick wall...grrrr

  9. well the tuners theory is...boost wouldnt be dropping off so dramatically as there would still be volume for it to flow but there overall power reading would be lower. hance the reason why he claimed it to be the intercooler.
  10. ok so some of you may know already but i had a boost issue where my r34 gtt rb25det neo engine with hks 2835 pro s was not making over 250rwkw so we dropped the exhaust and NOPE wasnt that...so we then tested the pressure from turbo to after the inercooler and there was a 8 psi drop the moment it hit 5000revs and 250rwkw was the most it would go to then boost would drop dramatically. so we had almost 25 psi turbo side and inlet side was 17 psi...my tuner has told me that my just jap "cooling pro" intercooler has restricted the flow and the cooler needs to go for something better. now my aim 280 or so kw...and eventually on e85 up to 330rwkw. now what intercooler would i be looking for "NOT LOOKING TO SPEND A MINT ON IT" (im looking for intercooler only as ive got the piping and its front mounted with inlet/outlet on each bottom side) what have you guys used to pull bigger numbers and is this a common issue with the just jap coolers or do i just have shit luck. *pick a brand name cooler ? *get one custom made? *any other suggestions? in advance thanks heaps sau'rs!   11. dayyyyuuummmm quite the mods list there. look its a touchy subject with how much can standard engine take, it all comes down to the tune prodominantly..but some ppl on here have had there neo up to about 280 rwkw...which is a lot of power difference from there factory spec 160rwkw. so really it comes down to how risky ur keen to be...just make sure that tunes got good afr's and your not throwing too much boost...personally more then 18 psi from a turbo of your size. but more comes down to the tune. goodluck...im currently on the same avenue. btw y would u change your fuel pump?? its an 040 good for almost 500hp.

  13. do you have any photo's of your turbo and the way the wastegate is showing with the gap? if so post it up as it may help.
  14. well i would presume (based upon what ive read) due to detonation and all, with e85 which dies off once it hits its top end of power instead of detonation that it would be much safer to push more boost without the knock. although...i may just be wrong.

  17. that is some off the chart torque there champ.... must be hell of a ride... what other supporting mods? also at what revs is it making full boost?
  18. yeh we fixed the boost controller issue...but now there is another issues...its holding boost just fine til about 250rwkw and then boot drops....so there either must be a restriction and or a very fair sized air leak. going to asses it tomorrow. any hints?

  22. hey, i know the pfc doesnt show boost without the added boost control feature but i have found that "paulr33" pfc whizz has found a way to bypass it so you can show boost...now this is the link faq #74 (show boost without boost control kit) as to how it can be done. http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/...powerfc-faq.htm can someone tell me if i am able to to use any map sensor..obviously one hihg enough to show my maximum amount of boost. or does it have to be the denso branded one with the exact model number?? has anyone done this mod if so any hints or tips would be great. regards, Bass
  23. my standrard actuator that came with the hks 2835 pro wont hold more then .7bar without going nuts....so not too sure there...also having an issue with my hks evc 4....going to go sort that out tomorrow as it wasnt responding to learning mode. i will see how we go by tomorrow if i make it to the tuners before end of day.
